Located on 5 acres in the Ocala National Forest, Hookie's Hideaway is the perfect place to stay for easy access to all of nature's bounty and activities. This property is easily accessible, serene and peaceful. Campsites are in a beautiful grove of pine and sycamore trees. We are surrounded by forested camping areas and close enough to drive into town to pick up groceries or get a meal. We have a "you pick them" blueberry farm when in season. We are close to hiking, horse trails, lakes and springs. Bocce Ball and Croquet is available to play here anytime! We are only a short distance away from amazing horse riding trails and Florida's most popular natural springs. We live on the property and are available during normal business hours. We are free to ask questions and give suggestions for surrounding activities and dining options. We will interact as little or as much as you need. Birds singing in the morning and crickets at night ensure a restful getaway here. Our property is the perfect place to escape the noise and high paced city life.

Blueberry Farm Country Cottage

We loved our stay in this cute little cottage! The bed was comfy, tons of extra pillows, blankets, towels, etc, the kitchen was also well stocked. There were some really nice nice “above and beyond” touches too, like s’mores supplies and (dry!) firewood. We came to the area specifically for bird watching and chose this area because of the HUGE amount of easily accessible trails nearby. It’s a fairly rural area but there are gas/grocery/convenience stores all within 5-10 minutes. Note: cell service (especially T-Mobile) is spotty in the area, so plan ahead and pre-load your GPS on the cabins Wi-Fi.

Little Lulu

Above and Beyond Perfect

It would be hard to find a better spot. The property is serene and out of the way, and yet there are so many great places to see and things to do within a short drive. The hosts were welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. They get you there and everything is ready to go above and beyond expectations.

The Gunnisack

I stayed in the Gunnisack, a beautiful little chateau with outdoor seating and a firepit. The host were very accessible and accommodating; anything you could think of, they had provided. Overall, a comfortable little escape for my tabby and I ❤️

Little Lulu

My husband and I loved staying at Little Lulu! It was all set up and ready for us before we got there. The hosts are very kind and sweet, and they are easy to get ahold of if you need anything at all. They supplied us with towels, soap, cooking supplies, bug spray, etc.—literally anything you may need on a trip they had it! It was such a serene and peaceful getaway. They recommended Silver Springs, only 20 min away, and we kayaked on blue/clear waters and saw manatees and monkeys! One of our favorite trips so far. Showering outdoors under the stars definitely topped the trip! 10/10 recommend, and we will definitely be back. We love you, Lulu!
