I wonder if when standing on the sprawling in upstate South Carolina, just a short hour trip from Greenville, Ed and Kitty Land heard a small still voice say, “if you build it, they will come.” While there isn't a baseball field on the property, that's about all that is lacking. Chattooga Belle Farm began as an event building set on acres with a small seasonal retail store. Soon people found their way to the soon-to-be full-fledged farm and they felt it; that feeling that you've found a very special place. Peaceful, majestic and unlike any other, Chattooga Belle Farm is quite possibly the perfect place for any event and most certainly an ideal place to pledge your heart and life to another.
Since the Lands opened their doors in 2010 they have come. There have been families, couples, groups, the media and fruit pickers who have all visited the farm; and they return year after year. Having been written up countless times across the southeast, US and more recently featured on The Today Show, the farm just keeps growing and getting better. With a history of growing sweet juicy apples, the soil in this part of the world has proven to be excellent for peaches, muscadines, scuppernongs, and blueberries. The farm also grows exotic fruits like persimmons, paw paws, Asian pears, figs, and more!
The landscape is picturesque and the mountain views are truly breathtaking in every direction. The farm hosts farm to table dinners that sell out year after year. Their U-Pick fruit opportunities evolve throughout the season with something always coming in from early summer through fall. A list of available fruit is updated often on their website, upcoming events and information about cabin rentals on Horseshoe Lake.
The recent addition of a distillery on the farm means the fruit is grown, fermented, distilled and bottled on the farm. The distillery is open year round Monday – Saturday. ged in oak barrels and aged to produce some of the finest liquors made in these mountains.
The farm store is complete with fresh produce (in season), canned jams, jellies and bottled ciders. Grass-fed, natural, antibiotic-free Black Angus beef is sold in the store. The cattle are raised on pasture which produces some of the healthiest beef you can buy. Using only natural, humane and environmentally sustainable practices, the Lands and their staff raise beef as nature intended. Bringing the best to your family has never been easier.
Belle's Bistro at Chattooga Belle Farm serves salads, sandwiches, burgers and soups made with the freshest ingredients possible. The bistro is open for lunch Tuesday – Sunday from April – October. Their menu includes Certified South Carolina Grown food which makes for an outstanding menu, also which can be viewed on chattoogabellefarm.com.
When it comes to weddings, Chattooga Belle Farm has it all! Fishing and Tent Camping on a beautiful privately owned naturally spring feed 2.5 Acre pond. Pond fully stocked with Catfish, Yellow Carp, Buffalo Carp, Bass, and Brim. We do allow eating size catfish under 5lbs to be taken from lake. Large catfish and all other types of fish are catch and release only. No fishing license required. Typically caught fish weigh in at 20lbs plus. Some catfish as large as 80lbs. Enjoy peacefully fishing all night with your friends and family on a lighted fully stocked pond. Each campsite has its own fire pit so you are welcome to bring firewood and enjoy cooking out or having smores by the fire.

The farm was once a portion of the McTureus Plantation. Tony's family members were once enslaved on the plantation. Upon Emancipation a family member bought land and it remained in the family. Tony is a descendant of those family members whose foresight allowed us to be here today. Tony's parents entrusted the care and preservation of the property to us and we are doing our best to be good stewards and teach the value of this property to our children and young grandchildren.

Fishing and Tent Camping on a beautiful privately owned naturally spring feed 2.5 Acre pond. Pond fully stocked with Catfish, Yellow Carp, Buffalo Carp, Bass, and Brim. We do allow eating size catfish under 5lbs to be taken from lake. Large catfish and all other types of fish are catch and release only. No fishing license required. Typically caught fish weigh in at 20lbs plus. Some catfish as large as 80lbs. Enjoy peacefully fishing all night with your friends and family on a lighted fully stocked pond. Each campsite has its own fire pit so you are welcome to bring firewood and enjoy cooking out or having smores by the fire.

Note: Due to sites being located directly on pond, some areas are 15ft deep and not recommend suitable for small children.
Site Descriptions : please note the string lights are bright LEDs and have to stay on through out the night to ensure every one’s safety and enjoyment.
Camp sites are a brief walk approximately less than 800 ft to campsite from main parking lot. We do offer a pull behind wagon to help transport your camping and fishing supply’s. 😊

I was the first person to purchase property here in 1995 in what is known as Moultrie Plantation. This is a private property community with its own private dirt road. The plantation is rich in Civil War history and people still find arrowhead 's, Civil war buttons and other Civil War related items on the dirt roads where the soldiers marched through the plantation. It is a quiet, peaceful neighborhood where owners enjoy the country life.

Our land forms a peninsula, which is very private, secluded, and SAFE.

*Prices Bridge being a low bridge also means if you bring a large boat you may need to use the marina or any of the free boat launches within a mile of our site... kayaks, canoes, john boats all fit under. :-)

What a fabulous campground! Lots of room between sites, a peaceful natural setting, and the hosts were so kind and welcoming. The darling bathroom and shower houses are rustic, while also clean and functional. We had everything we needed plus some. We can't wait to come back and visit again.

Nice little spot tucked away on the back side of town. Perfect getaway for a day or two. Right on the river so bring your fishing pole. I went during spring break so that evening was a little noisy but not too bad. Enjoyed staying here.

Large site with lots of elbow room! Stargazing for days! We really enjoyed our two night stay with convenient "outhouse" close by. Next time we plan to make use of the boat ramp and kayak rentals. The staff was so helpful, friendly and responsive.

Dennis and Melissa were great hosts. They made sure we were welcomed and went above and beyond to give extra information about the area and history of the farm property. It was SUPER QUIET- which we were really looking for. Star views through the longleaf pines with whip-poor-wills calling in the distance was idyllic. The bathroom and shower (did not get a chance to use) were bonus amenities to our usual primitive camping. A great getaway! Thank you for offering these sites on hipcamp!

The farm is so beautiful, and the bistro was amazing. Would definitely recommend especially during the u-pick season I bet it would be amazing go to picking apples/peaches/ECT. Then come back to camp to eat relax and watch the stars here!!!

We stayed 3 nights with our 2 dogs and 2 cats. No problems at all. There are a few spots by the river but stayed in an open field for more space because of our animals. The toilets are kept clean and there is a dumpster for trash. I recommend this place and would visit again. Thank you to Scott and his family for accommodating us!

Pretty site right on the Waccamaw River, quiet and peaceful at night, mostly quiet daytime, some early morning and late afternoon traffic noise from a nearby main road (and some interesting early morning farm animal sounds) but nothing disturbing. Nice, level areas for pitching a tent. If you have a dog, you must keep it at the back of the property where you pitch camp so as not to disturb the farm animals, and there are woods you can walk in, my little dog loved exploring!

Absolutely gorgeous and laid back with plenty of room to explore!! Perfect for having kids that like to be outside and our dog is in heaven.
The swimming is wonderful, and the birds are so beautiful and chatty. Right now the butterflies and hummingbirds are coming through and showing off with other migrating birds and the bees are very busy in the wild red clover and honeysuckle and going to the on site beekeeper station! The views no matter what direction are breathtaking. If you are a lover of camping like we are, welcome to your new favorite sanctuary!

Perfect spot with great views and a super relaxing vibe. Clean site and beautiful nature; I had my own bathroom, so I can’t speak to the shared one. Our lakeside field site (left of the dock) was roomy, but some sites might feel tight if you don’t choose carefully. Having a winery, distillery, and food all within a short on‑property “hike” is a fantastic bonus
