This former timberland has been recently thinned but still retains enough pine and hardwood trees to provide a natural shade. Come camp under the stars and explore wild Florida, surrounded by palmettos and other native wildlife. You may see the occasional deer, turkey, or rabbit strolling though. Pack out what you pack in and help us keep this spot “all natural” for all guests.

This site is deep into the forested area of our property, surrounded by natural Florida underbrush and shaded by pines and other hardwoods. Hike in only. Parking is 1/4 mi away and wagons are available upon request. There is a composting toilet set up with non-potable water for handwashing. No running water or electric—this is a primitive camping site.

Close to the main access road, this cove is cut into the pine timberland and surrounded on 3 sides by heavy woods and native underbrush. It’s close enough to back into but private enough to feel surrounded by nature. Hang a hammock and enjoy the sounds of wildlife or go hiking through the surrounding wilds. Picnic table and fire ring provided. No running water or other hookups.

Restful boondocking under tge

Boondockers Haven

We loved our camping spot on Rebecca's land! We are self-contained so we didn't need the composting toilet. Nonetheless, it was clean and well-maintained. Our boondocking niche fit our crew cab truck and 23' pull behind trailer perfectly. We enjoyed a nice campfire-plenty of wood available, and plenty of woods to explore. Some road traffic and people walking by, but mostly very quiet, especially at night. Oh, the stars! Beautiful, especially at night. The picnic table, log seats, bench, and side table helped the spot feel cozy and welcoming. We loved meeting Rebecca and her hubby and look forward to enjoying a stay here again someday.

This is a great spot to camp! The owners are very nice, communicate extremely well and are very helpful! It’s a nice little oasis that is minutes from the town of Callahan.

Back Acre Woods 1

Rebecca is an amazing host! She was very helpful, answered my messages quickly, and gave clear understandable instructions on where to camp. The property has a cute little picnic table and a fire place. The night I spent was very quiet and peaceful. I woke up to the sounds of bird chirping and felt well-rested. This is the perfect site to relax from the big city and I will definitely come back again! Thank you! :)
