We got there and there as nobody to greet us or tell us where to go, there are no lights or site markers so my partner and I walked around in the pitch black Florida country for 2 hours until coming across another couple who also couldn’t find their site. We exchanged numbers and got another hosts number from them, Katy the host never answered us and her voice “mailbox” was full. Math who I’m assuming is Katy’s partner or relation tried to tell us where to go but there were already people in our site. On top of that Katy said that we either have to camp in our car or pitch a tent after we booked the yert “glamping” experience and paid for it. They never refunded any of our money and we didn’t even stay in the site we reserved. Math ended up putting us in his “personal” yert that I guess nobody uses but on the website but people can still book? It was dusty and there were holes in the clearly not washed satin curtains, the art is subjectively dark and the “lake” is a puddle that’s slowly drying up, there is no privacy and you have to walk through others sites to get to the rest of the camp. When you first pull in it’s like pulling into someone’s back yard the bathrooms ran out of toilet paper and saw dust and the shower wouldn't turn off. We didn’t even stay to see how it was during the day as soon as we woke up we were out of there even though we paid for 2 nights. If you see Katy O. trying to host just save yourself some time and money and avoid anything to do with it.

The Flat Land Center Camp
Strange place. I showed up 15 minutes prior to my check-in at 2pm. I had no clue where the campground was and nobody was around to show me. I just wandered around until I found it. Turns out you have to walk all your stuff to your site. That wasn’t specified in the listing. I followed the vague directions about where my particular spot was and the only bring-your-own-tent spot I saw had trash in it. The host didn’t respond to me when I asked for confirmation about my specific site, so I settled at a site that had a tent already setup right next to it until they came and kicked me out and said they couldn’t offer me the upgrade because someone booked that spot I was in. I obliged and moved to the unsuspecting spot which is quite the downgrade. No fire ring, no table, no nothing. She moved the trashed and was kind enough to get a cooking grill for the fire “hole” i had to build a fire in. I setup my tent and everything which I was prepared for so no biggie. Nobody ever showed up to the site they supposedly had booked so I could’ve upgraded instead of setting up elsewhere. O well, your loss. The next day there was a truck stuck in the ditch right next to the entrance with its blinkers on and doors wide open. It remained like this for 3 hours. In the morning, a man started flying a drone over the campground and luckily ran into a tree before he could invade everyone’s privacy. Overall, the place was not well kept and communication/direction was minimal.

The host did not respond promptly to my messages or questions, she was not there on-site when I arrived so I did not know where to go. The camp was poorly maintained with trash around and rotting structures. The only person on sight when I arrived was a woman sitting in a car who had mental health issues and she told me about a man who lived in the one building on this site who would harass her. I did not feel safe to stay here so I left and the host was not forth coming with a refund. A partial refund finally did come after contacting the administration. I would not recommend staying at this camp to anyone.

I never made it to the Center. It may be a nice place to stay but I've had issues with the Host and Hipcamp.
First I was sure that I booked two nights as I paid 2X the nightly rate plus $20.00. When I advised the host that I would not be there for the first night she tells me I only booked one night but she'll apply that to the next night. Nice of her.
When I inquired about the difference between the published rate, $66.20/night and what I was charged, $153.25, I got no explanation just that according to her cancellation policy, if you don't show up the first night then you forfeit all of your reservation. I could find no cancellation policy anywhere on the Flat Land page or at HipCamp.
I had a lot of trouble logging into my account with the Hipcamp app and like all online businesses today, it's impossible to talk to a human.
Is Flat Land a nice place to stay, I don't know, other reviews say so. Would I book with this person again, NO, I don't conduct business like this and I don't do business with people and businesses that do. I've requested a refund of the over charge but I'm not holding my breath.

Needs maintenance. Toilets were so full I couldn't wipe sitting down. I see potential, but they might have gotten ahead of themselves. Host was nice even though she had no idea we were showing up? Booked for 2 nights, but left after the first night. Kitchen/dishwashing area very gross. Loud. Garbage. Felt like we were just in their yard. Listing grossly misrepresented the yard we camped in. Again, host was friendly.

The Flat Land Center Camp
Great set up they have here. Private sites. We did a tent site which was great but they also have yurts that looked very cozy and accommodating too. We didnt get to meet the host but did get to meet her mom and she was very friendly and accommodating. The stars are so bright at night. Very laid back with some great fellow guests.

