the campground is under an ancient canopy of oaks. so youll always have shade. the center of the property is unique to say the least but the campground is nature at its finest.
there is a 2.6 mile nature trail across from the campground to explore.
also there is a boat ramp for fishing about 1/8 mile away. you are welcome to roam over most of the 80 acres. We have goats, cows and chickens as well. All super friendly.

This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. The pond is Spring-fed at the headwaters of Marsh Branch Creek which begins at our property and flows West about five miles in to Tampa Bay.
Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites.
Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants.
Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too.
Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand.
Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas.
The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish).
Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property.

Frank Page purchased the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground in 2008 which included the original seven acres of the lower portion of the Rendezvous. At that time there were only a few buildings and the primitive campground area. Frank started cleaning the area and stabilizing all the buildings. In 2009 another 20 acres was purchased, which is now considered the upper area of the Rendezvous. In 2010, another seven acres were added to the property. Frank planned and constructed the Upper Rendezvous area which was completed in 2012 and added 136 RV sites as well as the dog park, barn and pigeon coop. The dog park has five sections, for both small and large dogs, with ample room to run.
Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground Pool
Frank began raising pigeons in 2012. The first pigeons purchased were homing pigeons, which started the Pigeon Races that are still a fun, family favorite event on Saturday afternoons. Frank also bought and started raising other pigeons, the Birmingham Roller. Birmingham Rollers are a very popular breed of domesticated pigeons that originated in Birmingham, England, where they were developed via selective breeding for their ability to do rapid backward somersaults while flying. You can often see them flying around the Upper Rendezvous in the mornings and afternoons. These pigeons are used for our weekly Pigeon Races.

The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

Hi, I'm Danielle. My Mom, JoAnn, founded Black Horse Ranch in 2017. "You're family here" is something she said all the time to people who came to stay, and it is truly at the heart of our ranch. Black Horse is a place to enjoy nature, camping, campfires, and good company, in a place that feels like home.
The property is a beautiful campground nestled into a nook of the Ocala National Forest. We are surrounded on 3 sides by forest, and you can ride or hike straight from any of the many trailheads on property!
We offer 30 and 50amp sites, there is a bath house with full bathrooms and laundry, a Community Kitchen you are welcome to use, a screened in Pavilion for meals or hanging out, a POOL! (yes you read that right!) and a Clubhouse with couches, games and all! We have a few rentals (a cabin and RV) and we are working on getting more. We do have wifi on the property, and we also offer golf cart rentals.
If you have horses, you'll love coming to Black Horse. We are surrounded by countless trails through the forest with the trail heads sitting right on property, two barns for horses, many outdoor stalls and paddocks, wash racks, and an extra large riding arena.
There is world class fishing nearby at the St. John's River and we are right near many beautiful springs - which, if you have never spent time in a natural spring you will absolutely want to check that out! Kayaking, tubing, swimming galore in crystal clear waters. We are a 20 minute drive from the Villages which offers shopping, dining, and activities, as well as 20 minutes to historic Mount Dora which is a beautiful artsy downtown village. We are 1 hour from Daytona & New Smyrna, 1 hour from Orlando (Disney anyone?).
There is plenty to do on the ranch and nearby the ranch. You will have a blast. We'll see you by the campfire!

We arrived late due to our own scheduling issue and had to leave early the next morning for a medical appointment in The Villages. The communication with Danielle was outstanding with practically immediate response and she was very accommodating with our schedule and needs. She gave us a group of sites to choose from, and we were easily able to get in and setup in the dark due to our late arrival. We didn't see much but what we did see was very well kept and had a lot of nice touches of decor that made the whole place really inviting. We will definitely be back for a visit and will spend more time to check out all that this place has to offer.

Rob & Mike were very polite and respectful. They showed us around and we were pleased. At night it was so quiet and we were alone to star gaze. We walked around the property and it’s very nice. I do recommend and will be coming back again. Thank you guys.

This place is super cool! Collectors edition! Host is way cool. It’s got a nice set up with sink and tables , lights , knife set , tongs , fire pit .
All the forests are disappearing in FL .. support the locals who keep them safe !
I loved this so much more than staying at the state parks ! Really neat experience. ! Go!

I loved this place and I absolutely will be back soon. Whether you are looking for some alone time in the woods or you want to socialize, this place has it. Up front is the weekend bar and farmer’s market space, further back you will find super cool waterfalls and lovely space beyond. Frank is a fantastic host and the place is frequented by very good people. Contact Frank, you will not regret it!

This was a unique camping experience! We enjoyed exploring with our dog and got to pet the goats and one of the cats! I ended up taking my grad photos here because there are so many different opportunities to take pictures.

I liked the location because it was within easy driving distance of Crystal River and Rainbow Springs where I had activities planned. No one was camping near me, so it was private and quiet. The bathroom and showers were clean. The waterfall was not on at this time (drought in the area). A friendly cat kept me company.

Wonderful place! Rebecca was very welcoming and kind. The camping site was very clean and close to the water. We saw a lot of birds. We walked around and the area was simply beautiful and peaceful. We will definitely come back!

3 nights at Lucky U Ranch
We rented their camper which was clean, comfortable would definitely rent again. The property is beautiful quiet and peaceful. The best is having coffee in the morning at their coffee station, then having the donkeys and horses come on your site for carrots (bring plenty of carrots). Very clean and nice showers and bathrooms.

Everything went well! I loved the facilities…very comfortable and very clean. I loved the daily interactions with the donkeys and horses. Of course we brought carrots for them, and I found myself standing in the middle of the horses feeding them! We even got a little tour of the ranch…beautiful place!

We had another fabulous time at Lucky U ranch. These hosts are so wonderful and gracious. Everything is so clean and accommodating. We got a full ranch tour and got to visit the new baby goats and all the other animals. I grew up on a farm and have had farm animals my whole life. I'm now retired and live in a 55 plus community in Florida and I miss my animal interactions so this is my go-to place for my horse and donkey fix. We were visited by donkeys and horses every morning and afternoon. This is just such a relaxing, quiet place to camp. What a wonderful place to bring your children to interact with the animals. We can't say enough about Mike and Rob as hosts. They are the best! We will be back again

Amazing campsite! The site was private and shady. They offer everything you need: a nice shower, activities for children, and much more. The hosts were super friendly and even offered a ranch tour. It was great to see all the animals! If possible, we would definitely come back. 100% recommended!
