Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location. But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future. However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families. As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch. You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! It’s up to you. We are a peaceful, safe location from which you can stage your Florida adventure. Come on by. We look forward to hosting you! Learn more about this land: Park your van/small RV or pitch your tent on our rural homestead conveniently located 1000 ft off of US Hwy 1. Nearest I-95 exit is 3 miles away. Watch rocket launches, visit nearby beaches, attend NASCAR races, see local communities, relax at Canaveral National Seashore, birdwatch at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, fish Mosquito Lagoon, or visit the amusement parks of Orlando, we are a safe and quiet location from which to stage your adventures. We have two campsites. Site 1 is a nice level, grassy campsite for tent or RV, complete with a fire ring, picnic table, and firewood. Site 2 is the Glamping Greenhouse! We aren't fancy, but are clean, secure, and private. You can come and go as you please, and day-trip all over beautiful central Florida!

Don't stay in the middle of another loud, packed campground. Enjoy the peace and quiet that only comes from staying in a quiet rural setting with absolutely NO other campers onsite. At Koblasz Farms, the value is in the privacy. You get the property to yourself, guaranteed. Walk with the animals. Talk with the animals. Koblasz Farms is one of the few farms remaining in Seminole County, and the only breeder of registered Scottish Highland Cattle. These beautiful girls are part of the oldest registered breed of cattle in the world. They will take your breath away as they mingle in your surrounding pastures. If you are lucky, you may even see one born. Few things in life are cuter than Scottish Highland calves, unless you ask the mini-donkeys or the goats that will do their best to convince you otherwise. Feeding experiences available. And wildlife abounds. You can expect to see deer, wild turkeys, eagles, hawks, cormorants, cranes, turtles, and other wildlife. We are conveniently located 40 minutes from Disney, an hour from Daytona Beach, 50 minutes from New Smyrna Beach, and 20 minutes from downtown Orlando. We are also minutes away from parks for hiking, picnicing, kayaking and canoeing on the Little Wekiva River including the Wekiva River State Park, Katie's Landing, and Wekiva Landing.

Welcome to Cozy Freedom at Earthperks Farm, where the convenience of town meets the serenity of nature in perfect harmony amid the beauty of Florida's pine forests. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of city life, our agritourism destination offers a unique camping experience that allows you to immerse yourself in the natural splendor of the Sunshine State, yet a direct drive of just 11 miles to the Atlantic Ocean. Our camping sites are nestled within a pristine pine flatwoods ecosystem, where towering pines create a canopy overhead, dappling the forest floor with patches of sunlight. Each campsite is thoughtfully spaced to offer privacy and tranquility, allowing you to unwind and reconnect with nature. Awake to the melodic trill of songbirds greeting the dawn, and start your day with a leisurely hike in Tiger Bay State Forest nature trails directly connected behind the farm. Meander through the pine forest, pausing to admire the delicate wildflowers that carpet the forest floor and the occasional glimpse of wildlife darting among the trees. Historically, Cozy Freedom was occupied by the Timucuan Indians who hunted the forest and swamp land. Efforts to preserve and celebrate Timucuan heritage continue, as descendants and scholars work to honor the contributions of this ancient and resilient people. More recent history of the property included a plant nursery and beekeeping location. Our agritourism destination offers a journey of discovery through the cultivation of produce, blueberries, ginger, turmeric, bamboo, flowers, and more. Our guided tours provide a behind-the-scenes look at the intricate process of growing and harvesting these remarkable crops, from planting the seeds to nurturing the plants through each stage of growth. Resident bats help with the mosquitos. Wind down in the evening by walking and meditating through our 11-circuit walking labyrinth. Feel the inner peace, calm your nerves, be refreshed, celebrate! What else do you need to achieve cozy freedom?! Day trips to St. Augustine, Orlando, Cape Canaveral and Ocala.  Visit local Old Florida sites nearby, including Bulow Plantation Ruins, Tomoka State Park, and Barberville Pioneer Settlement. Take a swim at any of the crystal clear springs within less than an hour or borrow our 2 kayaks and paddle down the Tomoka River. Wintertime is peaceful and ideal for camping in Florida. We do have some nights that drop into the 30's, but most days are perfect to be outside. Summers are hot and wet and mosquitos will drive you inside from mid-June through to the end of August. Enjoy staying put on the farm or safely leaving your belongings while visiting the sights in the area.  Someone is always nearby onsite, but privacy is respected. Property is situated on a thoroughfare between Ocala and Ormond Beach with audible traffic during the day, so not ideal for individuals seeking absolute silence.

Camping in Canaveral National Seashore guide

Overview

About

Soak up some sun the natural way on the largest untouched beach along Florida's east coast. With 24 miles of white-sand beaches, this national seashore is a haven for nature lovers.

Space shuttles may be the best-known attraction of the Canaveral area. But when it comes to unique coastal habitats, this shoreline is unrivaled. Sea turtles, manatees, and other endangered species call this pristine park home. Fortunately, it remains largely undeveloped, save for a boardwalk across the dunes. While there are restrooms (always a plus), keep in mind you have to pack in your own food and drinking water.

Coming from the south entrance near Titusville, you see more than just wildlife bathing au naturel. The place hosts a popular nude beach. Drive a bit further, and you can pull into one of 13 spacious parking lots. The northern entrance is decidedly quieter. Plus, you have easier access to the Castle Windy and Eldora Hammock trails.

The calm waters are a kayaker's paradise. Shallow inlets are the best places to launch your canoe, kayak, or stand-up paddleboard. For some onshore fun, comb the beach for seashells and sea glass. Or, take the short hike to Turtle Mound, a historic Native American shell mound.

Plan your visit between October and April to see huge flocks of migrating birds. If you're traveling in June or July, you can even embark on a turtle nesting tour. Just remember to arm yourself with bug spray—It's not called Mosquito Lagoon for nothing! Rustic campsites are located on boat-accessible lagoon islands, though you need a permit to set up camp.

Whether you're wandering through dense hammocks or capturing photos of rare shorebirds, this national seashore truly has something for everyone.
