Come join us at this unforgettable camping spot at Historic Castleberry Bridge where the Gold Rush happened, the Indian fish trap still exist, the birth place of Denver Colorado and the hideout of Jesse James just some of the history that happened at your campsite on the Etowah River. Our motto is "Thanks for keeping it clean," so help us spread the word and keep it true!
Look for the gate at 851 Castleberry Bridge Rd (right where the bridge crosses the river) and drive through the gate and George (owner) should be there. He will open the second gate for you where you will be able to drive through and park at your site - weather permitting. To the left of the first gate is the community area with toilet, grills, picnic tables, etc. Remember, your phone might not work near the river. There's so much fun waiting for you to explore! Tubes are available for a $5 charge per day. If you're feeling extra adventurous, there are rope swings that let you swing over the river, and there are super cool places to splash around and swim, part of which, is in the Indian Fish Trap.
When your tummy starts rumbling, don't worry. We've got you covered with grills in the community area where you can cook delicious food. So you can have a tasty meal with the sound of the river flowing in the background. Also we are within 5-10 minutes to stores, restaurant , etc.
But wait, there's more excitement! If you're looking for an even bigger adventure, this is the perfect spot to begin an awesome kayaking trip if you brought your kayak. Castleberry Bridge is where people from all over the country come to experience going through the Miner's Tunnel.

I wonder if when standing on the sprawling in upstate South Carolina, just a short hour trip from Greenville, Ed and Kitty Land heard a small still voice say, “if you build it, they will come.” While there isn't a baseball field on the property, that's about all that is lacking. Chattooga Belle Farm began as an event building set on acres with a small seasonal retail store. Soon people found their way to the soon-to-be full-fledged farm and they felt it; that feeling that you've found a very special place. Peaceful, majestic and unlike any other, Chattooga Belle Farm is quite possibly the perfect place for any event and most certainly an ideal place to pledge your heart and life to another.
Since the Lands opened their doors in 2010 they have come. There have been families, couples, groups, the media and fruit pickers who have all visited the farm; and they return year after year. Having been written up countless times across the southeast, US and more recently featured on The Today Show, the farm just keeps growing and getting better. With a history of growing sweet juicy apples, the soil in this part of the world has proven to be excellent for peaches, muscadines, scuppernongs, and blueberries. The farm also grows exotic fruits like persimmons, paw paws, Asian pears, figs, and more!
The landscape is picturesque and the mountain views are truly breathtaking in every direction. The farm hosts farm to table dinners that sell out year after year. Their U-Pick fruit opportunities evolve throughout the season with something always coming in from early summer through fall. A list of available fruit is updated often on their website, upcoming events and information about cabin rentals on Horseshoe Lake.
The recent addition of a distillery on the farm means the fruit is grown, fermented, distilled and bottled on the farm. The distillery is open year round Monday – Saturday. ged in oak barrels and aged to produce some of the finest liquors made in these mountains.
The farm store is complete with fresh produce (in season), canned jams, jellies and bottled ciders. Grass-fed, natural, antibiotic-free Black Angus beef is sold in the store. The cattle are raised on pasture which produces some of the healthiest beef you can buy. Using only natural, humane and environmentally sustainable practices, the Lands and their staff raise beef as nature intended. Bringing the best to your family has never been easier.
Belle's Bistro at Chattooga Belle Farm serves salads, sandwiches, burgers and soups made with the freshest ingredients possible. The bistro is open for lunch Tuesday – Sunday from April – October. Their menu includes Certified South Carolina Grown food which makes for an outstanding menu, also which can be viewed on chattoogabellefarm.com.
When it comes to weddings, Chattooga Belle Farm has it all! With all-inclusive packages that offer rental items, catering, a wedding coordinator, photographer, flowers, music, bar service and even the wedding cake. A few features about our property:
- Working farm: Campers are welcome to meet our Icelandic sheep and take a self-guided tour of our farm, along designated pathways.
- Security: The campground and farm are fenced in on three sides with the river being the fourth boundary. Personal code to the entrance gate will be given at check in.
- Bath House: The restored bathhouse is split into boys’ and girls’ sides. Each side has 2 private showers, 4 flushing toilets, sinks, hot water, and gas heat.
- Community Pavilion: The Pavilion is a large 40x30 ft. open sided structure overlooking the Nantahala River. It has an ample fireplace, running water sink, counter space, couches, and table with benches.
- Pack Room: Where the adventure begins! A cozy hub where all guests get local information, view maps, and grab some local seasonal groceries. Also available to all campers are washing sinks with hot water, toaster oven and microwave.
- Communication: Or rather, lack thereof! There's no cell service on the property so it's a great time to get away from it all. There is limited Wi-Fi available near the Pack Room and an emergency landline available.
- Charging: Traveling in an electric vehicle? Recharge for free at our dedicated EV 50amp outlet when you stay at any of our sites. First come, first served.

