Learn more about this land:One can expect a wonderful wilderness experience at Earthganic Farm’s riverside camping. The path down to the sites is drivable in a truck, SUV, or van. There’s always the option to park up at the house and walk down (it’s a ten minute walk from the house to the river) and if you let us know ahead of time, we can bring your camping stuff down for you. We have two single kayaks that we rent for $15/day and you can put them in right on property and kayak up and down the river. There are walking/dirt biking trails through pine forest and nice hardwoods down by the river. The brave can take dips in the river. We had a great weekend. There was alot of rain on our weekend there but when the sun peaked out, we boated and swam on the lake, fished off the dock and had a great time. The boys camped and the girls stayed in the farmhouse. Jesse was an excellent host. The area was beautiful!

Really nice campsite. I would recommend bringing gallon jugs of water as I wasn't able to find a good access point to the river walking 100ft left/right along the shore from the site. River can be accessed if you're willing to do a little scrambling up the step sand. I was worried the solar lights would be too bright, but they were perfect. Move around camp without a headlamp, but not bright enough to light up my tent. There's some rocks in the river near the site creating a good churn - very relaxing to listen to and fall asleep to.

Absolutely incredible campground!! Location was epic—loved the privacy of the treehouse spot. Hosts were so incredible. Very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure the stay was wonderful. We were able to get the canoe through the woods and to the lake easily and docked it at their boat ramp when we came back in. Highly recommend and will be booking stays here until it’s not open anymore!

This is a great spot for camping in raw. The river is too fast for fishing and cottonmouths/moccasins (IMHO). There's still cell phone signal. If you have bad knees, Mike will gladly bum you a ride on a ATV. (~45° incline in spots.)
A great Summer swimming hole. Bring a flash light, extra water and firewood. Town is still close enough that you can make supply runs.

We came in late at night and camped at a field near the hill top. We saw it in the morning and the owner let us know but it’s okay to stay where we are. We also thought we booked an extra night. It didn’t come through. He was relaxed about it and we booked immediately the extra night. It is a very calm beautiful spot. Nice campfire spot in the woods and at night we heard some wildlife.

Loved our stay at the Bend. It was very quiet & private. No issue with noise or disturbance (even on a Saturday evening). Our hosts were extremely quick and responsive and wanted to ensure our stay went well (which it did). Fun to be camping on the river, but still just a few minutes to downtown Greenville. An extensive trail system makes it a breeze to get out into the wilderness. Mountain bike down steep hills, or enjoy well-maintained hiking trails through the trees. The Ellicott Rock Wilderness and the Hellhole Bay Wilderness are particularly interesting for hiking. For rafting, head straight for the Chattooga River.
Throughout the year, you’ll find organized events around the forest lands. The fantastic Sewee Visitor and Environmental Education Center keeps kids entertained. Other events include fishing rodeos and hunting events.
With both dispersed and developed camping options, there are plenty of places to sleep. Bringing an RV? The campgrounds in Cherry Hill Recreation Area and Whetstone Horse Camp are your best bet.

Exactly as advertised. Loved the dry firewood and new wooden swing. Flush toilet was a bit unstable but clean and a nice touch. Appreciate the hipcamp sing at driveway indicating entrance.

King Creek CG has been one of my favorite spots in the entire world since I was a kid. This is a can't-miss, special place!
Lots of fishing, hiking, untouched waterfalls, gorgeous views and the amazing Chattooga River all in one place!

One of our favorite campgrounds in South Carolina! Burrells Ford Campground is along the Chattooga River, which is a Wild and Scenic River. The river is popular with fly fishermen and white-water boaters. The Chattooga River Trail is a 15.5 mile hiking trail along the river with multiple waterfalls. Kings Creek Falls is just minutes from the campground.
The campground has an abundance of campsites that are maintained by the Forest Service. The majority of sites offer privacy and are great for groups. The campground is a short hike from the parking area, which deters extravagant car campers, but is still convenient. There are fire rings, picnic tables, bear-bag hangers, and an outhouse. Best of all - it is free!

Woodall Shoals is a magical part of the Chattooga River, a federally protected, Wild and Scenic river! As a well-known boater put-in and with access to little river beaches, you are likely to run into others hanging out in the sun or trying to put water under their paddles.
From the parking lot, there are several short trails leading to a handful of campsites. Most have make-shift fire rings left behind by past campers. Leave no trace principles apply here!
Be sure to check out the magnificent rapid that is Woodall Shoals! The rapid and surrounding rocks shaped by the river's current are jaw-dropping! Some spots are ok for swimming, but use precaution. For any river lovers, Woodall is a dream. Definitely a favorite spot of mine!

its a wonderful campground that overlooks the lake. the recreation area and camping areas are very near each other. the sites are not secluded, so it's a friendly atmosphere! great for families and social campers!

Great remote, primitive campsite right beside a river. This campsite is perfect for someone looking for a cheap, quiet camping expereince with not too many ammenities. A 5 minute walk down a gravel road leads you to several campsites so it is not completly drive in but you do not need to backpack your gear in. All the tentsites are first-come first -serve and there are only a few so get there early.
