The campsites however primitive has some real nice extras, like cafe lights in the trees, near by bath house. A huge plus was bringing an extension cord to access electricity at a nearby cabin outlet. Also a great variety of livestock to watch for entertainment.

We really enjoyed this campground. Took advantage of the fresh eggs! We have a 12 foot travel trailer and it was easy to navigate through the property. We will be back.

We loved every second! The hosts were fantastic. Make sure we were comfortable in our tiny house. We were pleased enough to make sure that they knew that we would be back! We even left them a business card for them to call us. What a great place. Would highly recommend. Much work was put into a communal fire pit, and cooking area. Absolutely wonderful!

Camp Champ is a fantastic place in the woods. Super peaceful, the host was just great, and they leave you alone but are instantly available for any queries. Facilities are rustic and basic but all you need from the flush toilet and hot shower, to cooking equipment and ac. Surprisingly few mosquitoes or any other kind of annoying bugs. The river at Camp Champ was a bit high due to recent rains so we had to go to nearby parks to look for shark teeth. Good value for money. Thank you April!

This property is amazing! We had a great time at a private site with lots of activities available. Kendal was super responsive and helpful with our stay. We will be spending many more weekends at Camp Champ!

We rented the Tiny cabin which has sufficient space for me, my husband and our two dogs. The animal ranch with donkeys, goats, chickens, roosters, cows, miniature horse , etc was a nice surprise. We even got to feed them. Chris, the Camp Master /Owner was very hospitable and friendly. He supplied us with items that we neglected to bring. He even asked us to have breakfast with the other guests.

TRUST ME! If you have kids this is the prefect place to hang out and have all the fun. If you don't have kids and just want to be around beautiful wild Florida in a wonderful setting, this place is also for you. The hosts are awesome and everything is kept in great condition. This was our 3rd visit in as many months.

This place is absolute serenity!! Such a great way to unplug and make memories with your family! There is so much to do to keep busy and the hosts were absolutely wonderful! They showed the kids the animals and allowed them to feed them and we even rented ATV’s and was able to explore the trails! Paddle boarding was a blast and the kids and dog loved playing in the water at the creek! We will be back!! Thanks for sharing your land with us it truly is magical ❤️

This is the absolute best site my kids and I have found within 150 miles of Tampa Bay and I'm sure far beyond!! Kendal is absolutely wonderful. Fast responses to any messages. Very kind, fair and thoughtful.
The Grounds are beautiful, a perfect representation of natural Florida. Clean, well maintained great activities for kids and big kids. Basically a mini farm with adorable animals. The fresh eggs are quite frankly the best you'll ever eat. The creek is a wonderful place to cool off and hunt for fossils, shark teeth and maybe even megladon and mammoth artifacts. My daughter found a 12000 - 13000 year old fossilized Giant Armadillo tooth last weekend!

Had a amazing time at camp champ. Was surprised how much the owners had put into the grounds to truelly make it a amazing place to visit. Will definitely be going back again in the future. The land was amazing and it was great to see kids actually being kids rather than with their eyes glued to screens. Definitely recommend a visit at least once if you want to stay out in the peace and quiet and explore the creek.

IF YOU PLAN ON BEING OUTSIDE YOUR TENT EVER AT ALL, IF YOU PLAN ON GRILLING OUTSIDE AT ALL, IF YOU PLAN ON ENJOYING A CAMP FIRE OUTSIDE, IF YOUR TENT HAS OPEN NETTING (IT WILL NEED A COVER TO COMPLETELY CLOSE IN) THEN THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. THEY RENT FOUR WHEELERS AND ALLOW THE FOUR WHEELING PEOPLE TO TEAR ALL THROUGH THE CAMP. YOU WILL BE STAYING IN A DUST/SAND STORM. YOU WILL NEED GOGGLES AND FACEMASK TO BREATH OUTSIDE. PLUS WE BROUGHT OUR BOAT TO PUT INTO THE WATER AND THEY DIDN'T LET US KNOW IT WAS DRIED UP AND UNUSEABLE. IF YOU PLAN ON STAYING IN TENT 24/7 OR RENTING FOUR WHEELERS YOURSELF, YOU'LL ENJOY IT. IF STAYING IN TENT CONSTANTLY FROM DUST STORM AND LISTENING TO REVVING FOUR WHEELERS ALL DAY AND NIGHT ISN'T YOUR THING, AVOID COMPLETELY. JUST DON'T WANT ANOTHER UNSUSPECTING FAMILY TO HAVE TO ENDURE WHAT WE DID. ABSOLUTELY MISERABLY!!!!!!!

