You be the judge. About 4 years ago we left our South Florida handcrafting furniture business to pursue this new goal. We set out to build an inspiring experience in simple, eco-friendly living that would find a harmony between some of the old fashioned world that we'd found ourselves missing, and the handful of modern advancements that were actually beneficial. All while keeping it classy. At Heirloom Hamlet, you will see us designing unique, functional cabins, installing solar, composting, planting, and building toilets that are better for our environment. We're bread baking, pasta making, timber milling, woodworking, clay-forming and metal pounding. The goal is to evolve into a small world of self-reliance and harmony with nature. Ani and I are big believers in being mindful and respectful of our environment wherever reasonable. So, we are incorporating both alternative and municipal utilities as they can fit into our homestead design and limited budget. Through good design, our goal is to show just how "normal" small living can feel. We all have personal priorities and those will vary greatly, and that's okay. But no person should be so self-absorbed that we have completely shut out the importance of being respectfully mindful to the earth and to our fellowman. After all, if we don't have that, what do we have? To be completely transparent, though, the creatives in us also would like it if we inspired onlookers to possibly look at their own space and life a little bit differently. We've personally found it to be so fulfilling to distinguish real desires and needs from the ones we've been groomed to pursue, and then work to make them a reality. We've found it energizing to witness our fellowmen and women pursuing a dream. We'd like to be a stimulating memory along any person's journey. Visiting with us, we sure hope our guests don't expect to find a corporate approach to life here, and that they can appreciate some of our old-fashioned ways. That, as our paths cross, we won't be held to a business-first standard that we have worked hard to remove ourselves from. We realize everyone has a right to be themselves, but our presentation at Heirloom Hamlet has been purposefully designed to be a refreshing hideaway from the norm.

We have 30 amp and 50 amp for larger campers, as well as your Internet for the site. The Atlantic Ocean is 12 miles away if you want to visit the beautiful Hunting Island. Several saltwater boat landings within 2-5 miles. Historic Beaufort 3 miles, Paris Island 6 miles, swimming, fishing, surfing, shrimping all within 5-10 minutes. Bring your RV and your boat.

Edenhope Farms is nestled on 6 acres and is a sanctuary for rescued and unique animals. We have a Zebu bull, which are the oldest recorded bovine in history, dating back to the Bible. We have goats and peacocks, chickens, a potbellied pig, rescued squirrels, and rescued ducks. Soon to come.... Sheep!!! My property used to be the disposal site for the CocaCola bottling Company. Go on a scavenger hunt and find old bottles. Relax around the fire pit and listen to owls, wild geese, bull frogs and the Quack Pack. While here you can enjoy historical tours of Beaufort County’s earliest years of the Santa Helena colony in the mid 1600’s, the revolutionary war period, the pre-civil war and plantation time period and the antebellum, reconstruction history up to the Civil Rights visits of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the Historic Penn Center. The Lowcountry is great for water sports, kayaking, boating, jet skiing, sailing, hiking and canoeing. Each season offers an opportunity to participate in fishing, crabbing, shrimping or digging for oysters in local waters. Our area is a favorite of cyclist groups, the long, flat, rural, scenic, roads offer pleasant riding experiences for cyclist of all ability levels. There are bike lanes on many of the major roads. Other recreational activities in our area are geocaching, horseback riding, tennis, golf, hiking, beach volleyball, beachcombing, and birdwatching. There are a few special events throughout the year, Gullah Festival-May, Water Festival-July, Shrimp Festival-October, Beaufort Food Truck Festival-October, Soft Shell Crab Festival-April, Pat Conroy Festival-November, Heritage Days Festival-November, Night on the Town-December. Oak Grove Campsite is a beautiful, private campground near Savannah Ga. The campsite is nestled underneath one of our large oaks completed with plenty of room to roam around. Some of the features include a picnic table, large lighted firepit, hammock, wood swing, etc. We also have swings sets and a few other features for the kiddos. Oak Grove Campsite is located approximately 30 min from downtown Savannah and 40 min from Tybee Island. The site has 30/50 amp and clean water hookups. We do not have sever hookups but here is a dump station located 15min from site.

