RV Carport Retreat at Lucky U Ranch Nestled close to all the amenities of the ranch, this spacious 18' x 40' RV carport offers privacy and convenience without the presence of visiting horses or donkeys. It features a 50-amp electrical hook-up, filtered water, and a private septic system—perfect for extended stays. Shaded by mature oak trees and overlooking the tranquil lily pond, the site includes a private 16' x 24' paver patio complete with a cozy fire pit. Only one other RV shares the 5-acre property, and it is located well away from the carport, ensuring peace and quiet. For safety, dogs must remain on leash during the day, as the property shares a fence line with our Anatolian Shepherds. Well-behaved dogs may enjoy off-leash time after 5 PM as the shepherds are up in the barn.

This was our second visit to Rob & Mike's, and it was a perfect getaway weekend. The location is always so well-maintained, and it is absolutely perfect. Nights are filled with peace and quiet, and the location allows for so many activities during the day. This is a go-to from now on.

The camping was amazing. The camp sites were extremely spacious. Lots of rooms to let the kids run around and not disturb other campers. The horses walking right upto you was an awesome experience. Mike and Rob were very attentive to any needs or questions (ice, wood). We will be back!

We had a great time at Lucky U Ranch and will definitely be back! The bathrooms, showers, coffee bar, and dishwashing station were absolutely next level and set a new standard for camping. Rob and Mike also did a great job thinking of little things that made this day even more enjoyable. And of course, interacting with the animals was great fun for our whole group. We are frequent campers and brought along first timers - this was a great place to “break them in“ 🤓 We’re looking forward to our next visit!

Our stay at Lucky U Ranch was wonderful. Robe and Mike are exceptional hosts. Very welcoming, attentive, and accommodating. The property is beautiful and well-maintained, and the bathrooms were spotless. We loved all the animals on the farm, especially the free-roaming horses and donkeys. And don’t forget to bring your binoculars, the stargazing there is absolutely amazing.

This was an absolute treasure! The host were so kind and helpful. The showers were clean and same for restrooms and very well kept up with really cool add ons. The tour of the farm was the highlight. Love this place so much

Rob and Mike have curated a truly exceptional Hipcamp experience. You can feel their thoughtfulness and care in every detail on the Ranch. Waking up to a foggy sunrise under giant trees draped with Spanish moss as the horses trotted to greet me from the horizon… it felt singularly Tolkienian. Don’t miss out on the trails! This place is magical.

This place was by far the best place we ever camped! The campsite was secluded, but very close to the rest rooms and showers. The restrooms and showers were very clean and well stocked. They even provided towels if needed. The horses and donkeys were so friendly and very fun to have around! My grandson had a fantastic first camping trip and cannot wait to come back! We very much enjoyed the tour of the farm and Lucy was the best part! Rob and Mike were the best hosts and very knowledgeable about all the animals! It was a blast!

Let's just start by saying the reviews are spot on, and if we could give more than 5 stars, this place would be getting them. From the very start, the hosts were very connected and went over everything. The sites are perfectly maintained, well set up, and accommodating. The bathrooms were actually clean and functioning, there was coffee and hot chocolate in the morning, and having horses and donkeys roaming around was just icing on the cake. Out of the sites we have visited (HipCamp and State Parks), this one is by far our favorite and will be on regular rotation. You will not be disappointed in any aspect here.

Rob and Mike the absolute best! Not only are they the most kind, hospitable and welcoming people but their entire property is a piece of heaven! You feel the isolation and privacy that everyone loves with camping but also have full bathrooms, showers and kitchenette if needed! The perfect place to camp, especially if you have friends who are newer to camping :) we will always be coming back!

We had such a great stay! The campsite was private, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful woods — the perfect mix of comfort and nature. We even had horses wandering nearby, which made the whole experience feel extra special. The kids loved the swings, and the coffee bar was such a thoughtful touch in the mornings. The shower was super clean with great quality water — honestly one of the best we’ve had while camping! You can tell the hosts really care about the space and their guests. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a great time! The whole property is a very lovely place. We stayed in the hobbit hole. A nice spot underneath the oak trees. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. And the outdoor kitchen area is awesome. They have a microwave there so you can bring some home cooked meals and heat them up. The tour of their ranch was a delight. You get to see all their livestock. Horses and donkeys roam the property during the day so be mindful to pack your things up if you leave for the day. We will definitely return.

