Just go a little bit further until you see the sign for Camp Seminole Spring. Bring bug spray and sun screen. If you need something, don't worry! There is a Dollar General, a gas station and a small cafe within walking distance. We have 38 acres of camping sites nature trails for hiking and mountain biking. Guests can park right on their site, or they have the option of parking and hiking into the woods to set up their site a bit more remote and off the beaten path. This is rustic camping. We have a bathhouse located at the campsites with showers. The bathhouse at the Great Lodge hereas we do have garbage cans, we prefer that anything you bring into the property, you bring out with you. We allow campfires. The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit. We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish. Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature. Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Ocala, the ‘horse capital of the world’ showcases a brand new multi-billion-dollar equestrian center which draws people from all over the world. This scenic property has an artesian spring which pushes out 1.6 million gallons of water per day rated among the top three percent of water in the world with an 8.4 natural pH. This water fills the pond and then continues on to flow into Orange Creek. Camp Seminole Springs was established in the 1940’s as a honeymoon resort and campground. The founders built a heart-shaped ‘pond-spring’ which is filled with the crystal-clear water pushed out from the spring where guests can lounge by the beach or gaze down into the bottom through the glass-like water or take a refreshing swim. At the top of the hill overlooking the heart-shaped spring, one will find the rustic Great Lodge where guests can come and mingle with each other, enjoy a relaxing conversation and a drink on the veranda or just sit and watch the activity in and around the spring.

We have a small fishing lake in the back yard (unfenced). There is a national bird rookery preserve a few blocks away so the bird watching is wonderful. There is an alligator farm and a dolphin aquarium on the island., as well as a historic continuous working light house and Maritime Museum. Our pads are just across the Bridge of Lions (2 miles) from the Oldest USA city, St. Augustine, Fl. The historic Fountain of Youth is here along with Castillo de San Marcus National Monument, St. George Street, the historic district plus many other attractions. We have two level paver RV Pads. They both have electric, black and grey water cleanout, fast high speed internet (full hookup). They each have private patios for picnics, socializing, and relaxing. Both pads have high speed internet. Pad 1 accommodates an RV up to up to 28' in length. Pad 2 accommodates an RV up to 34' in length. We accept small Class A Motorhomes (34' and under), Class B, Class C, Small 5th Wheel, Pop-up Campers, Vans and Travel Trailers. Sorry, no tent camping is allowed. There is also a large back deck with picnic area overlooking the small fishing lake in the back yard. We enjoy meeting fellow travelers and sharing our paradise island. We are LGBTQ friendly. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe. The location has easy access to great adventures, history and wonderful memories may be made here. Our guests love staying here: "Camping at Gayle’s property was an amazing experience. We shared the field with 3 other campers but there was still plenty of room between sites. Land is flat and has fire pit spaces and BBQ grills. Outdoor shower was appreciated even though we didn’t use it & it was great to have the port-o-potty on site. The best part was getting to see the animals!"

It is 16 acres we grow gourmet mushrooms on the farm and also have a small vineyard. Our property is surrounded by the Ocala National Forest which is great for riding trails in a jeep, 4x4, dirt bike or hiking the Florida Trail. Salt Springs is also home of the famous Salt Springs recreation area which features one of the most beautiful springs in florida. There are several rivers and lakes close by for fishing and water sports.

This was truly the best place ever, I cannot believe there wasn't more people here. The spring was nice and cold for this time of the year it was perfect. We went this August and there were no campers there because of the heat. But it was perfect and so nice being there alone. The sand boil was also so unique. This camping was truly an experience, and we will be back 100%!! I miss it already!!!

The tiny house was a perfect stay, had everything I needed in terms of supplies, comfy bed, private outdoor shower. My cat and I enjoyed spending our time hanging out on the porch. There was a lot of little touches, like fresh water available. The property includes the hosts home and three other sites. Made weekend friends with another couple who stayed the pop out. Sol and her husband clearly care abou thier home, land, and your stay Would stay again!

So quiet and peaceful. We had to be in Jacksonville for multiple meetings and needed to extend our stay twice. Easy booking, fast feedback and privacy. Host was available but not intrusive, he responded quickly when we needed anything. Area was clean, paddleboat available to float around the pond. Conveniently located close enough to town with that out of town feel. We will stay again if we come back to the area.

Love this place top 3 place to visit. Love outdoor shower after beach no sand in home. Love parks and splash pad in every block. Love sunrise and sunset. Love Daytona Beach 15 mins away great boardwalk and splash pad and playgrounds. So much activities under 15 mins. Quiet street. Yet not secluded but we never home and night was quiet. Tanger outlet is under 15 mins with splash pad. 15 mins to Daytona flea market. So much activities. Also did helicopter ride $25 a person Daytona flea market. Would stay longer definitely love it. Beach is walkable 5 mins away for a quick walk. Heard ocean 🌊 at night left windows open so nice. Love love this area. Very local and quiet. Kid was entertained.

I've stayed at Golden Oaks Farm on Hipcamp several times, and it never disappoints. The owners are incredibly welcoming and make you feel right at home. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and exceptionally well maintained. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind. I always enjoy my stays here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic getaway. One thing to keep in mind: if you have T-Mobile, you likely won't have cell service here. I'm not sure about other carriers, so it's something to check if staying connected is important to you. For me, it was actually a nice opportunity to unplug and enjoy the peaceful surroundings!

It was amazing. Real old florida feels. What i consider true florida. Secluded but close to store for goods. Lots of wildlife the spring was amazing to cool off in. They had canoe and paddle board but my fav was floating in the tubes. The mud boil was amazing aswell once i located it but that was half the adventure ;) the lady who checked us in was real sweet and helpful. Dogs on site were friendly and was fun when moose joined us for a dip one morning. Was exactly what I was looking for. The only thing ill say is it might be a good idea to treat the camping areas for ticks. We used multiply kinds of bug spray. I know it happens but there was an excessive amount and we were having to stay very vigilant to mske sure we were checking each other constantly. That was the only stress all weekend. Would Def recommend l. Will be back!! ❤️

Everything was wonderful. Very peaceful, clean, full of nature, and the host were amazing, very easy to talk to. There was only one other camper there while i was there, they were very nice and we had plenty of privacy. The lake was great, took the rowboat out to explore. You think you're in good shape til you gotta row a boat. Had the fire going at night, I enjoyed every minute there. If it wasn't for work I'd still be out there, but hope to go back soon.
