Our farm is vast and sparse,
focusing on sustainability while giving back to the community. We are a safe haven for animals and humans alike.
Situated on and between two peaks of Little Phoenix Mountain range in Jefferson Ashe County. Our sites’ altitudes range from 3100 feet to over 3600 feet, which is a lot of slope and hillside to say the least. As a guest you will be offered insane long views and wildflowers galore. Located in the Blue Ridge mountains, we have natural water springs popping out, some of which are tapped to drink from. (10.1.25 currently farm springs are not accessible to guests, shatley springs up the road approx 4miles north has a public spring that we highly recommend)
If you are looking for a camping spot that is only 5-10 minutes from town (Jefferson NC or the quaint Downtown West Jefferson) but feels like you're in the middle of no where, then we have it!
The Blue Ridge Parkway is less than 20 minutes away and the New River equally close.

The climb up sunrise mountain is bumpy, be warned, and do adhere to the conversation and guidance of the host on the call or in person meeting preclimb. Even though the section titled “the climb” is passed each and every visit by capable awdr and 4wdr vehicles, this does not mean everyone is capable of picking a thought out path. Thankfully everyone of our guest have been wonderful in the over 8 years with zero damage to their vehicles. MSG for more info.

*We do not allow any harvesting of campfire wood or burning of our property outside of the designated fire ring. We use any downed wood on our property for our family to keep warm and to cut and split ourselves to sell to our guest. A “full nights worth” of campfire wood is roughly a 3 x 2 stacked pile of wood keeping you warm all night. Please let us know ahead so we can prepare it for you

PLEASE DO NOT ‘photo book’!
We ask guests to please read through the details BEFORE booking a site. For example: not all tent sites are park at sites. Some of our more secluded sites in the woods are far from bathrooms etc. Sites near the winery/bathrooms are not secluded and you can see/hear ‘people’.
As of Jan 2025 we change to an age 13+ campground. No one under the age of thirteen years old is permitted to camp overnight. Younger children will still be permitted to visit the winery next door to the campground during open hours but must have an adult (18 years plus) with them at ALL times! Due to an incident that could have ended in tragedy we have a zero tolerance policy of unsupervised children. You will be asked to leave if your young child is unattended by an adult.
During the summer months we often have free range chicken eggs and organic produce and herbs available for our campers. We are next to our own winery/cidery that features home brew wines and beer. We also offer sodas. Firewood is for sale. You may bring your own firewood as long as it’s not from out of state.
We have a few primitive sites in our woods for those who love more seclusion and places to hang hammocks.
We offer Hiking/jogging trails at the campground with more trails on the nearby blue ridge parkway. We are just a 5 minute drive to downtown Little Switzerland. We are also only a 5 minutes drive to the famous Diamondback scenic mountain road. Approximately 20 minutes drive to Crabtree Falls on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Our cantina next door at 539 blue ridge gem mine road is open for the season and serving home brew beers and small batch ciders for ages 21 and older. Photo ID required. Sodas available for purchase as well. We now have a well lit covered porch area and club house with free WiFi and available 24 hours to our campers.
Note: absolutely no outside alcohol or underage alcohol consumption permitted on premises. Anyone not in compliance with North Carolina state laws and federal laws will be evicted from campgrounds without refunds. If the campgrounds happen to be under a burn ban please understand that we can’t and will not break the law for you! All campers must obey the burn ban if in effect or face possible penalties under state law! This is for your own safety as well. Anything sold by us may be legally consumed at your campsite and is covered under our winery ABC permit.
Camp host can’t go to bed until all campers are checked in so no late night arrivals please! Thank you for your understanding.
Adult horseback trail rides are available at nearby Springmaid Mountain Retreat. Maps provided to Springmaid Mountain. All minors must have ADULT supervision at all times at the winery next door (older siblings do not qualify as adult supervision). If we are babysitting your children to keep them out of danger or from damaging our property you’ll be asked to leave. We want everyone to be safe.
Up to 2 dogs are allowed per campsite. Dogs Must remain on leash at all times and have proof of up to date rabies vaccination. We have chickens and horses on our mini farm so please keep dogs under control at all times. Also, please do not feed our chickens, horses or any of the wildlife on our property.
It is the responsibility of our campers to check the weather conditions, noting any burn bans for the area or rain etc, looking at all the rules and property details, before booking is the campers responsibility. Please do not blame the host! HipCamp now offers rainy day insurance
Watch for our special events like ghost story campfire tales/walk with local guest authors, mountain yoga, herbal remedies classes, trail treasure hunts with prizes, mushroom identification classes etc.
Additional parking is available for added cars in the guest parking lot area if campers have no more room at their campsite for visitors or any extra cars.
We have a hot/cold shower and modern style flush toilets available in large cargo container. We also now have free Starlink WiFi in the Cantina/clubhouse area and some of the closer tent sites. Our clubhouse stays open for campers 24/7 with a microwave available, games, television and comfortable seating areas.
Note: The quarter mile of gravel drive is steep but I drive my two wheel drive car up and down it every day. However, if you have a vehicle that chugs and struggles up hills (older RV etc) you may find it a challenge. We are working on getting that section paved to help out the older RVs and buses.

