Site 1 - Starlight Hills Campground
Site 1 was perfect. The best, in my opinion. Next to the showers and bathrooms. Set back from the road, very spacious, and a lot more privacy than some of the other spots. William had our firewood bundle and s’mores gift bag placed carefully at the site, waiting for us when we got in late Friday night. Place was clean, quiet, easy to get to, and overall had a great time. We checked out Forest City Main Street (20mins) and South Mountains State Park (25mins) while we were there. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful View and Great Experience
Absolutely loved this campsite! Very secluded from the public and quiet! Each site had a perimeter of trees for privacy, although all the leaves had fallen when we stayed so the privacy was limited. Would be much better during the summer! There is only one set of three porter potties at the beginning of drive through campground, so site 8 was on the other end. Definitely a little bit of a hike to get to it, but driving back to it was an option. We didn’t use the showers, but they looked nice considering they are outdoors. Two available showers with a bench, hooks, and a door and curtain for privacy.
The man who tends to the grounds was very nice and filled with facts about the astronomical activity during our stay which included a meteor shower and knowledge regarding the positions of the planets with the moon. Learned a lot and enjoyed the chat with him.
The overlook was beautiful. It was located in the middle of the campground and is used as a community center with picnic area and bbq grill.
There are hiking trails within the campground that offer a moderate level of difficulty and a beautiful view of either another overlook or a stream depending on which fork you take.
Beware of bees if you are allergic. For some reason the whole area had them. They were very docile- mostly just annoying.
Overall the experience was wonderful and would highly recommend to other campers!

MTG2
Spent a wonderful weekend at the Starlight Hills Campground MTG3! William was very communicative both prior to arrival, and throughout our stay. The yurt was a lovely warm retreat despite the cold November nights and the view was unmatched! If you can, definitely book a spa night as well- the set up they’ve built overlooking the valley is absolutely beautiful. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Clear some roots
There were quite a bit of roots that messed with setting up tents within the open area available. But using an inflatable mattress made it just fine

Tiny House Glamping Mountain View
Glamping
We love coming up here every year. They are so welcoming and accommodating. I suggest coming and spending a couple of nights away. The tiny house and the glamping tents have heaters which make the experience more elevated than typical camping. If you prefer to bring a tent and camp on a lot it’s a great option too. Thank you again for the lovely stay!

Site 5 - Starlight Hills Campground
Spent 3 great nights at site 5.
This site is at a slope but nothing too crazy. We were able to fit a 8 person tent. You do have to walk a bit but nothing crazy. The nights were beautiful and not too cold for the days we went. The portajohns and showers are a bit far from this site so we did have to drive down to them. Showers are great and have good lighting when it gets dark. Water was hot and they provide body wash and shampoo in case you forget yours. The views from the lookout are 💯. the only downsides that I had was that there was a swarm of yellow jackets that kept annoying us every time we cooked something during the day.
& On our last night we heard a pack of coyotes howling very near so I would suggest not leaving any kind of food out.