Coweeta Creek Campground is a charming small "boutique" campground nestled along Coweeta Creek in the heart of an Otto rural neighborhood. Each RV site is gravel, shaded, and sits along the peaceful Coweeta Creek. The campground property has a large field for games (kickball, soccer, volleyball), as well as a flat 1/4 mile loop which you can view our mini homestead farm. We have chickens (currently no rooster), bees, vegetable gardens, and a small fruit orchard. Turkey Foot Trail is a 1/2 mile trail that takes you through the wooded area to the peak of the property.
The campground is only 15 minutes from Franklin, NC and 20 minutes from Clayton, GA with plenty of shopping/restaurants. Once you are at the campground you won't want to leave the beauty of the creek!
Strong Wifi is available at all sites. Network password will be provided before arrival.
Property History: Coweeta Creek Campground WAS a 20 site, thriving, family/church oriented campground from the 1970's that was later sold, then neglected. My family purchased in 2022 and opened a few camping sites for a more family friendly, intimate setting.

Located near the intersection of US-129 and US-19/74, the property borders the Nantahala National Forest and serves as the perfect basecamp for exploring Western North Carolina. Despite its secluded setting, you’re just 8 minutes from the Nantahala River put-in and conveniently located between Robbinsville, Bryson City, Andrews, Murphy, and Wesser. The world-famous Tail of the Dragon is nearby, along with opportunities for hiking, rafting, kayaking, fishing, scenic drives, and outdoor adventure.
A mountain creek flows about 500 feet beyond the property boundary on National Forest land, adding to the peaceful setting.
Upon arrival, you’ll find a private gravel parking and camping area suitable for tents, camper vans, rooftop tents, and small trailers(sub 13 foot). The site works well for very small travel trailers, teardrops, and Class B camper vans. Large RVs, fifth wheels, and Class A motorhomes are not recommended.
A moldering compost privy is conveniently located between the gravel camping area and the start of the trail.
A private quarter-mile trail climbs approximately 260 feet through the forest to a spectacular ridge-top overlook. At the summit, you’ll enjoy breathtaking 270-degree panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It’s the perfect place to watch sunrise, sunset, meteor showers, and the Milky Way overhead.
The property sits within one of the darkest sky regions in the Southeast, making it ideal for stargazing and astrophotography. On clear nights, thousands of stars fill the sky.
Guests may camp in the gravel area, near the trailhead, or at the summit overlook. Regardless of where you choose to set up camp, the entire property is reserved exclusively for your group.

We are a 125 acre property that has 36 holes of championship disc golf. The North Oconee River runs through our property as well as three ponds throughout. We have plenty of room to pitch your tents. It really depends on how far you would like to be from the bathhouse. We are 6 miles from Lake Lanier and the Chattahooce River, and a short drive to hiking/mountain biking trail heads.
We have a wonderful bathhouse with restrooms, showers and laundry just a very short walk from our sites (maintained by the staff at the park).
We're also pet-friendly and love our furry campers! Just add the pet fee for each pet in the extras section at check out or send us an email letting us know ahead of time and we will get that added. We just ask that you do not leave your pet alone in the tents at any time unless properly crated. You are financially responsible for any damage that is done to our accommodations by your pets.

7.5 mi- Courthouse Falls. 45 ft. waterfall that plunges into a deep pool. Perfect spot for a dip on a hot summer’s afternoon. Ten minute fairly easy hike from trailhead.
7.7 mi- Paradise Falls Trailhead. One of the best secret swimming holes! A magnificent oasis. Challenging & steep hike, but worth it.
11 mi- Upper Dill Falls & Lower Dill Falls. 50 ft. Waterfall (lower) with just a short easy hike. Upper Dill falls is beautiful and tucked into a lush cove.
7.9 mi- Wolf Creek Lake. Better known to the locals as Wolf Lake, this 183 acre high elevation lake offers spectacular scenery & great swimming, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding.