I had an absolutely amazing time at Camp Champ! From the moment I arrived, the hosts made me feel welcome with their kindness and top-notch hospitality. They were extremely helpful throughout my stay even though it was short, going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.
The property itself is beautiful—peaceful, well-maintained, and surrounded by nature. There’s a lot to do, whether you’re looking to relax or get active.
I would definitely come back and highly recommend Camp Champ.

We enjoyed the peaceful weekend. Camp Champ is perfect size. Big enough to not be social but a perfect place to gather by the fire if in the mood. We maintained!

We rented an RV site and brought our 16 foot camper. It was a great site! Picnic table, fire ring, water, electric, and a grey tank hook up!
We stayed Thursday-Sunday. Spent time enjoying the animals, communal space, and land.
We rented a canoe one day to go up the creek to find fossils with some luck!!!
The owner and hosts were extremely responsive and kind.
This will be a regular spot for my family and I!

Found this Gem on Hipcamp, and was one of the best camping trips we’ve been on. I have been taking my kids camping since my son was 4. He’s 11, and daughters are 9 and 5. Started off with my car having some issues right as we came in, and Jerry helped us out, and relieved unwanted stress starting off.
We were the only ones camping at the time due to a storm that was supposed to blow through.(Didn’t touch us). We had full use of the whole campgrounds.
April attended to all of our needs and was very accommodating. Chris and Kendal are the owners, and showed us around their property. They let us pet and feed all of their animals, “Kit Kat” was my favorite little pony. You have to check out “Hamlet”the pig. We canoed, found sharks teeth, fished, played games that they provided, had man hunts in the trails, scavenger hunts, and so much more.
There is an outdoor kitchen, very convenient, ATVs for rent, electric hookups, and Hot Water shower facility. .
This was my wife and youngest first time camping, and they are hooked.
Thank you Chris, Kendal, April, and Jerry! This was a special experience for our family. We will be back.

Perfect getaway. Very low key. We enjoyed Camping here and kayaking. The water level was pretty low so it was a challenge getting the kayak down to the water. We found alot of shark teeth! The property manager April was very nice and helpful. We all loved riding around on the trails and also seeing all the animals on the property.

We found this campground last minute and are so happy we did. The location is beautifully secluded with your own stretch of creek. The ambiance was great as it felt very private with limited camp sites available but still a communal feel. Super kid friendly. Lots of games, outdoor prep space, and well cared for animals. Kendal and April were great hosts. We will definitely be back for more fossil hunting and immaculate vibes.

My kids and I had so much fun at Camp Champ, we will definitely be back! We rented a canoe, paddled up and down the creek looking for fossils and slept under the stars. It was a great little getaway to recharge.

It was ok for us but a few things you should know. Loved the setting on Charlie’s Creek and all the pet animals there to interact with. There were lots of areas for fun activities in a rustic setting. We did purchase a doz fresh eggs which was a bonus. Site 1 could use some tree work to make setting up easier. It has 30amp service, water (not potable) but no dump station. The entry off the main highway is about a mile of dirt rd, narrow and curvy at times, with quite a few potholes. There is 1 bathroom/shower room which might be a bit rough for some. We did enjoy our 2 night stay, however on our second night one of the free range dogs decided he was going to guard the camp by barking for an hour starting around 12:15am right around our campsite.