So, we are incorporating both alternative and municipal utilities as they can fit into our homestead design and limited budget. Through good design, our goal is to show just how "normal" small living can feel. We all have personal priorities and those will vary greatly, and that's okay. But no person should be so self-absorbed that we have completely shut out the importance of being respectfully mindful to the earth and to our fellowman. After all, if we don't have that, what do we have? To be completely transparent, though, the creatives in us also would like it if we inspired onlookers to possibly look at their own space and life a little bit differently. We've personally found it to be so fulfilling to distinguish real desires and needs from the ones we've been groomed to pursue, and then work to make them a reality. We've found it energizing to witness our fellowmen and women pursuing a dream. We'd like to be a stimulating memory along any person's journey. Visiting with us, we sure hope our guests don't expect to find a corporate approach to life here, and that they can appreciate some of our old-fashioned ways. That, as our paths cross, we won't be held to a business-first standard that we have worked hard to remove ourselves from. We realize everyone has a right to be themselves, but our presentation at Heirloom Hamlet has been purposefully designed to be a refreshing hideaway from the norm.

Edenhope Farms is nestled on 6 acres and is a sanctuary for rescued and unique animals. We have a Zebu bull, which are the oldest recorded bovine in history, dating back to the Bible. We have goats and peacocks, chickens, a potbellied pig, rescued squirrels, and rescued ducks. Soon to come.... Sheep!!! My property used to be the disposal site for the CocaCola bottling Company. Go on a scavenger hunt and find old bottles. Relax around the fire pit and listen to owls, wild geese, bull frogs and the Quack Pack. Lounge on the spacious deck overlooking all the farm animals or take a dip in the swimming pool. At night grill on the BBQ or have an oyster roast. We do have an indoor toilet for you to use and an outdoor shower. Go for a walk through the woods, do yoga, head to Hunting Island beach which is 10 miles or drive 3 miles to historic downtown Beaufort. We are also close to Parris Island and many other historical sites. While here you can enjoy historical tours of Beaufort County’s earliest years of the Santa Helena colony in the mid 1600’s, the revolutionary war period, the pre-civil war and plantation time period and the antebellum, reconstruction history up to the Civil Rights visits of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the Historic Penn Center. The Lowcountry is great for water sports, kayaking, boating, jet skiing, sailing, hiking and canoeing. Each season offers an opportunity to participate in fishing, crabbing, shrimping or digging for oysters in local waters. Our area is a favorite of cyclist groups, the long, flat, rural, scenic, roads offer pleasant riding experiences for cyclist of all ability levels. There are bike lanes on many of the major roads. Other recreational activities in our area are geocaching, horseback riding, tennis, golf, hiking, beach volleyball, beachcombing, and birdwatching. There are a few special events throughout the year, Gullah Festival-May, Water Festival-July, Shrimp Festival-October, Beaufort Food Truck Festival-October, Soft Shell Crab Festival-April, Pat Conroy Festival-November, Heritage Days Festival-November, Night on the Town-December. Oak Grove Campsite

Oak Grove Campsite is a beautiful, private campground near Savannah Ga. The campsite is nestled underneath one of our large oaks completed with plenty of room to roam around. Some of the features include a picnic table, large lighted firepit, hammock, wood swing, etc. We also have swings sets and a few other features for the kiddos. Oak Grove Campsite is located approximately 30 min from downtown Savannah and 40 min from Tybee Island. The site has 30/50 amp and clean water hookups. We do not have sever hookups but here is a dump station located 15min from site.

This island off South Carolina is famous for its unspoiled beaches and easy resort living. Under an hour from Savannah, Hilton Head Island is also a golfing destination. The island has over 30 courses, including Harbour Town, home of PGA's RBC Heritage tour. Hilton Head has more hotels than campgrounds, but several RV resorts let campers unwind in style. These upscale campgrounds are big on amenities, from swimming pools to saunas and tennis courts. Extras like Wi-Fi, cable TV, and full hook-ups are usually included. Tent campers have to trudge back to the mainland to sleep under the stars. The nearby town of Bluffton has private campgrounds with tent camping areas. Big rigs can find roomy sites at RV parks in Hardeeville. Of course, you can still day trip to Hilton Head. Coligny is the most popular beach, with swimming, bike rentals, and restaurants within walking distance. For fewer crowds, look to beaches on the north shore. Islanders Beach is especially low-key on account of the resident-only parking. But you can totally bike or walk over. Or you can look for alligators at the island's nature preserves, including the Audubon Newhall Preserve. If you're determined to pitch a tent on an island, Skidaway Island is only an hour away in Georgia. The state park has tent camping amid live oaks, along with cabins and some full hook-up sites. Hunting Island in South Carolina is another good alternative to Hilton Head for camping.
