We had a phenomenal time camping on Jonathan’s land! The views were spectacular and it was quiet and spacious. The bathroom was very clean and convenient for our group.. There were many thoughtful touches that made our stay smooth.
The one tip I’d give other campers is to plan for heavy mosquitoes. They are pretty prevalent in the evenings and difficult to keep at bay. It is a swamp though in a more remote area so mosquitoes are to be expected and we went in June. Luckily, during the days there was a lovely breeze off the water that kept us all comfortable.

It was a perfect long weekend get away spot. The private property featured a perfect spot for our rooftop tent set up and campfire with our puppy. The bathhouse was a perfect amenity that elevated our camping. The host, Caption John, was great with communication. Would definitely go back.

We loved our short but sweet stay at Capt. John’s place. He provided us with ample information and pictures to find his place ahead of time because once you’re there you are off grid with cell service. There was a fire pit and an amazing bath house with some hot water even! And some electric to blow up an air mattress or 2.
It was all very nice.
Too bad it rained and we couldn’t enjoy the starry sky because it’s way out there and should be very dark skies with minimal light pollution!

The campsite was perfect. The shower house was clean and the perfect place for a hot shower after a long day on the water. We took a walk over to the saltwater pond and saw the local croc on our first evening at camp. This is the perfect location for the camper who doesn’t want to totally rough it out in the woods. Be warned, Bennett’s Point is minimal, there’s nothing but a few houses, a bait shop and a boat ramp. Don’t expect places to eat or buy many provisions. And bring your bug spray! 10/10 would recommend this locations

Beautiful piece of property in the ACE Basin. The camp site was great and the scenery was even better! I took my two sons to explore and fish and both were awesome!! We were lucky enough to have clear nights so we were able to see a lot of stars while sitting and talking with each other at night
The bath house is a bonus and greatly appreciated! We will definitely be back soon.

This was a beautiful spot and I loved the solitude. The hosts have gone over and above. The boathouse is fantastic, nicer than some 3 star hotels. Not only was the facilities beautiful but there were nice towels, toiletries and bottles of water. And they had set up a campfire ready to light. I'll be back.

Captain John's land is breathtakingly beautiful and was the perfect secluded retreat we needed. The bath house is very nice and well maintained, the camping site was very private and quiet. One of the best hammock views I have had, highly recommend this gem!

We loved this spot! This was our first hipcamp experience and it’s going to be tough to top. The view was perfection, the bath house was super cute, clean and incredibly convenient and it was a quiet escape from our busy lives. Would definitely recommend!

This was a roomy, clean and super quiet marsh-side campsite for our rigs! Though we usually boondock it, it was nice to have an on-site bathroom and shower that was WARM, this was especially helpful since one of us brought their 3 year old daughter. Speaking of warm, there was ample firewood onsite, and even though we brought our own, we found ourselves using a few pieces over time. When we got bored of staring out over the marsh, it was nice to wander from the campsite down the small road and around the saltwater pond.
Captain John was awesome enough to text a picture of the entrance and all necessary instructions which made getting there and. Getting setup super simple.
We will be coming back to stay again in the near future.

My group of three (and pups) loved camping out at Capt. John’s place! It was such a peaceful location with breathtaking views. It’s the perfect location to take in the Carolina sunrise and sunset. The bathhouse was a great amenity to have. Capt. John was a standup host who was quick to respond to any and all questions. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful place to take in coastal nature. We will certainly be back!

This location is unreal and a true gem. Stunning water views and incredible stargazing. Care is put into this site - from the cleared camping space, dedicated fire pit and picnic table, and the well equipped outhouse (towels, toiletries, bug spray, water bottles, organic gummy bears - you name it). This site truly exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to come back.

Had such a great stay here, I don’t think the pictures do it justice! Very private, beautiful views and the best Hipcamp bathroom I have ever experienced by a mile. By 10 miles! I really appreciated and was impressed by the included towels and extra toiletries offered. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to camp in the Beaufort area. We drove up from Jacksonville and it was well worth the trip, thanks for a great stay!

The trip was a great escape from the go go go of normal life. There is plenty of fun to be had without leaving the property. Once the local bait shop closes its 25 minutes one way to the next closest store so be sure to take what you need a soak in the relaxation and enjoy the peaceful views of this beautiful land.

Jonathan’s place was awesome—beautiful marsh views and so many different scenes to take in depending on the direction you’re looking. It is the type of property I’d have zero reservations recommending to others. He was super generous with firewood, which made a big difference for our campfires. The standalone bathroom was way nicer than I expected too.
It was pretty mosquito-y at first (to be expected by the marsh), but once we used bug spray and got the fire and Thermacells going, they weren’t much of an issue. Overall, just a really nice, extremely quiet, scenic spot to relax and enjoy . Would definitely come back. As would our 5, 6, and 7 yr olds.

Very nice spot! Excellent long marsh views. Secluded, well maintained, quiet spot(s) to setup. 2 thumbs up for the bath house. Host even put in a new 30 amp outlet for my camper, located near the bathhouse 100 feet from the table / fire pit. No see'ums are present even in October, so insect repellant highly reccommended. This was a work trip but I'll return for sure when possible for work or leisure! Happy travels-

I can't say enough about the beauty and tranquility of this land... I enjoyed the best midday nap of my life while camping here. The property is private, gets cell reception, and felt safe for camping as a solo female traveler. There were multiple spots to setup at; I situated my van for shade by day and for sunset views by night. Some spots are more protected by tress/brush if you prefer to tuck yourself away more. The bathhouse (w/ hot water & plumbing!) is nicer than anything you'd ever expect at a campsite and thoughtfully includes toiletries, should you forget your own. Having electricity to charge devices was a huge bonus.
The location is a distance from stores, etc., so if you don't care to venture out during your stay, make sure you have everything you need before you arrive. But DO be sure to drive a couple minutes back down the road for breathtaking sunrises over the marsh!
I didn't need to communicate much with John for my stay, but he was responsive and gave clear instructions for what little I did need. I will definitely stay here again if I return to the area.

We had the place to ourselves so it was very quiet with an amazing view of the salt marsh. We’re expecting the bathroom to be so amazing…spotless with shower, hot water, flush toilet, sink…. What a nice surprise! The whole place is well taken care of. Although an hour from the credit one stadium, we will definitely be coming back here for the next concert!

Wow, what an incredible find! This place is a total gem if you’re looking for peace, privacy, and jaw-dropping marsh views. It’s super secluded and quiet—perfect for unplugging and soaking in the beauty of nature. The sunrises and sunsets? Absolutely stunning, like something out of a painting.
The bathroom outhouse blew me away—it’s honestly nicer than facilities I’ve seen in some fancy hotels! If you opt for the bathhouse add-on, it’s straight-up rustic glamping done right. The host was awesome, super friendly, quick to respond, and made everything so easy.
It’s a bit of a drive to Beaufort or other spots, but trust me, the tranquility and privacy make it 100% worth it. The area feels safe, clean, and well-maintained, with quiet neighbors a few acres away. The road to Bennetts Point was smooth and recently fixed up, so getting there was no hassle at all.
I’m already looking forward to my next stay—this place is special, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone craving a peaceful escape!
