This was an ok camping spot, just not my vibe. It is so close to the busy road that there is no quiet, just constant noise. I felt like I was sleeping under a bridge on the interstate. That, combined with the often-travelled gravel road just a few steps from the campsite, took away all sense of peace and quiet. There were also a lot of briars, thistle and holly bushes, so even though off-leash for the pup was a great thought, he was constantly getting thorns in his paws. Stephanie was quick to reply to my initial message. She did not answer my question but said she would get back to me in a few days. She did not. Finally, when I arrived using the coordinates that Hipcamp provided, I had questions about where I was supposed to be. I called Stephanie and left a message but never heard back. This campsite is in a pretty setting, and your expectations may be different, but this did not measure up to my past Hipcamp experiences.

The campsite was easy to access and clearly marked. Unfortunately, it is right beside a very busy and noisy roadway. It has constant traffic all night long. During the night, we were startled awake by six very loud and very close semi-automatic gunshots. We left the site and returned the next morning to get our gear. I will not return.

Stephanie was super helpful and directive. Land felt private and nice, but could still hear the road nearby. We got in super late so didn't explore much, but seemed spacious and pretty well kept. Kinda spooky vibes, but still safe.

Totally easy camping for a four wheel drive vehicle. Stayed one night for the experience. Bring everything you will need. Had a great time with the family.

It was a great little spot outside Columbia. Secluded and beautiful woods. Would definitely visit again! You can hear some cars on the road so it’s not like you’re out in the middle of nowhere where but we didn’t mind that. Nice place to camp out in nature. Check it out!

Stephanie was great! She was very responsive in her communication with us, and prepared the campsite prior to our arrival. Her instructions were easy to follow as well.
The campsite is plenty large enough for everyone in a group to find a place to set up, but was also just fine for the two of us and our dogs (who could run off leash!).
Only drawback was the road noise throughout the day and periodically throughout the night. It wasn’t a big deal for us, but could be for some.

Very pretty spot to camp for the night. Lots of pretty stars. Road traffic is louder than expected, but still nice. I couldn’t find the little graveyard, but I’m sure it was right under my nose somewhere.

Stephanie H. was quick to respond and very helpful in helping us find the campsite in the dark. We stayed one night and enjoyed having the property to ourselves. The campsite was clean, rustic, and private.

I loved everything about the campsite, nice and secluded but not too far from a gas station if you forget something. Stephanie is very kind and helped us out find the campsite with no problem. Definitely will be back and recommend stopping here. The graveyard is really cool also!

We camped here with our two dogs, we were able to let them free roam no issues, they loved it! We had a great spot, and had enough distance from the other campers, we didn’t even notice anyone else had been there till we decided to walk the property! Plenty of space for a big family or just a couple like us! Stephanie was super accommodating and allowed us an early check in and was extremely friendly and welcoming, she truly makes the environment a warm welcome, and feels like home away from home! We drove 12 hours to camp here and we would do it again in a heartbeat!

This is a wonderful site as it is fairly secluded and in the woods. Would recommend for anyone who is camping with a buddy!

Had a wonderful time just me and my dog. I got to let her run off leash which is wonderful because I barely get that opportunity. Stephanie is kind and quick to help if you need it. I got farm eggs even though I had my own because that's exciting :)

My son and I camped here for one night. We explored the property and found a small family grave yard which sparked discussion about life in the rural south before the Civil War. Great conversation starter for father/son camping trip. Liked the picnic table (played checkers) and extra table to put items on. Host was friendly and had great communication. We also were able to have our dog off leash which was nice. Only possible downside was hearing traffic from the road, but not that big of a deal for us.

My son & I really enjoy our camping trip at kaleidoscope farms. My son wanted to get out & sleep under the stars & our campsite had the perfect view of the night sky! Stephanie is a great host & quick to respond to any questions we had. I definitely recommend kaleidoscope farms for your next camping trip.

Nice spot right outside of Columbia. As others noted, you can hear car traffic but we made it work. It was nice to have some space and not be on top of other campers. We had a good time and it’s close to home for a quick getaway- even with packing all the gear and water.

Real easy to deal with Stephanie, I came in very late and left early without a meet up.. no problem… I like a primitive camping experience and this was a nice slice of South Carolina woods , peace and quiet and took a hike around the paths before I left…

The hill we stayed on was great.
I backed the van up to a pine, and felt like I was in a deep thicket.
Was a little worried about finding the place, but Stephanie clearly marked the driveway with a Hipcamp sign.

We had a great time hammock and tent camping. Plenty of trees for hammocking! Lots of deadwood for a campfire. Easy access to the site. Our host was very responsive and accommodating. We will be back!
