the campground is under an ancient canopy of oaks. so youll always have shade. the center of the property is unique to say the least but the campground is nature at its finest.
there is a 2.6 mile nature trail across from the campground to explore.
also there is a boat ramp for fishing about 1/8 mile away. you are welcome to roam over most of the 80 acres. We have goats, cows and chickens as well. All super friendly.

This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. The pond is Spring-fed at the headwaters of Marsh Branch Creek which begins at our property and flows West about five miles in to Tampa Bay.
Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites.
Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants.
Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too.
Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand.
Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas.
The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish).
Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property.

Frank Page purchased the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground in 2008 which included the original seven acres of the lower portion of the Rendezvous. At that time there were only a few buildings and the primitive campground area. Frank started cleaning the area and stabilizing all the buildings. In 2009 another 20 acres was purchased, which is now considered the upper area of the Rendezvous. In 2010, another seven acres were added to the property. Frank planned and constructed the Upper Rendezvous area which was completed in 2012 and added 136 RV sites as well as the dog park, barn and pigeon coop. The dog park has five sections, for both small and large dogs, with ample room to run.

Frank began raising pigeons in 2012. The first pigeons purchased were homing pigeons, which started the Pigeon Races that are still a fun, family favorite event on Saturday afternoons. Frank also bought and started raising other pigeons, the Birmingham Roller. Birmingham Rollers are a very popular breed of domesticated pigeons that originated in Birmingham, England, where they were developed via selective breeding for their ability to do rapid backward somersaults while flying. You can often see them flying around the Upper Rendezvous in the mornings and afternoons. These pigeons are used for our weekly Pigeon Races.

Mount Dora is across the main street less than 5 minutes away. Our antique town is an amazing experience to explore with lots of history and complete with quaint shops and restaurants, boating and lots of things to do. Rennigers Antique Center is located right up the street (less than 5 minutes away) for some great picking. We are conveniently close to the Central Florida Attractions and the beach on both east and west coasts within an hour drivep. A few Campers favorite places to visit are Mount Dora Bike Trail - 2.6 miles, Kelly Park - 11 miles and Kings Landing 12 miles from farm.
We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee.
Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on.
In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us.
Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property.
Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be.

Hi, I'm Danielle. My Mom, JoAnn, founded Black Horse Ranch in 2017. "You're family here" is something she said all the time to people who came to stay, and it is truly at the heart of our ranch. Black Horse is a place to enjoy nature, camping, campfires, and good company, in a place that feels like home.
The property is a beautiful campground nestled into a nook of the Ocala National Forest. We are surrounded on 3 sides by forest, and you can ride or hike straight from any of the many trailheads on property!
We offer 30 and 50amp sites, there is a bath house with full bathrooms and laundry, a Community Kitchen you are welcome to use, a screened in Pavilion for meals or hanging out, a POOL! (yes you read that right!) and a Clubhouse with couches, games and all! We have a few rentals (a cabin and RV) and we are working on getting more. We do have wifi on the property, and we also offer golf cart rentals.
If you have horses, you'll love coming to Black Horse. We are surrounded by countless trails through the forest with the trail heads sitting right on property, two barns for horses, many outdoor stalls and paddocks, wash racks, and an extra large riding arena.
There is world class fishing nearby at the St. John's River and we are right near many beautiful springs - which, if you have never spent time in a natural spring you will absolutely want to check that out! Kayaking, tubing, swimming galore in crystal clear waters. We are a 20 minute drive from the Villages which offers shopping, dining, and activities, as well as 20 minutes to historic Mount Dora which is a beautiful artsy downtown village. We are 1 hour from Daytona & New Smyrna, 1 hour from Orlando (Disney anyone?).
There is plenty to do on the ranch and nearby the ranch. You will have a blast. We'll see you by the campfire!

The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

The place is beautiful and relaxed. Watched the birds and the bunnies. Enjoyed the campfire while watching the Moon.

Cristy was great about being available, and personally greeting us when we arrived.
I would recommend a stay here, but with caveats. If you want potable water, Cristy does provide a connection to her house spigot, but unless you want to attach to her garden hose, bring at least 75' of your own, drinking-water hose.
There's enough space for a slide, of course, but I don't think you could also extend an awning due to tighter parking, and adjacent/overhanging trees.
As you might expect in this part of Florida, there are tons of ants. Know how to prevent ants in an RV, if you plan to stay here.
Close to civilization, while keeping a quiet, private feel.
Cristy was helpful, available, and tipped us off to where and when we could watch a rocket launch from her driveway.

We absolutely loved staying at Honey Bee Ranch. Caroline and Cindy were both super accommodating and kind. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. The donkeys and cows are so friendly! We loved the proximity to all nearby attractions. Caroline’s welcome book has fantastic recommendations, too. We can’t wait for our next trip.

