Secluded camping area next to the swimming hole on long creek. Very quiet and peaceful. Spend your evening relaxing or swimming. Picnic table is provided. No bathroom right now. It’s just a short walk down hill to the campground. (250 steps) It’s close to US National Whitewater center, Kings Mountain National Military park, and Crowders Mountain park. 3 miles off I-85 and US-321. Also check out my neighbors Hipcamp called the waterfallPitch you tent next the swimming hole on Long Creek where it’s quiet and peaceful, listening to the water running over the rocks. It’s about a.1/4 mile walk down hill from parking spot. (250)steps picnic table and fire ring is provided. 3 mile from I-85 and US-321. It’s about 15 to 20 mins drive to most stores. The swimming hole
Steve has a nice little spot and we really enjoyed our time! Very private and lovely spot with the stream lulling you to sleep. Steve was very kind to sell us some extra firewood and deliver it right to the campsite when we ran out too quickly. This land has been in his family for centuries and you can tell he is passionate about sharing it with travelers. Only thing to note when planning is that it's a short walk downhill from where you park your car. Not a bad thing but something to keep in mind. We will definitely be back again!

The swimming hole
The Swimming Hole is a beautiful camp site and my 15 year old son and I had a great time there over Easter weekend. We happened to bump into Steve and Tina one afternoon on their 4 wheelers as we were unloading some things from the car on our second day there and had a brief exchange - otherwise, we just texted a few times when we arrived to let them know we were there. Their philosophy to just let guests be, to enjoy the private site and quiet we're escaping to, was perfect. They were responsive to any questions (what's the best place to cross the stream, for example - the answer is right at the campsite, btw!), but were not intrusive in any way. The site was clean, freshly raked, and had a great spot for our tent. The walk down from the parking area was clean of debris and easy to navigate. There is a spot towards the bottom that gets a little muddy, but Steve has some pavers placed to help with your footing. Some gravel or other material that drains well would do great there for some folks with more limited mobility, but it worked just fine for us. The stream was really cold as it's only the first week of April, but it was fun to fish in. I'm sure the swimming is incredible once it gets warmer. We definitely can't wait to return

The swimming hole
He’s an amazing person, Steve gave us some stone slabs so that we didn’t have to walk in the mud and he was fun to talk to. The place was amazing and with a nice small trail behind the river

The swimming hole
Nice, quiet, safe.
Awesome campsite. Hammock trees right beside the creek. Quiet. Safe and about 10 minutes from a gut-bomb and a beer. Decent cell service (ATT).

Great spot
A very peaceful place. Very private, with a little babbling stream. Only complaint is they had a confederate flag in their parking area, which is not the most welcoming for a person like me.