All campers are expected to read and follow the HipCamp guidelines. This is not just a ‘business’, it is also a family home that we are graciously sharing with you for a small fee so we expect campers to respectful of our land, our neighbors and your fellow campers. Anyone who can’t show integrity, maturity and be responsible and respectful of this will be asked to leave and/or permanently banned from both the winery and our campgrounds. No fighting! This includes couples fighting. Settle it 'off property'. We are pretty mellow, yet take bad behavior and disrespect for others very seriously. Unsupervised children has been a huge problem lately and we simply won’t tolerate very young children wandering the woods, running across other folks campsites, deliberately damaging our property etc. It is up to the parents to fully supervise their children and keep them safe!
Caught without a last minute hotel room and rather not park your family in Walmart lot? We offer car camping in our parking lot for $15.00 a night. You’ll have access to bathrooms and a hot shower! We also have tents, sleeping bags and camping mats for rent.
Summer of 2025 will be our third year open and there have been many wonderful improvements! ❤️ We made it through Hurricane Helene with minimal damage and with the help of some kind volunteers we have some great updates!

Learn more about this land:You’ll cross the covered bridge (clearance 11’6” ) as you enter our farm, a 73 acre small family farm, nestled in the Buffalo Valley of Northeast TN, and featuring a down home country atmosphere. What makes our farm special are all of the unique extras: a working log cabin blacksmith shop, log cabin art gallery, certified commercial kitchen, lots of watchable wildlife, and walking trails. Tri Mountain View Campground is located in the Northeast corner of Tennessee in the town of Shady Valley. With an elevation of 2,800 feet, Shady Valley is the second highest town in Tennessee. It is just 26 miles from the Bristol Raceway and the Bristol Caverns. It is just a 15 minute drive to Backbone rock and a short drive to the Appalachian Trail. The property was a Dairy Farm and went out of business in the late 90’s and since then there has been over 3,000 trees planted. Some of these trees include the rare Butternut and Hazelnut, but mostly White Pine, Walnut and Oaks. The property has approximately 1,000 feet of fishing on Beaver dam creek, so we recommend bringing waders. There is also a shower house, washer and dryer.

The campsites are spaced out around the property for privacy. There are port-a-potties. There may occasionally be a real bathroom available.
4WD or AWD is recommended for all sites due to 1/2 mile gravel road and then completely off road for a short distance. Or, if you are bringing 2WD, there is plenty of parking and then walk to your campsite. We don't recommend trying to bring large RV's due to the access.
We have not had a problem with Black Bears on the property. Help us keep it that way. Do not store or keep food in your tent. Don't sleep with food. Keep in mind bears are omnivores much like us. They eat mostly plants but also eat meat. For more info on bear safety, visit www.bearwise.org
Winter camping is encouraged with free firewood. However, you will probably need to park on the gravel and walk to your campsite to limit soil erosion of the off-road trail.
Pets are welcome only at some sites, but please please let us know you are bringing them and they will need to be leashed due to other animals.
A large part of the property is forest with hiking trails, creeks, and wildlife. You can see wildflowers and lightning bugs in season along with deer, turkey, and horses.
And all of our spots have a great view of the sky! We're not far from the Bare Dark Sky Observatory.
The grass horse arena and the pond were originally built for the summer camp. The pond is stocked with bass and bluegill and has a chorus of bullfrogs in summer. The arena is flat and has a long range mountain view all the way to Mt. Mitchell (highest peak east of the Mississippi). There are also a meadow spot encircled by trees.

As the name suggests, our campsite is on the edge of the New River, overlooking its clear waters where visitors are likely to catch glimpses of the abundance of wildlife including deer, turkey, beaver, fox, and many species of songbirds. Our site was once part of a much larger farm growing tobacco and raising
cattle and other farm animals.
The existing tobacco barn was built in the early 1960's.
The concrete pad used for RV camping was used to store silage for the cows.
The non-potable water source is a mountain spring that has been used on the farm since the 1930's.
While many tobacco barns in the area have been
torn down for their rusted tin roofing and rustic siding, we have worked to
restore the barn and preserve its history.