Loved this cute little space I was camping in my car for one night and it was perfect. Shower was amazing and hosts and family were friendly and nice. Smelled marshy around there but that was to be expected 😌

The Flat Land Center Camp
This was a very cool little campsite. We didn’t realize we would need to hike in all of our gear and supplies. The listing could have been more clear about that. Some of the photos are outdated and slightly misleading as well. The site is in a residential area and was very loud with road noise, loud neighbors, and roosters crowing almost all night. The shower was unusable and also our checkout time was change on short notice. Besides these things the property is very beautiful with a very fun atmosphere. Our spot was private, well shaded, and the property owner was extremely kind and helpful. We would camp there again despite the inconveniences!

Katy was accommodating with our request to stay in our roof top tent. We even got a site with a fire pit! Jane, who lives on property was very sweet. The outdoor shower was nice and warm!

One hour after I booked a tent for the same night I received a message that the tent is unavailable and that I will have to be refunded. But my refund request was rejected and the host stopped answering my multiple messages asking to sort this out. This is super unpleasant and has never happened to me.

My friends and I loved the Katy's land. It was serene and just what we expected. I went to get away from the normal and I found paradise.
I wanted to give my daughter an experience she would never forget so she would actually ask me to do it again.
That is exactly how it went. I am satisfied.

Moved to a second location due to being double booked. Second location we were not a fan of, very small and very cramped, sand everywhere, there was also not enough lights in the room. Small fridge was disgusting, obvious it had not been cleaned in a long time.

The pictures made it look like a paradise for a super low price. It was a deal at $12 a night with a tent set up but we had our own cuz they don’t let dogs stay in their tents. I was excited about a shower even if cold. Everything they provided for tables chairs and dishes are left outsideand not meant to be outside all the time, so wood stuff is cracking and dishes would have to be cleaned first. They did have a dishwasher station with soap and potable water. Toilets didn’t smell despite there being no more sawdust. We got to find out own spot to set up behind the little outdoor bar. All in all it was a last minute decision so we were greatful to find them and bring our dog too. Just some upkeep issues that we would have done a bit differently.

Hurricane Helene had just passed through, so there was no power at any of the camps and most of the paths were ankle depth mud pools. The biting insects were out in force, including yellow flies, but our hosts did offer fresh aloe on the last day. The sand pad our tent was pitched on became a mud pit that squelched under the tarp and tent. The shower was only cold water, reachable once again through a mud field.
That said, we didn't see the camp in all it's functionality. Maybe this place is a pleasant glamping spot at other times. We did receive lots of privacy: we could have been camping alone.

This camp property was super private and I loved the fact nobody bothered us!
The screened in area is a game changer! Especially in Florida with all the bugs! Just keep in mind it is still camping and you will still see frogs etc.
It is super dark around the campsite (there’s a lamp inside the cabin though) so if you like to explore at night make sure you bring a flashlight/headlamp that’s charged! Especially to the bathroom 🥰
Tons of area to explore which is extra nice if you have children or dogs!
Only thing (which they explain in the site info so make sure you read!) is dogs are allowed at the camp site but not allowed in the cabins! Keep in mind if your dogs are clingy like mine!!
Last thing is they have a huge power strip with PLENTY of outlets, however, if you use an indoor camping AC or power bank, make sure you check wattage or just charge ahead of time!
I highly recommend FLC and Katy did a BEAUTIFUL job on this artistic cabin!

It is a great campground. It's clean and the shower is perfect. Each tent camp area is nice and private with its own pathway to enter. Good privacy and great nature feel. The hosts are very attentive and keep the place running smoothly.

Better description of the site. It's literally someone's forested back yard in a neighborhood with nobody to direct you where to go. To be honest I would never recommend this place to anyone who likes camping.

Lots of native plants, trees and shrubs made this campsite extra quiet and relaxing.
I enjoyed the access to electricity for charging my phone, etc.
Make sure you sleep with your rainfly/ tent cover off, weather allowing. Was nice to look at all the stars in the sky.

Katy’s land was such a great time! They had a pond that you can camp around. There are multiple sites and it was very well maintained! The only thing I would say I had difficulty with was the initial directions to the campsite. If there could be a clearer sign or map to the different sites or a more in depth description to the sites on the app.

Beautiful, little spot. Separated from the rest of camp. You’re off in your own, little piece of wooded heaven!! For this particular spot, I would suggest a privacy fence, between where the owners of the property park and the actual tiny house. That would definitely make you feel like you weren’t just camping in someone’s backyard. It’s really nice with the deck and everything. Your own bathroom as well. Area for a fire (too hot in the summer months) great sitting area with a table. I really enjoyed my stay here!!
