My family stayed two nights at the magnolia site. The site was clean and tent safe, we didn't need a tarp to protect the bottom from small brush or rocks. There was a nice camping toilet that was clean and right on site. Only interacted with host to buy eggs for breakfast but that was our choice, the host was friendly and I'm sure wouldn't mind more interaction if a camper needed it. Love the fact that they are a small farm providing non commercial goods to their community. We felt safe and secure in this site. Remember that this is a working farm and there will be farm noises. Thank you for hosting us.

Belinda at Friendly Fowl Farm was great. The site (#1) was quiet and mostly private. Very close to the Ocean/Hunting Island.

Saw Palmetto Hideaway
The campsite was clean and well taken care of. The fire pit and picnic table were a lovely touch. All was well until it got dark. My children and I set up camp, only to pack up and leave in the middle of the night our first night & did not stay for 2nd booked night. The mobile homes back yard lights were shining through the trees and we could hear multiple people talking for a long time. They were yelling at one another, playing loud music and dogs were barking for hours. I was hopeful that the commotion would die down soon and it would be peaceful again but that didn't happen. When we left I noticed multiple men in one of the yards, at least 10. Being a single woman camper, I did not feel comfortable staying through the night with my children with all of that going on half a football field away. Based on the description I expected the campsite to be more secluded than it was. I was made aware about the mobile home park prior to booking, but assumed the campsite was further down the road. This was my first time using HipCamp to camp- we typically use state parks. It simply wasn't what we expected, however, I do think the concept is nice. I did not get a chance to personally meet the host but the instructions and booking experience were thoughtful.

We enjoyed our stay at Belinda's farm! The owners were very pleasant and the animals were enjoyable to watch. The site was large, away from the home, and a perfect getaway. We rode bikes about 30+ minutes to the beach (along the highway and across the bridge) to the state park and had a wonderful beach day! There are several local restaurants and activities for things to do. Overall, easy site, flat, large, all amenities as stated. Thank you for Belinda and Tony for the opportunity to get away! We enjoyed meeting you and your animals!

We had a wonderful stay at Belinda and Tony’s campsite! The site itself was private, clean, and felt very safe, and had a convenient bathroom tent. Plenty of space, picnic table, and a fire pit. Before we departed we got the farm tour and fresh breakfast. The hosts were very welcoming, and it was cool to hear all history of the land. My favorite part was all the animals - so many farm birds, and a very friendly cat, Mimi. We’d definitely stay again if we’re ever in the area. Thank you!!

Directions were easy to follow and campsite was easy to find. Belinda's husband, Tony, stopped by as we were getting settled in to make sure we were all set. The mosquitoes left us alone after we got a fire started. We could here a rooster nearby in the morning, but otherwise very quiet and peaceful! We would definitely stay again and check out the area.

My husband and I enjoyed tent camping on Tony and Belinda's land. The experience was memorable. Driving directions were clear and easy to follow. Tony and Belinda were great hosts. We would strongly recommend the camping site to others.

We only stayed a short while on Belinda’s property, but from what we saw, the place was perfect for our needs! Instructions to get there were very easy and simple to follow, and Belinda’s husband even showed us how to use the toilet at our campsite. The night was super peaceful and quiet with the occasional honk or quack from nearby fowl, which I personally loved! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others!

I greatly appreciate the welcoming and gracious Belinda and Tony. I learned a lot about the wonderful Gullah peoples while I was there. My campsite was a beautiful pocket tucked between mossy live oaks, magnolia and pines. St. Helena is a wonderful piece of unique American culture and topography. Highly recommend!

Nice folks. Road is kinda bad. Way back in the woods in a questionable neighborhood. No problems though. Quiet. Entry is a bit of a rise which could be hard for big rigs.

Great site, second time coming and it’s close to Hunting Island. Fit a large tent and 3 trucks with plenty room to hang around the fire.

Great place to stay! The animals really were friendly, the ducks and chickens came right up to our trailer! We had a little trouble following the directions given to find our campsite in the dark, but the host came out and helped us.

We absolutely loved camping at Belinda's place. It's secluded enough but convenient at the same time. My kids enjoyed seeing all the friendly ducks, chickens, goats and turkeys! We made a fire on the second night and that helped keeping away the biting flies. Next time we visit we will make sure to pack the citronella candle. Thank you Tony and Belinda for your hospitality!

Extremely easy to find, easy to use, and easy to enjoy campsite. Great location just minutes from the beach one way and Beaufort the other. Privacy was nice, but you were still right down the road from restaurants and coffee, etc... .
It was just what we were looking for. We will be headed back.

We had a great stay! Even though we had some storms and rain, we had a lot of fun. We had plenty of space and communication from the hosts was awesome. The fire ban lifted just in time so we could have a little campfire on our last day. Added bonus: the kiddos enjoyed hearing the owls and the animal sounds.

Highly recommend this private quiet site at the edge of the farm and many interesting activities offered as I requested info on history and Gullah people here. Enjoyed Belinda and Tony, and their warm welcome. Also loved Belinda's rosemary olive bread! I had shrimp gumbo nearby and saw the beautiful Gullah museum. 5 miles away is Hunting Island State Park with miles of sand beaches, lovely ocean breeze, and 10 miles of trails for hiking and biking. It's hard to pack up my little trailer and to leave. Will return!