Our campsites provide a variety of camping options, from predefined sites to walk-in spots throughout our expansive 200-acre mountain. You can choose to camp by the creek, in a sunny field, or deep in the woods. In 2024, we introduced our private Shower House, featuring three fully equipped bathrooms with showers, sinks, and toilets, plus heating and air conditioning. We also offer pre-furnished bell tents, camping platforms, and at site water and electricity (select sites) for your convenience.
If you want to immerse yourself in outdoor camping without sacrificing the comforts of home, our glamping tent features a queen-size bed with linens, as well as a twin bed that converts into a second bed for added convenience. Stay cozy with a heated indoor wood stove, and enjoy a kitchen table, dresser, and chair for your convenience.
You'll also have access to a private bathroom complete with a fully functioning toilet, indoor/outdoor hot shower, and sink. Outside, a private covered kitchen awaits, equipped with a kitchen sink, cooler, pots and pans and cooking utensils. Relax in your lounge chairs on the porch and take in the views, and indulge in outdoor cooking with a gas grill, picnic table, and outdoor fire pit area.
During your stay at our farm, guests can unwind amidst natural surroundings, visit with our animals, enjoy on farm activities and explore the wide variety of local attractions that the surrounding area has to offer.
Just 30 minutes west, you’ll find the Blue Ridge Parkway. Kerr Scott Lake is only 10 minutes away, where you can swim, rent kayaks and pontoon boats, fish, or enjoy mountain biking and hiking on extensive trails. Prayer Mountain is about 2 miles up the road.
To the east, explore several wineries and a local moonshine distillery. A half-hour away, visit the Amish community with shops like Shiloh Bakery and General Store (closed Sundays and Mondays).
For fantastic hiking, head northeast to Stone Mountain, about 45 minutes away, which also features a renovated homestead. To the south, Rocky Face Park offers hiking and rock climbing, while Emerald Hollow Mine allows you to search for and keep precious stones.

Eden Oaks Vineyard & Campground was a tobacco farm (antique tobacco barn still on property). The house was built in 1910 and has been updated. We purchased it in 2014 and converted it into a vineyard.
We have RV sites with 50 amp and 30 amp electric hookups and water, and tents sites. For 2023 our rates are $30/night for RV Sites (50 amp or 30 amp electric hookups and water) and $25/night for Tent Sites. Tent sites do not have electricity or water hookups, but water is available at the well. (Due to inflation, 2024 our rates will be $30/night for RV Sites, $25/night for Tent Sites.) We do not have a dump station, but we do have a Port A John
and a list of dump stations nearby.
Campfires are allowed unless we have a state issued burning ban. Campers are responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires. Please be extremely careful during dry or drought conditions.
Conveniently located one mile from Hwy 421 but remote and peaceful with plenty of room to roam on our 22 acres with grapevines, fruit trees, forest, creeks, fields, goats, Beagle and Jackabee (Beagle/Jack Russell) dogs, cows, chickens, ducks and goats. Also, we have wildlife such as birds, squirrels, groundhogs, deer, raccoons, opossums, etc. We are about 15 miles from Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro (home of the Merle Fest and Apple Festival). Eden Oaks is 18 miles from W. Kerr Scott Dam & Reservoir, 24 miles from Stone Mt. State Park, and 10 miles from Elkin (sponsors of the Wine Festival and Pumpkin Festival).
Eden Oaks is in the heart of the Yadkin Valley and Swan Creek AVAs
(American Viticultural Area).
We're next door (3 miles) to Raffaldini and Piccione Vineyards.
Take a day trip to Boone, Blowing Rock, Blue Ridge Parkway, Mt. Airy, Winston-Salem, Charlotte or additional areas of interest.

We have 60 acres of mountainous land with hiking trails and great views. It's perfect for family time, bonfires, relaxing, hiking, biking, and picnics. Bring your own hammock or enjoy one of ours along the trails! This peaceful property is located near Whitetop Mountain (25 minutes) and Grayson Highlands State Park (40 minutes). The Virginia Creeper Trail in Damascus is just 15 minutes away!
We offer a glamping cottage with a kitchenette, electricity, and air conditioning. An 11-gallon camping sink and 5 gallons of drinking water are provided. A porta-potty is available and is serviced weekly.
The tent sites and the cottage both have access to our new, natural spring outdoor shower. The spring water is from our own spring located on our property. We house it in a solar rain barrel to assist with warming it for showers. Spring water showers have excellent benefits for skin and hair.
The cottage features a full-size bed, a queen sleeper sofa, and a twin bed in the loft. Guests also have access to a private fire pit, picnic table, and charcoal grill. Two tent sites are available and include a fire pit, charcoal grill (charcoal provided) and picnic table. No electrical hookups. But potable spring water can be provided.
Pets are welcome, and Wi-Fi is available. Just bring your hiking boots, bikes, groceries, and toiletries!