Weekend Trip to Blue Fox Ranch: Lake & Farm Camp
We loved our stay at the Sunset View Camper at Blue Fox Ranch and are already looking forward to returning!
Luiz was friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The ranch is a beautiful property with animals including Bruno the dog, horses, bulls, chickens, and plenty of cows. We even spotted a “swamp puppy” and caught a fish during our stay.
The camper was small but comfortable, with a queen bed, two bunk beds, a fold-out futon, a compact refrigerator, a three-burner stove, dishes, and other essentials. The bathroom was small but functional, and the hot shower was a welcome treat after a day outdoors.
One of our favorite activities was taking the paddle boat out on the water. We spent about an hour exploring, got several bites, and caught a nice small bass. The location is also convenient, with Brighton Bay Casino nearby and plenty of fishing opportunities in the area.
Be sure to bring firewood and supplies for s’mores. The night sky was breathtaking, with countless stars visible in the clear, dark skies. Although there were other campers and tent sites on the property, the ranch still felt peaceful and spacious.
We also recommend bringing apples and carrots for the horses and stopping for supplies before arriving. The nearest Walmart is in Clewiston, about 28 minutes away, though there is a Dollar General just a few minutes down the road.
If you’re looking for glamping, this isn’t it. But if you want a true camping experience surrounded by nature, Blue Fox Ranch

This has been the best place we've stayed! Everyone is very friendly and happy to help any way they can. The view are amazing, the property is peaceful and quiet. It feels safer and more comfortable than anywhere we've stayed. You're free to interact with the horses and donkeys wandering the property throughout the day, so keep some carrots handy! The electricity has been reliable and steady throughout our stay of several weeks. And the price is fantastic, especially considering all the perks of staying here and the fact that we have a carport covering over our RV!
The showers and bathrooms on site are so cool and very clean, you can tell they take great pride in everything they do here. Where the bathrooms are at, they have a small bin of outdoor toys for kids in case you need something to entertain the little ones. They also have Keurig coffee maker, a large dishwashing sink, a microwave, etc nearby the bathrooms in case you need. They have several well marked walking trails on the property. On the weekend if you want to participate, they do a farm tour where you meet the goats, pigs, chickens, turkeys, etc.
We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for a while as we got ourselves ready and situated in the RV for full time living. It almost made us reconsider leaving and just maybe staying here lol.
We will definitely be back when we come to Florida to visit family. Thank you Rob and Mike for such a wonderful stay and sharing your space with us!

My son and I had plenty to do. James dropped off plenty of firewood and checked to make sure things were going well. He told of different places to boat and kayak and tube close by. We enjoyed biking and looking at all the “relics”. Definitely a fun camp vibe and worth the money. We plan to be back.

I had been on the road for about 3 weeks and just really needed a place to chill for a few days and this was it! I definitely needed the electricity because it was so hot and muggy. The hosts were perfect, they introduced themselves, had suggested some places to eat, offered bug spray, and left me to do what I wanted. It was perfect!!!!! I am now restored and back at life again

My daughter and I had the most peaceful and amazing camping trip here at Lucky U Ranch! I highly recommend for families or couples or anybody looking to get away the crazy life of Florida. The ranch itself is very beautiful and upkeep. The public amenities couldn’t be better. The shower is the toilet and everything were absolutely incredible! And a top of it all off the livestock and the beautiful horses were absolutely just a cherry on top! All the animals are so friendly and roam around freely. It really is such a gem to Camp here! We tent camp at the magnolia spot. We couldn’t recommend it more. It felt very private and secluded, but still very close to all the amenities. I highly highly recommend this place! We will definitely be back this winter. Thank you so much to you both! And Mike, you are absolutely outstanding. I really appreciate your hospitality and generosity!

This was my second visit to Terrapy Farm and Mike is still such a wonderful host and the land was an absolute sanctuary: full of mango, lychee, and bananas. It felt like a tropical paradise.
I used to live in St. Pete and love staying here when I come down to visit. Just 30-45 minutes away, it's an excellent basecamp for my adventures through Tampa and St. Pete.

We loved staying with Rob & Mike. We were escorted to our campsite and given a brief tour of the shared spaces. Live Oak had a wonderful tree canopy which kept the temperatures manageable. Each day we were visited by donkeys and horses who were all very curious and friendly. We joined the tour Saturday morning and meeting all the goats, holding a kid, and meeting Lucy and the mini horses was the best! Rob and Mike are knowledgeable and friendly. Felt like I knew them for years! We will be back for sure!

This place is the best kept secret. Don’t hesitate to make a reservation. The staff is super friendly and they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed waking up in my off grid class B Camper surrounded by Longhorn cows. It was magical.
