For more information, visit our website at www.telluriancampground.com Tellurian Family Campground offers conveniently located spacious travel trailer, camper, RV and tent camp sites with incredible views and access to a pristine mountain river. The property consists of 93 acres and 2780 feet (1⁄2 mile) of river frontage on the First Broad River. The First Broad River offers canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and fishing. Smallmouth and freshwater sunfishing is incredible on this stretch of the river and there are also opportunities for mountain river catfish. Tellurian’s scenic location offers stunning vista views of the surrounding countryside, sprawling views of the South Mountain and Cherry Mountain ranges, as well as long range views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The sunsets are amazing and the star lit skies are uninhibited by city lights. One of the few lights that can be seen at night lights up a steeple silhouetted against the mountain ridges. It’s truly a peaceful site. Tellurian is centrally located between Charlotte NC, Asheville NC, and Spartanburg SC in the small town of Casar, NC. We are located in a rural setting in the foothills on the edge of the South Mountains Range, a branch of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Thank you for checking out our place! We are Jud and Amanda Wortman. We have three children – Emma Grace and Baxter (twins) and Elena Jo. As a family, we enjoy canoeing, kayaking and camping. We live 9 miles from Tellurian on a family farm. We have always enjoyed quiet secluded campsites, river floats and sitting by the river. After years of looking all over the mountains for a river property we could call our own, our favorite spot on the river came up for sale. It just so happened it was nearly halfway between where we both grew up. After many sleepless nights worrying if we could succeed or not (it was much larger than properties we had been looking for), we bought it! Our favorite spot on the river was virtually inaccessible by any way other than floating. But after hundreds of hours of hard work, we think we have developed a place where others too can enjoy the things we do about the property. We dream big and Tellurian remains a work in progress, but we feel we have created a place where folks can enjoy the peacefulness of nature, the river and incredible views. Naming our campground proved to be one of the most challenging tasks throughout the process of developing it. After many ideas and brainstorming sessions as a family, we decided to go with Tellurian. We know it’s a bit different; that’s what we like about it. We think our place stands out and, after visiting Tellurian, we think you’ll agree it does too. Tellurian Campground - Site 6
Nice amenities.
Had a nice time once we were settled in. Our site was a little difficult to find a good position but we eventually figured out a way to make it work. Amanda very nice, gracious n helpful. Her daughter made customized gifts of fire starters and a hand written note. So sweet!! Beautiful river runs through property and many amenities are in the works.. Heard our first Chuck-Wills Widow (bird) calling most of the night.. everyone, .. fellow campers, ourselves wondered about that strange wild animal call through the night. Used an app on our phones to eventually identify it. Incredible experience that night.. Beautiful sunset over the Smokies. South Mountain Park waterfalls a must see.. would definitely stay again if heading through it is in our future. Dump station and trash receptacles are easy access at the top of the hill at the turnaround loop. Very convenient!

Beautiful and unique
This beautiful campground boasts amazing views, spacious sites, well kept grounds and a short walk to the river. We brought our 4 year old and had a blast just playing yard games, swimming in the river and enjoying the peaceful area. Jud was so polite and accommodating. One of our AC units broke during our stay so we replaced it while we were there. Jud allowed us to leave the old unit there and arranged to have it picked up. He even helped my husband carry it to the garbage area. We would absolutely stay there again!

A Must See!!!
If you seek tranquility, this is the place for you. With breathtaking views, a rushing river, and wonderful hosts, you can't find a better spot to camp. Jud is incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made our experience even better. Jud and Amanda are exceptional hosts. Jud's friendliness stood out as he took the time to show our kids a trick at the waterfall and drove our family to the most beautiful view on the property. His love for sharing the delights of his land is evident, creating unforgettable memories for our family. We will definitely be returning multiple times a year. The campground sites are excellent, with six available and five offering full hookups. All sites are level, and the bathhouse is very clean. It's clear that Jud and Amanda take great pride in their property, and we look forward to seeing the transformations they plan in the coming years.

Great spot!
Had an awesome time, was so hot that we spent most of the afternoon down by and in the river. Met Jud when we arrived who gave us the lay of the land.
