Our stay at Mountain View Acres started off a bit rough when our campervan couldn't get up the wet, grassy hill leading from the Starlight campsite. However, Ray, Shannon, and family were immediately on the scene like friendly neighbors. In no time, they had the van up and in another spot in no time, which turned out to be perfect. They rescued our van and our weekend! It rained lightly but steadily for most of our weekend so we didn't get a chance to fully experience everything this beautiful place has to offer, which is a lot. We did get in some wet walks and doggie naps, though. The bathhouse was clean and warm, with hot showers - especially nice during the chilly rain. There were others staying on the grounds but we rarely saw or heard them. This could have been one of those disastrous stays that you give up on but it was so peaceful and Ray and Shannon were such great hosts that we still really enjoyed being there, and I'd still recommend it to others. You just might want to reconsider driving down to the Starlight campsite and settle for walking the short distance to it.

We had a wet and soggy blast at Nona's Hideaway. The site was secluded but still close by the bathrooms (which were super clean and comparable to if not better than any state park campground). My kiddos favorite part were the animals, the donkey's especially. We got to feed them carrots and apples! We had a very rainy weekend and while the campsite got a little soggy it drained well. The location is a quick drive to area attractions, we went to Dupont for a quick hike to Triple Falls in between rainfalls. We would have loved to hike more but the weather wasn't cooperating.

Loved camping here! Beautiful site, everything you need is here, and the hosts are fabulous!! Helped us out of a tough spot (literally, pulled our car out of the mud for us). I recommend 4wd/awd if you’re planning on staying here, otherwise if it’s raining you’ll have to walk up and down a hill with your stuff or get stuck like we did 😳 highly recommended!

Camping in seclusion.
Their property was lovely - for families with kids sure they would enjoy seeing their farm animals. I had a campsite tucked away from others / was perfect spot for my camper van.