Mike, one of the owners was very accommodating. This is a wonderful piece of land for primitive camping, yet the pavilion has an excellent kitchenette, bathrooms, and showers which include electricity and hot water. If you’re looking for a wonderful quiet location to enjoy nature, this is a place for you.

Lucky U Ranch is a beautiful and peaceful place to camp. Rob and Mike are so warm and friendly. Anytime I came across them, they made sure my stay was going well. It’s close to springs, but even closer to the Withlacoochee State Trail, so bring your bike! The only disappointment - I didn’t hear any big cats 😉 Oh, and if you’re lucky, the horses will say goodbye when you leave! Thanks again, Rob and Mike!!

Lucky U ranch is an awesome place to stay. The campground is huge and the sites are very spaced out. We stayed at the 'Far Away' site and it was very private with a large amount of space to roam around. Exploring the cypress domes while they were dry was fun. You'll typically be greeted by donkeys or horses at your campsite or while taking a walk. We brought carrots to feed all of them but didn't last too long, they ended up finishing our cantaloupe! It was a neat experience especially when you've never interacted with these type of animals before. They are all very friendly and love to be fed. Rob and Mike know how to setup a campers paradise. The dish washing station and bathroom/showers were an awesome touch. I recommend to anyone looking for a hipcamp in florida

We loved staying here. Mike and Rob were very fast with communication, the were very pleasant and so were all their staff. The sites all looked very nice. We stayed in the hobbit hole. Nice secluded flat spot with fire ring, an picnic table. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. They truly go above and beyond here and it’s easy to see why they’re top rated. 5/5 from us and we’d stay here again!

First of all, congrats to Rob and Mike on receiving the Best Hipcamp award for 2025! If anyone deserves it, it is them! My third visit here, and as always...it was amazing! Rob and Mike are the greatest hosts! They are so accommodating, super nice, and keep such great care of the property. Bathrooms and showers are always very clean. I just love the animals there, especially the horses and donkeys! I came this time to do some kayaking. So many awesome places nearby. My 9-year-old granddaughter usually comes with me but unfortunately, she had school. We feel so safe camping at this ranch! This is undoubtedly our favorite place to camp and will be coming back as much as possible!

We loved our first Hipcamp experience here! We were treated like family by Rob and Mike from the escort to our beautiful well-maintained campsite with plenty of special touches like firewood, a night lantern, and large mat in front of our camper. Just a short walk away was a cute comfort station with a small well stocked kitchen, coffee service, hot showers with fresh towels, and clean flushing toilets. We enjoyed the huge property, hiking trails and animals that visited our campsite and the farm tour. We also explored some local areas like state parks, bike trails, and train museum. We already have reservations for our trip!

Lucky U Ranch is even better in person than in the photos. Rob and Mike are awesome hosts, the animals are friendly, the kitchen and bath are well stocked, clean and convenient. Campsites are large. Thanks so much. I'll definitely be back!

Rob and Mike were exceptional hosts. Their property is large, quiet, and a great sample of "old Florida." We made a point of checking out all of the camp sites. All were quiet, private, and in a beautiful setting. The ranch animals were abundant, fun, and friendly. We would highly recommend the LuckyUranch... This was by far the best Hipcamp that we have visited..... hands down. Thank you Mike and Rob!!!

First off, Rob and Mike are amazing hosts! They went above and beyond with their ranch for the animals and the camping side of the property! There is so much thought that went into this camp site, from small details to large details you can feel the love they put into everything so their guests can enjoy camping but also be given the glamping experience with the bathroom with operational plumbing, heated showers, soaps, shampoos, clean towels, kitchen stocked with hot coco, coffee and automatic lights that light up as you approach the bathroom / kitchen area. The property is so large and there are many camp sites from covered car ports for rvs, campers to tent sites and open sites for rvs and campers. Rob and Mike gave us a tour of the ranch and introduced us to the farm animals the day we were leaving, took time out of their day refreshing the camp sites to accommodate us before we left. The only downside here was that we only booked a single night, we wish we had more time to stay and explore the ranch and the area. I cannot recommend Lucky U Ranch enough, my wife and I will definitely be back and stay longer so we can enjoy the property, trails and the free ranging animals that come visit your campsite. Thank you Rob and Mike, we see the passion the both of you put into everything on lucky u ranch! Hope to see you again soon!
