Rasayana Cove is a 25-acre eco-retreat located in the heartland of west central Florida. An hour's drive east of Sarasota surrounded by vast tracts of orange groves and ranch land, Rasayana Cove has been operating as a small retreat center since 1995. The long eastern boundary borders Horse Creek, a major tributary of the Peace River. The property features two spring-fed ponds - one small and the other large.  The cabins are accessible by well constructed shell-topped roads with good drainage and a variety of nature pathways.  A natural ecosystem remains undisturbed in the middle of the property - a Florida bay head of native flora and wildlife. While most of the state is crowded and overdeveloped, this eco-retreat offers a haven of peace in the pristine nature of Florida

We loved staying at Dennis’ Cabin. It’s a retreat in nature. Great views, very peaceful and isolated from the world. No internet so it was great for us. Don’t think of bringing a lot of things to plug because not much electricity. We loved staying at the Cabin!

Primitive Cabin Beautiful Property
Dennis and his wife are very kind and accommodating. They went the extra mile to make sure our stay was very pleasant. Their land is very beautiful and so peaceful. The night sky was spectacular. Our cabin was very rustic and primitive but was everything we needed.

Gorgeous Night Skies
We had a lovely time here - the night sky was dark and the stars and planets were very visible after sunset. We happened to camp during the January Full Moon (Wolf Moon) and the moonlight/moonbeams were quite remarkable as well. We stayed in the smaller and more rustic cabin 'Hermitage" which a charming and comfortable camping arrangement. We had a nice lunch at the "Boat in the Moat" at Solomon's castle down the road and went hiking at a nearby state park. The property itself is very beautiful especially at sunrise/sunset. The host, Dennis, was super nice, very accommodating. Note that this whole area was under water with the Ian this fall, so some things are still closed or being cleaned up as of January 2022. Overall, highly recommended!

Great time at the Tree House!
We had a wonderful time! Dennis was very welcoming. There is a neat castle/boat restaurant within walking distance of the cabin. It is open from 10am-4pm. http://solomonscastle.com/ About 40 minutes away is Myakka State Park. They have lots of activities available there including a boat tour. The day we visited the boat tour was cancelled due to the high winds so we opted for renting bikes instead. https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/myakka-river-state-park

Embraced by oaks
The most Magical little oasis, as a Hipcamp host I personally think this is what more people need in life. Surrounded by nature, not a sight of mans hand in view, except Dennis’s handi work of spaces. The oak trees are incredible, photos or well written descriptions couldn’t serve the land justice, so I’d highly suggest and look forward to returning. My 6yr old daughter wished we could have stayed longer.

Great time at the Cabin
My boyfriend and I enjoyed our time at the cabin. The night time was beautiful, we were able to see so many stars. We cooked on wood and made some bonfires to keep us warm. We also used the propane gas stove inside the cabin that worked perfectly. The little heater inside the cabin worked just fine. It was nice to get away and disconnect from the City. The cabin is secluded and we loved that. Communication with Dennis was great and he was very helpful.

Peaceful getaway
Had an amazing time at the Treehouse cabin on a small girls trip. This would be a great destination for couples, friends, and families as there is much to do around the area and lots of space around the cabins. Dennis is a very friendly and helpful host. He made sure we had everything we needed then gave us plenty of privacy. Can't wait to come back!

Plan Ahead for Primitive Camping
Overall, we really enjoyed being in the middle of nowhere. (We spent last Xmas primitive camping too). It was very quiet and peaceful. We got to scrounge around, gather wood and build our own bonfire. Yet, the Tree Lodge was closer to the other cabin than I anticipated, not truly isolated, and this made the firepit shared with the other cabin's visitors for sitting around or grilling. From the description, I thought that the solar panels might provide a basic level of electricity to run a small coffee pot, or to have some hot water for a shower. It provides minimal lighting only. Bring flashlights. Very thankful for the working propane stove to heat water and cook. Although there's a fridge in pictures, it's not functioning, hasn't in years. Notably, We visited when temps dropped to freezing. The cabin's propane heater did not work (either out of propane or just not in working condition??) The small propane space heater's fuel cannister was also empty. So 2 backups failed and we were very very cold at 30 degrees. We tried to plan ahead and brought blankets and sleeping bags. Just so darn cold! Altho there's a full size bed, the mattress was pretty rough to sleep on. We left a day early, not wanting to spend another night without heat. Overall, it was a fun, exciting experience because of our "challenges". When you stay, plan ahead, just be prepared for it to be more "primitive" style camping.

Cabin in the Woods!
The property is absolutely beautiful and peaceful if you’re looking for a nice, quiet getaway out in nature. Additionally, Dennis is a thoughtful and kind host. My favorite part of the stay was having coffee and conversation with him on his porch after checkout. 10/10 would recommend this stay.

Silent Retreat
Everything was ready for me to settle in and get into the quiet groove that nature offers at the Cove. A great place to get in touch with the healing power of giant oaks and the soothing flow of Horse Creek. If you are especially quiet, you may meet an owl, an otter, or a heron catching his evening meal.

Cabins and zen
Beautiful property and the cabins are so fun and spacious. Dennis checked in with us when we arrived and ensured we had firewood and everything we needed but gave us our space to enjoy ourselves. The property is so zen, peaceful and beautiful to walk around. Be mindful that Dennis sends all the directions to the property before you arrive as cell signal comes and goes which was perfect for us as we wanted to disconnect. Love these cabins! Will definitely go back!!!!!

Wow! What a great place to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors. My family had such fun playing in the creek, taking walks on the property and spending time by the bonfire. We brought a lot of fun outdoor games and had so much room for everything. We will be going back for sure!!

The Hermitage Cabin
We loved staying at Dennis's cabin. His land is so peaceful. We enjoyed exploring the creek and the grounds, setting up our hammocks and relaxing. His location is fairly close to some hiking spots and we found the peace river state forest, horse creek trail to be a nice morning hike. Dennis was a great host. We came prepared as if we were doing our regular tent camping but his cabin was more equipped than what we thought it would be! The bonus for us was that we had zero cell reception so we felt truly connected with each other and nature.
