Working on Facebook, Instagram, and a website. Search for: Old Mill Falls My Neighbor has started his own Campsite, "The Swimming Hole". If mine is booked and you still want to camp, look him up. He is better suited for small groups and has more privacy. Easy drive right to the campsite There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee. A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite. Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, the weather can change conditions and make it unusable. I should also add that this is not completely private. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will also end a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view Still much quieter and more private than a regular campground. Close to the U.S. National Whitewater Center (mountain biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking), Kings Mountain National Military Park (Horseback riding and history), Crowders Mountain (Hiking), 3 miles off of I-85 and US-321 for people passing through. My campsite is not entirely private. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is located up a hill that overlooks the area. Additionally, my neighbors own the land on the other side of the stream and have requested that campers not trespass on their side. Please stay in the water and on our campsite side. There is a gravel road leading to the campsite, which can accommodate two-wheel drive vehicles or small RVs. You can park and camp at the base of the falls. I also now include a grill. It features both a propane and a charcoal side. I provide the propane, but not the charcoal. There is plenty of soft sand available to set up tents—whether you have one tent or ten, large groups are welcome for an additional per-person fee. A Porta-Potty is provided at the campsite. Swimming is generally possible at the base of the falls; however, heavy rainfall can change conditions and make the stream unsafe. The campsite is conveniently located near the US National Whitewater Center (offering mountain biking, whitewater rafting, and kayaking), Kings Mountain National Military Park (featuring horseback riding and historical attractions), and Crowders Mountain (ideal for hiking). It is just 3 miles off I-85 and US-321 for those passing through.

Pull-in site
You will be driving on sand at the site. To get in and out you will drive on a steep hill with a gravel road. This is not your average RV site, there will be a lot of maneuvering on sand to turn around and get back out.
