Campsites are on a small horse farm located just 4 miles from downtown St Augustine and 5 miles from Vilano Beach. Many hiking and water activities within 30 minutes. You select the space you where you wish to set up camp. The entrance off the dirt road is tricky for large rigs or trailers more than 35' may not have easy access. Our sites offer potable water, a shower, picnic tables, a toilet, wifi, trash disposal, space for campfires, and we are pet friendly! We can accommodate tents, RVs, and trailers. Our guests love staying here: "Camping at Gayle’s property was an amazing experience. We shared the field with 3 other campers but there was still plenty of room between sites. Land is flat and has fire pit spaces and BBQ grills. Outdoor shower was appreciated even though we didn’t use it & it was great to have the port-o-potty on site. The best part was getting to see the animals!"

Our two level (full hookup) RV pads are on beautiful Anastasia Island within walking distance to the Atlantic ocean, Pier Court Park and the St. Augustine Amphitheater. Anastasia State Park is within a mile. St. Augustine is just over the Bridge of Lions three miles away. Each pad has its own furnished patio and small green yard space. We have a small fishing lake in the back yard (unfenced). There is a national bird rookery preserve a few blocks away so the bird watching is wonderful. There is an alligator farm and a dolphin aquarium on the island., as well as a historic continuous working light house and Maritime Museum. Our pads are just across the Bridge of Lions (2 miles) from the Oldest USA city, St. Augustine, Fl. The historic Fountain of Youth is here along with Castillo de San Marcus National Monument, St. George Street, the historic district plus many other attractions. We have two level paver RV Pads. They both have electric, black and grey water cleanout, fast high speed internet (full hookup). They each have private patios for picnics, socializing, and relaxing. Both pads have high speed internet. Pad 1 accommodates an RV up to up to 28' in length. Pad 2 accommodates an RV up to 34' in length. We accept small Class A Motorhomes (34' and under), Class B, Class C, Small 5th Wheel, Pop-up Campers, Vans and Travel Trailers. Sorry, no tent camping is allowed. There is also a large back deck with picnic area overlooking the small fishing lake in the back yard. We enjoy meeting fellow travelers and sharing our paradise island. We are LGBTQ friendly. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe. The location has easy access to great adventures, history and wonderful memories may be made here. Pets are welcome on leash. accompanied by an adult, Each pet is $5. additional fee. There is an off leash park two blocks away. Most of the beaches are also pet friendly. Because we are also avid RV'ers, we thought what better way to finish off our corner than to add a few first-class RV sites to accommodate the camping community. We hope you enjoy your stay on our corner! In a small town in the south, where the Okefenokee Swamp runs deep and railfans thrive, the Conductor’s Corner stands out. The Conductor’s Corner features 3 premium RV sites directly on the rail lines of the Folkston Funnel. This railfan's dream neighbors the Folkston Railfan Train Platform. The spacious concrete pads are perfect for a night of watching trains under the stars. 20x50 concrete pads with 30/50 amp power, water, sewer, Wifi & picnic tables. A quick 3 minute walk from the Conductor’s Corner will lead to the heart of Main Street where visitors will find a plethora of hidden treasures: coffee shops, boutiques, local eateries, the Train Museum and so much more. Guests could spend a day exploring the habitats and waterways of the Okefenokee Swamp or take a short drive to neighboring communities such as Cumberland Island, Savannah, Golden Isles or Amelia Island or Jacksonville in Florida. We just finished (well 2 years ago) traveling the country in an RV with five of our 7 kids (oldest two were in college) and we had a terrible time finding places to stay in Saint Augustine when we came home to visit. I have been on the road for 2 months and I needed a break. I booked two nights and it was exactly what I was expecting. I can't describe the tranquility. I stayed in the back lot which had the perfect amount of privacy. I had a view of the farm, a pond and forest. It was so peaceful. I enjoyed walking with my dog around the lot and over to see the goats and chickens. I wish the weather had cooperated because the nights were overcast but I am certain the view of the stars is amazing. It is so close to all the Saint Augustine attractions...I mean less than 10 minutes to 95 and downtown but you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. The host was very accommodating and gave me several suggestions for local activities. The other thing I want to mention is how safe I felt. I am a solo female traveler and I felt so safe I slept with my back doors of my van open...all night. I plan on staying here again.

Our favorite campsite and host! Perfect for families and we brought our dog this time and he loved it. Multiple sites that are far from each other so even when it was full, we were fully secluded. Hammocks, bathrooms, amazing fire pits and the outdoors... what more can you ask for.

Probably the best and most relaxing 8 nights we ever spent camping. We had 10 acres fenced in and there were 6 horses in the 20 acre field in front of us. We could let the pups out and they loved the horses and the horses were interested in them. We could only see one house in the distance and it was in the suburbs of Jacksonville Florida and close to everything. The site had complete hookups including water, sewer and 50 amp electric. If you need to camp near Jacksonville this is the spot you want to use.

I highly recommend this campground. All sites are spread apart from one another and have amenities like chairs, fire rings, hammocks. I stayed at site #2 which didn't have power or a picnic table but I feel had one of the best locations/views. I would stay again!

3 nights at Blackwater Ranch – River Camping

I circled the weird part of Georgia that dips into Florida on a map and asked my local born friends "what goes on in the dingus?" After the laughter subsided we found Blackwater Ranch and decided to give it a try. What a lovely, family friendly place. Clean bathrooms, running water, electricity, and a very unique location! Camping here in January lets you benefit from the lack of bugs while still enjoying this very clean and well maintained campground. The host's instructions were clear and easy to follow and the list of nearby amenities and entertainment was very cool to look through. I was surprised to have 5 bars of 5G on Google Fi here which is handy unless you're hiding from work during a forecasted ice storm back home. If you're bringing a large group of people and are pressed for space you can leave the chairs home. The pavilion comes fully stocked with every kind of camp chair you can imagine. Tent sites are nice and large and I couldn't find a single rock the whole weekend. No worries about setting up a tent on rough or uneven ground. Hammock campers may want to look into sites other than site 1 with maybe only 3 viable trees to hang from. All in all it was a fun weekend at a very nice campground. We'll be coming back!

We had a great time camping here! Everyone was so sweet, including the animals! There were 2-4 other campers with there during our stay but it still felt private, everyone had plenty of space. We’re already talking about going back with our kid!

Weekend Trip to The Happy Hideaway

We loved our stay at the Happy Hideaway. The owners were very helpful with positioning our camper and friendly. The space is lovely and private, exactly what we needed after a long drive to get there. They provided firewood also which was appreciated. The spot is quite private next to the green workshop. Our dogs barked a lot at the wildlife but we didn’t see anything other than squirrels. If you back in all the way you may want to have a 50-ft electric cable. We hope to come back and stay a while next time!
