All while keeping it classy. At Heirloom Hamlet, you will see us designing unique, functional cabins, installing solar, composting, planting, and building toilets that are better for our environment. We're bread baking, pasta making, timber milling, woodworking, clay-forming and metal pounding. The goal is to evolve into a small world of self-reliance and harmony with nature. Ani and I are big believers in being mindful and respectful of our environment wherever reasonable. So, we are incorporating both alternative and municipal utilities as they can fit into our homestead design and limited budget. Through good design, our goal is to show just how "normal" small living can feel. We all have personal priorities and those will vary greatly, and that's okay. But no person should be so self-absorbed that we have completely shut out the importance of being respectfully mindful to the earth and to our fellowman. After all, if we don't have that, what do we have? To be completely transparent, though, the creatives in us also would like it if we inspired onlookers to possibly look at their own space and life a little bit differently. We've personally found it to be so fulfilling to distinguish real desires and needs from the ones we've been groomed to pursue, and then work to make them a reality. We've found it energizing to witness our fellowmen and women pursuing a dream. We'd like to be a stimulating memory along any person's journey. Visiting with us, we sure hope our guests don't expect to find a corporate approach to life here, and that they can appreciate some of our old-fashioned ways. Weekend Trip to Camp Moondog

We loved tent camping at the Far Out space! It was very secluded - we never saw anyone else! There was plenty of down trees for firewood and great flat spots for our tent. Mike was super helpful when we got there - he made one trip when I got there and another when my husband got there with the ATV. We were nervous about the 5-8 minute walk and not having our car right there but with Mike's help it was very doable! We will definitely be back!

We had an WONDERFUL stay at Chatooga Belle Farms! The views are stunning and the grounds are clean and well maintained. We arrived late in the afternoon but still had time to stop by the distillery for a tasting and drinks to take to our campsite. The staff are hands-down AMAZING and went above and beyond. We were able to build a little fire at our site and found a semi-private location to pitch our tent. Before we left the next day, we shopped around the Farm Store and got some homemade jams and sweet treats and I was able to pick my own muscadines and Scuppernongs. We will definitely be back!

Truly enjoyed my stay here! The land is very well maintained and who doesn’t love free range chickens? I needed a place that felt far away from people and they were gracious enough to give me that time and space. I hope to stay again.

Weekend Trip to Gathering Grounds

It was such a neat peaceful area! Less than an hr from Charleston! I’ll definitely be staying here again when I visit my friend while she’s in college! Everything was well maintained and bathrooms were clean! There are signs saying watch for gators, I unfortunately didn’t spot any to get a snap on my camera! I did have a cat jump on my car in the middle of the night and gave me a good giggle cause it startled me🤣

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this hidden gem one weekend, and we were so blown away that we immediately booked it again for the very next weekend! The hosts, Mike and Kelly showed phenomenal hospitality and they even helped us haul our gear to and from our campsite. The Far Out has quickly become one of our favorite spots to unwind and just soak up time together by the water. If you’re looking for a truly secluded, serene waterfront campsite, this place is an absolute must. Will be back!

Amazing! This is a wonderful place. Peaceful and private. The cabin itself is a work of art. Location is ideal for any camper. Our family of 4 loved this trip. We had a blast exploring the woods and playing in the River. The campfires on the riverbank, were so relaxing and tranquil. 10 out of 10. Great job Mike and Kelly.

Weekend Trip to River Island Venture Resort

1st time camping here and it was wonderful. Staff is extremely attentive and nice. Very laid back and unstressful which is really what your looking for on a weekend getaway to recharge from the day to day. The glamping tent we booked was extremely clean and comfortable overlooking the river making it very tranquil. If you bring children, the site has a myriad of events and activities to keep them busy and having fun. The whole facility is extremely well kept and a lot of thought and effort was put in to create the appropriate holiday theme of the season (we were there late Oct and it looked fabulous). We are definitely going to book another stay there especially with all the warm weather activities they have like kayaking and tubing. We might consider one of thier more excluded camping sites that they offer. Very much recommend checking it out whether old or young.

We had a great time this weekend. The site was the perfect balance of privacy and convenience, and it's just a beautiful site. The bathroom and shower was great. It's conveniently located and very clean. The owner was incredibly responsive and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Weekend Trip to Edisto River Luxury RV Resort

Truly a hidden gem. My daughter and I had a daddy/daughter weekend while mom was away for work. It was the most relaxing trip, very peaceful with the exception of some people doing what I assume was target practice for awhile. The site was excellent. We spent most of the time in the gazebo watching movies. The hot tub is different than pictured and is an inflatable one. Make sure it's on and running when you get there. Very nice bathroom and OUTDOOR shower. I already have another trip planned in a a few months. Dustin was excellent with communication and always responded very quickly.
