Anastasia State Park is within a mile. St. Augustine is just over the Bridge of Lions three miles away. Each pad has its own furnished patio and small green yard space. We have a small fishing lake in the back yard (unfenced). There is a national bird rookery preserve a few blocks away so the bird watching is wonderful. There is an alligator farm and a dolphin aquarium on the island., as well as a historic continuous working light house and Maritime Museum. Our pads are just across the Bridge of Lions (2 miles) from the Oldest USA city, St. Augustine, Fl. The historic Fountain of Youth is here along with Castillo de San Marcus National Monument, St. George Street, the historic district plus many other attractions. We have two level paver RV Pads. They both have electric, black and grey water cleanout, fast high speed internet (full hookup). They each have private patios for picnics, socializing, and relaxing. Both pads have high speed internet. Pad 1 accommodates an RV up to up to 28' in length. Pad 2 accommodates an RV up to 34' in length. We accept small Class A Motorhomes (34' and under), Class B, Class C, Small 5th Wheel, Pop-up Campers, Vans and Travel Trailers. Sorry, no tent camping is allowed. There is also a large back deck with picnic area overlooking the small fishing lake in the back yard. We enjoy meeting fellow travelers and sharing our paradise island. We are LGBTQ friendly. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe. The location has easy access to great adventures, history and wonderful memories may be made here. Great campground! Staff is super welcoming and available when needed. Amenities are easily accessible clearly marked, with great maps provided by the site. Hands-down, best showers I've experienced at a campground (especially if you don't mind a tree frog or two joining you😉). Highly recommend!

Azaleas bloom throughout the property during the spring. We have many other flowers and fruit trees around the property which attract lots of birds,

Kenny’s Vineyard Lake was perfect for our needs! We live in south Florida, and looking for an overnight close to the hwy just to get out of Florida. It was easy to find and access. Everything was as stated and worked perfectly. It is a big flat field so if you need practice backing! This is an opportunity with nothing in your way😉. We hope to stay again in the future.

Weekend Trip to Lofton Retreat

Margaret met us at the entrance to her property in her golf cart and we followed her the short distance to the site. She helped me back in to the site so that the (full w/30 amp) hookups were close to our RPod 192. She offered her assistance to anything we would need and she placed two items on the picnic table - a pretty flower in a glass vase and a bag of brochures with local information. I purchased a bundle of firewood from her and enjoyed an evening fire. We live 500 miles away and discovered that we know a relative of hers who taught our son in fourth grade. It’s a small world! The site itself is very peaceful and small signs describe the different types of vegetation and bird feeders adorn the property and they attract a multitude of birds. She offered us a method of securing the gate to our site but I declined as I had no fear for our safety. We were there to visit two of my wife’s brothers and their wives who live nearby so we spent most of our visit with them. We did go to church in Fernandina and then had dinner at a restaurant nearby (The Boat House). So we really saw very little of the many local attractions but realize that we want to return to explore some of them. We highly recommend this Hip Camp (it was a first time using HC and I am sure it won’t be our last). Margaret is a gracious host, her property is beautiful and the fee is very fair.

We had a great time at Gayles’s place. It was very peaceful and had tons of open spaces to choose a spot. The horses were friendly and the property was very beautiful. Would definitely recommend to others. Very close to downtown St. Augustine as well.

Weekend Trip to Vineyard Lake Getaway

We enjoyed our weekend stay. We had the site to ourselves and it was very peaceful. The water levels on the pond were very low (by what looks like at least 6 feet) but there was still quite a bit of water. The water lilies were in bloom. I caught a few small bass but surprisingly few panfish (I think they are being out-competed by the bass which are stocked). We saw quite a few birds and there was a pair of geese in the pond with their goslings and a muscovy duck which thought it was part of the family. The utilities were great and very convenient. The site (#2) was quite flat and on typical Florida sand. Site #1 looked pretty rough though and I'm glad we opted for #2. It rained pretty hard one evening but it drained very well. One note: the owner has dogs which stay on their side of a line of cones and asks that you do not take your dogs over the line (which is entirely reasonable and easily respected; there is a lot of room). However, you cannot leave the property on a dog walk without crossing the line. We loaded our dogs into the truck and went to a nearby trail head for walking.

What a lovely site! My pup and I had a great time. The pasture offered loads of space, framed by tall trees with hanging Spanish moss. The bathroom amenities were just what I needed for a camping trip. A hot shower was welcomed each evening. The horses were friendly, and my dog and I loved watching the turkey family roam the property in the mornings and evenings. Gayle was lovely as well.

Weekend Trip to Blackwater Ranch - River Camping

We loved camping at Blackwater Ranch. We felt very safe because of the locked gate at the entrance, and we were able to let our dogs run free. The campsite of the river bluff was very clean and flat. The bathrooms were nice and clean. We were able to meet the owner, and he was super nice! Overall great stay and would stay again!

It was so peaceful and quiet. We so enjoyed drinking our morning coffee, outside, watching the squirrels play and the birds come to the birdfeeders. Peggy was very welcoming and quick to answer our questions. Appon arrival, there was fresh cut flowers and a gift bag filed with local attraction info, on our table., We hope to come again!!

Very convenient location just off the Hwy. Easy to book and lots of grassy room to maneuver in and out. We parked so the trees blocked the light and we put up our blackout shades and had a good night’s sleep. We chose this spot bc it was about 20 mins from the ferry to Cumberland Island.
