1 night at Too Many Oaks Plantation

The cabin really makes this site feel like glamping and it’s awesome. Being able to cook and shower then go sit around the camp fire is worth it.

We had such a fun time here! Michael was so friendly and welcoming and the area was beautiful. The outside of the cabin was a little creepy but the inside made up for it. You can tell how much love goes into this place. Campsites are well spaced and have plenty of room. Bring strong bug spray, the ants bite!!

Weekend Trip to Blythewood Acres

This is the second time we have camped at this spot and we loved it just as much as the first if not more! The weather held up great and even though it was insanely hot, we still got to spend a good amount of time outside due to the shade! This campsite was gorgeous and well maintained! 10/10 will camp again

Weekend Trip to Sweetwater Lake Campground

We had the most magical time at Sweetwater Lake! Olivia was an incredible host; thoughtful, responsive, and truly went above and beyond. The site was stocked with everything you could possibly need for a cozy, comfortable stay. Just bring your own food and you’re set! You can feel the love and intention that’s been poured into this place. It’s peaceful, private, and the perfect spot to unplug, recharge, and reconnect. Highly recommend for a serene getaway.

Michael's land provided a great first hipcamp experience for us. Directions were straight forward and easy to follow and Michael was very friendly when visiting to introduce himself and check on us.

This was my first experience with Hipcamp and it was so enjoyable! I would definitely come back to Piper’s Pond again. Both sites are lovely with views of the pond and wildflower patches. The other site was vacant during my one night stay, so I had complete privacy even though I was at the site down by the water. Your vehicle / camp equipment will block some visibility of this site if there were other guests. Having water, electric, and composting toilet available eased me nicely back into tent camping. As others mentioned the two dogs on the property are as sweet as can be and the hosts do a great job of checking in to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need without imposing. Excellent experience!

1 night at Camping on Pipers Pond

We only stayed one night and were only there to sleep. However, would definitely stay again! Hosts were very responsive and kind, property was very clean, and doggo was very cute. The property is gorgeous and it was pretty staying right on the pond. Highly recommend!

We loved this site! It was beautiful, quiet, peaceful and extremely clean. The host was beyond exceptional with making sure the site was tended to and we loved how easygoing he was. We stayed in the newer section of sites that he had and they were so great! Easy to pull into, great grassy area towards the back of the campground for us to be able to walk our dog! 10/10 will camp again and recommend to all our camping friends and family!

Awesome man made pond that was stock full of fish - we caught one every ten minutes both from their old row boat and from the shore. Great hose for water. Very friendly helpful host and lots of privacy and frog cacophony at night. Also good fire pit.

1 night at Too Many Oaks Plantation

This is a great camp spot for small RV or tent. Very private wooded area. Michael was very accommodating and offered us split firewood for an enjoyable camp fire. Plenty of firewood available but bring an axe to split it. There are several sites to camp on so it would be great a family with kids or small groups. All the sites were very clean and no trash laying around. Michael does a good job keeping the area clean. Would be a great place for kids to enjoy. Wish we could have stayed for a second night.

Liked it so much we booked it a second night. (Totally out of character for me.) I would vote this as a unique site. It is definitely on my short list of places I would stay again. We ended up not staying the night due to storms- so I will point you to my 1st review. 5 stars.

Jesse was welcoming, the nights were quiet and filled with deer. The site was well maintained, considering the tall grass surrounding the site there were no ticks, the lake was visible and just a short walk through the woods. Good combo of openness and sunshine with woods and shade.

Beautiful land with the most charming cabin ever for a very convenient restroom/kitchen area. Firewood was readily available which we really appreciated. Even the rain didn’t stop us from having a good time. We loved our stay and would love to camp again! The dogs enjoyed it as well.

This is the best time I have had camping in a long time. Very clean. Very quiet despite a nearby road. Incredible live oaks. So many great birding opportunities. Very private and felt breezy and cool despite the heat of a near 90 degree day. It was nice to be able to retreat to the homestead on the property for water and clean potty. Best of Hipcamp in the Midlands of SC.

1 night at Too Many Oaks Plantation

A fun adventure! While we were tent camping, we appreciated access to the cabin, even if it was spooky. (Probably not ghosts! Just birds living above the porch.) Michael was friendly and informative in his messages. The sites were well lit and good sized. The chairs and tables, decor, and proximity to the bathroom/kitchen in the cabin were superior to a standard campground in our opinion. We would come back in the future!

Weekend Trip to Woodland Gardens

Small camper perfect for a couple nights near Congaree NP. Friendly dog and cat on property, and our host was very kind and inviting! Unique & artsy atmosphere, very peaceful & secluded. Shower was pretty tiny, good for necessary cleaning but nothing past that. Would definitely stay again!

Very pretty spot to camp for the night. Lots of pretty stars. Road traffic is louder than expected, but still nice. I couldn’t find the little graveyard, but I’m sure it was right under my nose somewhere.

Very quiet, private and peaceful. 10 min to small town Walmart and local bars and restaurants. Lake Murray is approx 20 min away and provides access to boat ramps, boat rentals, marinas and such. There is local vegetable stands in the surrounding area and many offer fresh eggs. Lexington SC borders Columbia with the Saluda river running between the two cities. Saluda river offers trout fishing, river walks and river adventures with local outfitters. Columbia SC offers many attractions including University of SC Gamecock games, Riverbanks Zoo and Colonial Life Arena. Owner lives on property. Dog friendly for those who clean up after their pet.

We hunted, fished, made mud pies and played outside for hours, as long as we were in shouting distance for supper time! I am so fortunate to be the daughter of two amazing parents, who had a dream to build a working farm from nothing more than a logging trail in the woods. They built a 3 story, 10,000 square foot house by themselves- while raising a family! We have 200 acres of farmland that features rolling hills, multiple ponds, creeks, farm animals, show horses and countless wildlife viewing opportunities. Wild turkey and deer roam free all over the farm, coveys of dove fly out from the pastures and trails, and coyotes howl in the night. Listen to the frogs croaking, crickets chirping and whipporwhills calling every evening under a magical blanket of stars. Take a nature hike through the trails that meander through the woods around the park. Our newest venture is to offer primitive camping and some cabin rentals around our 60 acre Agripark! For those wanting to step it up a notch, we have erected a large concrete floor, covered event barn (for parties, family reunions, weddings, cowboy church, etc..,) and also a huge petting zoo barn with an area behind it for pony rides and 4-h/FFA functions. Also, a greenhouse is being erected next, that will teach people about aquaponics and hydroponics! Many things are on the immediate horizon for this special property. While we are under heavy construction at the moment in some areas of the park, many amenities are currently available. Why not unplug from the daily grind and spend time with those that matter most? My goal is to make this land as magical for your family as it has been for mine!