Though we are very secluded in the mountains, Walmart is only 5 mins down the road. Spruce Pine is 10-15 mins and has food, grocery, gas, hospital, and a brewery. Marion is a bigger town with mostly anything you could be looking for and is about 20mins away down the mountain. If you want some city buzz, head to vibrant Asheville under an hour away, where you'll find endless art, restaurants, breweries, live music, and more.
Live closer to the earth, the mountains, the curious creatures, and return home with some gratitude!

The I2 site was very private and peaceful with the creek flowing behind. Beautiful area. Jimmy helped us with anything we needed. Personally would go with I1 next time just to be a little shorter distance to the restrooms , which were extremely clean! The firewood was a little green so hard to get a fire going, but plenty to scavenge around site. Only complaint is the fire pit was a bit distant from the rest of camp, so just a lot of trekking up and down when preparing meals.

Wonderful level site on the edge of a pasture with statuesque round bales of hay freshly rolled. Two nights under the stars was the perfect unwinding after exploring nearby Erwin. Even my big old dog felt relaxed with the smells and sounds (he typically paces in the tent, he loved the fresh air and zonked out early each night)
Pat was easy to meet up with once I arrived and all messages were quickly answered.
The peacocks were curious and fun to stare back at. I will visit site 6 again for the star gazing at night and rooster in the morning.

It was a wonderful experience tent camping on Steve's land. The river was amazing, crisp clear water, great for taking a deep down stream, or simply enjoying it was the river bank. We came into the area for FaithFest 2026 which was about a 15 minute drive from Eden Oaks. We stayed in site 2. The site is very large and level. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is perfect and the hosts, Sandra and Roy, couldn’t be more friendly and accommodating.

Our stay at Jon’s property was incredible! The sites were thoughtful and really well maintained. We stayed at site 6 and the sunrise and sunset were so beautiful.
We also really appreciated how close we were to west Jefferson but still being able to camp at such a beautiful property where you feel like you’re somewhere completely different.
Jon was a wonderful host and really helpful with directions getting to our site and answering any questions we had! The only thing to note is that you definitely need 4WD or AWD especially if it’s rainy weather.

We loved our stay at Anna’s property! She was really responsive and helpful with us booking a last minute site.
Her property driving in was so beautiful and serene and the sites were so thoughtful and beautifully situated along the river! They were placed far enough apart so you still felt like you had enough privacy and space away from each site.
We wish we had more time here to enjoy our site and to be able to go into the river.

They allowed us to stay beyond check out to get ourselves fully set up and ready for travels without a time crunch to worry about! We did some tent camping on one of the Dispersed Camping sites at Growing Faith and it was so lovely. You first notice the beauty of the farm with zinnias, sunflowers and farm animals. There was plenty of open space at our site. We set up two tents, a screen tent and a shower tent with much more room to spare.
Tina, our host, was so nice. We were greeted via the app prior to arriving and when we arrived. We were given a layout of everything. She even provided a list of things to do in the area. We felt really welcomed. She and her husband are very interactive and was happy to answer any questions we had and assured us they were just a call away. I could hear them driving up the mountain to assist other guests so I know that was a true statement. The hospitality was amazing.
I had no need for my shower tent because of the clean air-conditioned bathhouse that was just a few steps away.
We purchased a watermelon from the farm. I forgot my camping chair and I was grateful that Tina let me borrow one for the weekend. Don’t forget to make a camping list and check it twice! :-)
Overall it was a wonderful experience. So nice to have a nice place to disconnect that was only an hour and a half way from home in Charlotte. I will definitely come back and explore the other sites offered. I want to explore solo-camping and this may be an option for me as I felt safe and welcomed there.

What a gem!!!! Rebecca’s land is one of our favorite campsites to date- very easy to find + get to (even in my RAV4), private, and gorgeous! My husband recently has taken up fishing and enjoyed catching bass all weekend! Being in walking distance to a shower, flush toilet and running water was such a luxury as well! We can’t wait to be back!

Another fabulous visit to what my 4 year old calls "the Buffalo Farm". This is our fourth time here in three years because we just enjoy it SO much. Pat has cultivated such a magical, special place. My kids love exploring the bamboo forest, observing the pond for signs of wildlife, and riding their bikes safely around. It's the perfect space for us adults to detach from the real world and relax for a weekend. Lots of memories made. Plus there's a real bathroom and tables to spread our cooking stuff on. We will see you next year! THANK YOU!!

Man they are awesome. These are the nicest people I’ve come across in a hot minute. The site was perfect! For the money you really get a lot. Need fire wood? Don’t worry about it. They come see you and make sure you are setup. Bathroom is a port-a john but it’s not like a construction site one, very clean. The shower is pretty cool and the water does feel great. What a great jump off point for moving all over the area, not too close and not too far.
