Stay by a lovely pond on 33 acre fruit and ornamental tree nursery property with great vibes. Located near I-75 just 20 miles South of Tampa, 35 miles east of Saint Petersburg, 35 miles North of Sarasota, 2 hours West of Orlando. This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. The pond is Spring-fed at the headwaters of Marsh Branch Creek which begins at our property and flows West about five miles in to Tampa Bay. Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites. Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants. Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too. Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand. Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas. The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish). Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property. We think the property is lovely, and definitely want you to enjoy your camping experience!

Our RV and Tent Campsites are located in a grassy field next to dense woods. Electric and water hookups are included in the RV/Camper sites, but not the Tent Site. All sites have a picnic table and fire ring. Our newly renovated restrooms on the property have toilets and one shower. A boardwalk takes you along the Cotee River to our two open air pavilions with several places to sit and enjoy nature. Cell phone service is not a problem, as we are not remote (although it sort of feels like we are when you are here) - we are 5 min from downtown New Port Richey, 2 minutes from groceries, gas, restaurants. This beautiful slice of Old Florida is named for the Pithlachascotee River that bends along the back side of the property. Pithlo is the Creek word meaning canoe, and chaskita means to dig or chop out, together signifying "place where canoes are chopped or dug out". Seminoles of this area used canoes dug out from the great cypress trees found along Florida rivers. From the 1980s until 2014, this property was owned by the Cotee River Lions Club. They held a popular monthly pancake breakfast fundraiser in the large pavilion along the river. We purchased this 4.9 acres of land in late 2019. It is now where we live and have a woodworking shop. It has been a magical place for us, with no shortage of wildlife, rich jungle forest, a winding narrow river, and even the occasion river otter sighting. We are grateful to all the humans who have occupied this place over the centuries before us for keeping it as nature intended it. It is our intention to do our part to conserve and protect its natural beauty as long as possible. We hope you find it to be as restful and rejuvenating as we do.

This is a working micro farm in a relatively quiet residential neighborhood. The only reason I say "relative" is because I have a large rooster, named Kakas, who will wake you up bright and early each morning to go on your adventure! I have rabbits, chickens, ducks and quail on the property. Fresh eggs (quail or chicken) are available during your stay for $3/ dozen. I can offer electricity and water access (no septic). This is a fully fenced lot that provides security and a welcoming space for your stay. The site is located between Tampa (about 1 hour away), Weeki Watchee (the Land of Mermaids is about 30 minutes) and Hudson Beach (maybe 10 minutes). There are several state and county parks in the area for hiking and adventure. If you are into fishing, there are several freshwater springs in the area plus the Gulf of Mexico is available for just about any water sport you can imagine. Feel free to bring you pets along! Well-behaved pets are welcome but must remain on leashes at all times.

It’s a great place for safely biking or walking with green spaces, tennis courts, playgrounds and dog parks nearby. There are many owls, raptors, green parrots, purple martins and osprey overhead as we’re just a few blocks from the beautiful Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. - not to be missed! The Pinellas Trail is just a short bike ride away too and can lead you to downtown. It is a cyclists favorite! We love our city - happy to give recommendations.

Venice and Casperson Beach- the shark tooth capital of the world- is less than a hour drive from us! Come and go as you please! Safe and welcoming neighborhood. Park your vehicle in the driveway just feet from the RV. Wonderful place! Rebecca was very welcoming and kind. The camping site was very clean and close to the water. We saw a lot of birds. We walked around and the area was simply beautiful and peaceful. We will definitely come back!

1 night at Bare RV Resort

So, this was our first time going anywhere that was clothing optional. WE were the awkward party at first and Jessica, at one point during check in, broke the ice so effortlessly and just asked "Okay, do you have any naked questions" which was so direct and simple. Everyone we met was relaxed and laid back and very understanding of us being new to the scene. And it was pretty much just camping, but some people were naked. There was no pressure or weirdness and everyone was very understanding of us being completely new to the idea. I know Caliente is right up the road, and they look like they're fun, just focused on swinging/kink stuff. We're open minded for sure, but wanted something easy and relaxed for our first time and Bare is that. Like I said, it's just camping, but naked.

Sandy Bottom is a sweet little spot. I'm getting into camping solo and it provided what I needed to feel safe doing so. Love the quick access to the water and definitely want to rent a kayak next time. Looking forward to being back.

Peaceful and quiet slice of heaven. What a beautiful property only to be outshined by its owners Laura and JR. What a kind and communicative couple. The bathrooms and shower facility were clean and easily accessible. The property is located a half mile from anything you could possibly need yet gives you the feeling of being far away from it all. Highly recommended!!! Can’t wait to return!!

a wonderful landing after receiving a welcoming text offering any guidance needed. upon arrival gracious Mike and Sylvia meet me and my crew with kind offerings of any spot we'd like. Mike even helped me get things dialed in. a lush hidden rest with quick access to the gulf, I highly recommend this Hipcamp and vow to return in the future.

Weekend Trip to Sandy Bottom River Retreat

This was perfect for our last minute camping weekend. They were accommodating to take our booking and we were off to sleep outside that night! The directions were clear and we liked how the campsites are at the end of property near the water. It was simple and good for what we were looking for. We would stay again. One note, some noise at night due to kids having weekend fun on ATV’s, a generator, and of course some critters (armadillo) haha it wasn’t bad but if you’re sensitive to sound, could be helpful to have earplugs.

Weekend Trip to Bayou Bliss

Enjoyed our stay at our Hipcamp right near the heart of downtown Sarasota! Felt like our own little private oasis with lush tropical greenery and was within walking distance to the cutest funky retro 70's hangout spot, The Mable. Our host Stephanie was so kind and welcoming, as well as her resident doggie! Would love to stay again when visiting Sarasota.

What a great place to get away to or camp. I was looking to get away from Tampa for a couple days to reboot. Very peaceful. Mike, the host, was very friendly and helpful. I camped by the dock, so it was easy to get to the dock to fish. Would definitely come back during cooler weather.

3 nights at Convenience & Comfort On A Budget!

Great stay! Mandy and her family were so welcoming! We had everything we needed and more. Cute neighborhood-we biked and walked at sunset. 10 minute drive from the beach. 5 min from stores and restaurants. The RV was cozy, had comfortable beds, full bathroom and all the kitchen supplies you need. 10/10 would recommend!
