Wilderness - Privacy - Luxury Swart Estate sits on top 14 acres of private land. You can enjoy life underneath a canopy of great oak trees dating back to the 1800s. This unique destination is one Florida’s natural beautiful getaways!  Learn more about this land: Swart Estate is a private homesteaded property! Now that my children are gone, I am extending my residence for family reunions and church groups on a limited basis due to homestead exemptions as this is my private full time residence.  This property is available on a first come, first serve basis, exclusive to 1 group at a time. I am a retired Army veteran and a custodian of nature, I am willing to share my hard work, the solace of nature and this beautiful natural estate. We have over 3000 beautiful oak trees and tons of accommodations for your stay including: full outdoor kitchen, onsite outdoor covered patio with a bar, shooting range, live free range chicken eggs, and all the privacy desired. Say hi to our goats and hogs on the land, and feel free to use the land to bring toys, boats, etc. We have access to a special sunset tower, as seen in photos, accessible by request. We are just 2 miles from Kissimmee Prairie State Park, we highly recommend you visit. We have local affiliate resources to assist in lining up your outdoor excursions. Please contact owner for more details/rules and accommodations.

Swart Estate Residence
Camping under the tree hammocks
Beautiful large property with plenty of options for camping! Choose sites in the shade under the hammock coverings, in the sun, or park with your RV with 30 amp plugins! Plenty of space to stretch out as you basically have the property to yourself. The shared community area has 2 grills, a fridge, and a screened-in bar. There are several fire pits for use around the property, an archery range, and a shooting range. Get away from the hustle and bustle for a while and relax out in the county!

Peaceful Retreat
We booked the Swart Estates as a recommendation from our hunting guide. Since we were away from the estate most of the time, we did not get to fully enjoy the property. However, for the time we were there, we enjoyed the many animals, covered sitting and eating area, and fire pit-with wood!

The Bunk House
Amazing property
David’s bunk house property was amazing! It was more than we expected and loved exploring the property, feeding the pigs and goats, and David was a great host. We will be back soon for sure!

The Bunk House
Nature Lover’s Retreat is truly a one-of-a-kind nature getaway. We met our host David and his adorable daughter when we arrived and we spent our evening getting a tour of the property and meeting the animals. We were lucky enough to see freshly born piglets and a baby goat just a handful of days old, which we couldn’t stop loving on! David has two dogs on the property, a beautiful Catahoula named Shiba and a small rescue dog, Bella. Both were well behaved and were very friendly towards us. The animals were definitely a highlight for us and Dave was happy to let us spend time with the hilarious goats. We let our adventure cat out to explore the grounds and she was comfortable and in heaven chasing little lizards and hanging out with the sweet male cats on the property. The property is on seven spacious acres and Dave utilizes the space well and there are plenty of areas for campers to sprawl out and relax in. There’s a shooting range for anyone interested, a creative treehouse that climbs up into a giant live oak, a beautiful nature trail for hikers, and many other fun additions like swings, a see-saw, hammocks, and plenty of outdoor cookspaces. David has spent years working hard at creating this awesome paradise, complete with brick walkways, open air kitchen and bar table, and multiple fire pits. We loved our time staying and were blown away by the uniqueness of it all. We definitely hope to be back again some day!

The Bunk House
The Nature Lover’s Retreat has 7 acres of land for you to explore and have some fun. It’s easy to find; the GPS took us right to his place. (It’s located east of Sebring and west of Fort Pierce and isn’t too far from Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park.) Once you make the turn into David, the host’s drive, your eyes will start dancing all over the place, trying to take in all of the things he has placed around: seashells, large animal skulls, signs, mementos and keepsakes … there’s enough to keep you busy for quite some time! If you’re not in the mood for exploring, there are several great spots for hanging out with a book or a journal. David’s got several different places for you to choose from as far as sleeping arrangements: the main, large house, a bunkhouse with four single bunk beds in it, a trailer with a queen sized bed in the back and of course numerous dispersed campsites. He also has on the property a couple of grills, fire pits, picnic tables, a composting toilet and even a unique bar that he built. Oh and for all you pet lovers, David has a beautiful Catahoula, Sheba. She is super friendly and very photogenic. He welcomes pets so if you have one, he or she will have plenty of space to roam around. Unlike some of the surrounding areas we passed driving in, David has a great canopy of trees: oaks and several different varieties of pine that offer a really great bit of cover from the sun, which as you know, can be a great bonus when you’re spending all day outside. We recommend this as a place to stay if you are just passing through or are looking to spend some time away from the coast and inland just a bit.
