My family had a great time at John’s camp and we were all sad to be leaving. The place was clean and well stocked. John was friendly and there if you needed him but, we never felt like we were being watched. My husband and I loved being able to take our daughter on the kayaks (which were a great price), my daughter loved the trampoline and plethora of swings, and our dog loved being able to lounge on the deck with the occasional visit from John’s dogs. Overall could not recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a quiet getaway especially if you enjoy being on the water.

Weekend Trip to J and P Creekside Retreat

My dog Marty and I had an awesome stay at Shell Creek—it’s truly a touch of old Florida! The campground sits right on a beautiful freshwater creek, and the peaceful setting made it easy to relax and enjoy nature. We stayed at Creekside Site B, which had a great view and plenty of shade.The hosts were fantastic—welcoming, helpful, and made sure everything was just right. It’s a place that feels genuine, quiet, and full of that classic Florida charm. I’ll definitely be recommending Shell Creek to friends, and Marty and I will be back for sure!

Amazing rustic getaway in old Florida! Property is beautiful! I will stay again. Be sure to check out Solomons castle right down the street. We really relaxed & enjoyed our time. So much wildlife. Horse creek is peaceful to walk along. We loved everything about this place! See you again one day!

I loved the scenic views and the sounds of wildlife. The property is great for walking, scenic photos, and provides a peaceful retreat from everyday life. The treehouse has a wrap around porch with pretty views on all sides. I loved the campfire area with wide benches a cozy two seater rocker. The host, Dennis, was very kind and knowledgeable.

My group of four people and three dogs went tent camping for 4 days over thanksgiving break. We including the dogs had an amazing time! We got to rent canoes and go up and down the river. We found so many shark teeth and after we rented the 4wheelers got to ride all the trails around the camp. April and Kendal were very responsive and kind they helped with anything we needed. The camp farm animals and dogs were a great addition we adored them the outdoor kitchen and very hot showers were amazing too it was an all around great trip!!!

John's property is very nice. We had a great time with our family. The facilities were comfortable though we didn't take showers. We were able to get firewood from John each night for our fire. Our kids had a great time with the short hike to see a camel, Highland cattle and an alpaca that live on a neighbor's farm.

Someday I hope to have a property as well maintained and welcoming as this Hipcamp! Until then, I’m saving this spot for future trips. We rented two spots for our RVs and had an amazing time!!! Very private and well maintained. April who was overseeing the property was very observant and dedicated to her job. Weekend Trip to Privacy in Fort Ogden

This was our first time using Hipcamp and we had an amazing experience here. Our host Kevin, was very accommodating and he has a beautiful property. Feeding the animals was the highlight of the weekend for us! We also checked out fisherman’s village in Punta Gorda and it was only a 25 min drive from camp. Lots to do around this campground if you don’t want to stay at camp all day. We will be coming back!

Kelli’s land truly exceeded my expectations. What stood out the most was how peaceful and spacious everything felt. The little house and the entire property have beautiful details that reflect so much love in every corner. Each outdoor space welcomed me with a deep sense of peace, connection to nature, and the silence I was looking for. Kelli was incredibly kind and attentive, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were comfortable. And the fresh eggs she brought us were absolutely delicious.
