Flitterbug Farm is home to a collection of majestic oak trees covered in spanish moss, ferns, and flowering vines. The oak trees loom high over a glittering pond, which is great for swimming during the summer months when the water is high. Tropical fruit trees, vegetables, herbs, and flowers decorate our gardens while chickens and bees wander the land. Expect fresh eggs and honey, beautiful stars, local wildlife such as owls and chameleons, an outdoor shower, and a "hippie hot tub" powered by a campfire. Sunsets on Flitterbug Farm are truly epic. The land is close to 180 miles of local kayak trails (we rent kayaks!), 10 minutes from beautiful walking trails, and about an hour from the beach. We offer a rustic composting toilet, a heated outdoor shower, and a simple kitchen with a sink and stovetop.Dragonfly Glade is a flat, grassy space next to the pond. Dispersed camping is first-come-first-served, with options to camp in the shade or in the open field. Please note that there may be other campers visible or within earshot—we offer a community vibe for campers who want it. There is also an option to camp on the far north side of the property if you prefer privacy and don't mind walking a few minutes to the amenities.

Great old tree spirits

Dragonfly Glade

Trina was a lovely host. The area around the pond is very Beautiful. I really enjoyed the beautiful trees and their hanging moss. The most the trees were like old souls on that property.! The host was so welcoming. I felt immediately safe and at home. The only difficulty I experienced was there does happen to be a rooster farm next-door and I am sensitive to the sounds of birds and captivity. Outside of that everything was lovely and did a great price. The host was so kind and gave me some amazing fresh eggs from her chickens when I left. I felt very safe being a solo female 🏕️camper on this property and would recommend it to others.