Private end of road property in the Cowee Valley of Franklin NC, which is the first resupply stop along the Appalachian Trail through the Smoky Mountains. Cowee Valley is a gorgeous scenic valley with farmland and winding roads and mountains on all sides. Idyllic drive in with plenty of cows grazing, deer and wild turkey running around and amazing sunsets.
Cowee Campground has newly been made into a campground, previously undeveloped. We have left most of it undisturbed to maintain the natural and peaceful nature vibes. This land is a short distance off the main roads and small/private. All tent sites are in the shaded forest and RV hookups are just a few steps away with hardwoods filling out and providing partial shade. It's a quiet area with the sounds of nature and leaves rustling. We hope you'll appreciate and enjoy the beauty and tranquility as much as we do. If you want to car/truck camp without hookups we have space for that too. Just let us know.
We have a beautiful 4 bathroom bathhouse, with ADA shower and another bathroom with clawfoot tub/shower and private back deck. 2 large firepits with Andirondack chairs and a separate picnic table and grill area. There is a large communal Yoga/Event deck and covered Bar/Hangout area beneath - hammock, bar top, darts and it's own firepit as well. Plus Corn hole and Horseshoe pits for your enjoyment. We've just added 2 treehouses with swings, rope climb, pull-up bar, trx, cargo net and hammock - extra fun and exercise for all.
For weekly or monthly RV reservations, please contact 828-371-8471. Weekly RV rates are $325.00 and Monthly are $750.00 Also available for Retreat or Event rental.

Tanya’s campsite was beautiful and had everything you needed to have a great camping trip! Very peaceful and especially loved the views from the pasture, we stayed at site 10 and had plenty of room to accommodate us, set up our hammocks and enjoyed the cows grazing! The bathhouse was excellent and was very nice to have after a long day of camping. Tanya was an amazing host, beyond accommodating and helped us with any questions we needed answered! We throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again!

We had a wonderful time camping. The host gave us all of the information we needed before the trip. We stayed at the lower site and it was perfect for our two larger tents and tables. We took the hike up to the summit and WOW what a wonderful view! We will definitely return!!

Campsite was a good size - not packed in on one another. It was so relaxing getting up in the morning and listening to the creek. Saw lots of birds, and the chickens were very friendly and polite.
Melissa was very helpful, responsive, and non intrusive. A perfect host. We highly recommend.

This was our second visit to Hidden Acres Camping and it was excellent once again! The campsites are spaced far enough apart for quality privacy. The thoughtful touches like the dish soap, strainer, and dish tub are thoroughly appreciated. And, the fact that it's away from everything else makes it that much better!

Beautiful, serene campsite! We hiked up to the upper campsite but did not camp up there as we were taking my 5 month old on her first camping trip and it was definitely a steep climb but had beautiful views! The privy was very clean. The only thing that would be helpful is if there was a way to have a trash service or trashcan that could be used because we had to drive 30 minutes with our trash before there was a place to drop off. Would definitely stay here again!

I loved tent camping on Melissa's land. She was very kind and welcoming. There was plenty of space in between sites which was nice. It's right on the creek and the water was nice to get into. There are neighbors on the other side of the creek but far enough that you don't notice. Oh and the farm fresh eggs are delicious!

We loved camping on Georgianna's property. She has thought of everything to make the stay comfortable, from path and string lights to soap dispensers and a super clean bathroom. The creek access with the deck that is linked to the camp site was really awesome. We would love to come back. Bonus, really cute chickens nearby!

We had a fantastic time at Castleberry Bridge! We stayed on Sites 4 & 5 and it was perfect for our group and our pups. Just a short walk to the bathrooms and right on the river. The sites were very clean and well maintained and the firewood every afternoon was a really nice touch! Thank you so much and we will be returning!

Truly gorgeous area! The drive there is beautiful and a lot of fun. Yurts/cabins are a bit closer than expected but not a problem at all! Staff were kind and the yurt was clean and well kept. 100% would visit again.

We loved tent camping at Castleberry Bridge! We booked last minute as our 4 year old son kept bugging us to go camping. Next thing you know, our son and George are besties and he woke up both mornings asking for Mr. George. He treated us like family. George and Gini have done a tremendous job in cleaning up this area of the river. As well making this a family friendly spot but also room for those without children. It was a fun, communal type feel. The slides into the water, the baby swing and park slides beach side, tubes available throughout the day (extra charge), life jackets all throughout, high chairs built into the picnic tables, campfires pre made by George so you had one less thing to think about after the fun day were all perks! He even made sure we were prepared for the rain that came through via text and showing up on site. For families looking to start camping, this place is it! We can’t wait to go back!
