Come join us at this unforgettable camping spot at Historic Castleberry Bridge where the Gold Rush happened, the Indian fish trap still exist, the birth place of Denver Colorado and the hideout of Jesse James just some of the history that happened at your campsite on the Etowah River. Our motto is "Thanks for keeping it clean," so help us spread the word and keep it true!
Look for the gate at Castleberry Bridge Rd (right where the bridge crosses the river) and drive through the gate and left and George (owner) should be there. He will open the second gate for you where you will be able to drive through and park at your site - weather permitting. To the left of the first gate is the community area with toilet, grills, picnic tables, etc. Remember, your phone might not work near the river. If you need help, you might have to go back up to the road to call us. George (the owner) is there most every day and all day.
There's so much fun waiting for you to explore! Tubes are available for a $10 charge per day. If you're feeling extra adventurous, there are rope swings that let you swing over the river, and there are super cool places to splash around and swim, part of which, is in the Indian Fish Trap.
When your tummy starts rumbling, don't worry. We've got you covered with grills in the community area where you can cook delicious food. So you can have a tasty meal with the sound of the river flowing in the background. Also we are within 5-10 minutes to stores, restaurant , etc.
But wait, there's more excitement! If you're looking for an even bigger adventure, this is the perfect spot to begin an awesome kayaking trip if you brought your kayak. Castleberry Bridge is where people from all over the country come to experience going through the Miner's Tunnel.
So whether you want to float, swing, swim, or paddle, Castleberry Bridge is the place to be for all kinds of outdoor fun!

I wonder if when standing on the sprawling in upstate South Carolina, just a short hour trip from Greenville, Ed and Kitty Land heard a small still voice say, “if you build it, they will come.” While there isn't a baseball field on the property, that's about all that is lacking. Chattooga Belle Farm began as an event building set on acres with a small seasonal retail store. Soon people found their way to the soon-to-be full-fledged farm and they felt it; that feeling that you've found a very special place. Peaceful, majestic and unlike any other, Chattooga Belle Farm is quite possibly the perfect place for any event and most certainly an ideal place to pledge your heart and life to another.
Since the Lands opened their doors in 2010 they have come. There have been families, couples, groups, the media and fruit pickers who have all visited the farm; and they return year after year. Having been written up countless times across the southeast, US and more recently featured on The Today Show, the farm just keeps growing and getting better. With a history of growing sweet juicy apples, the soil in this part of the world has proven to be excellent for peaches, muscadines, scuppernongs, and blueberries. The farm also grows exotic fruits like persimmons, paw paws, Asian pears, figs, and more!
The landscape is picturesque and the mountain views are truly breathtaking in every direction. The farm hosts farm to table dinners that sell out year after year. Their U-Pick fruit opportunities evolve throughout the season with something always coming in from early summer through fall. A list of available fruit is updated often on their website, upcoming events and information about cabin rentals on Horseshoe Lake.
The recent addition of a distillery on the farm means the fruit is grown, fermented, distilled and bottled on the farm. The distillery is open year round Monday – Saturday. ged in oak barrels and aged to produce some of the finest liquors made in these mountains.
The farm store is complete with fresh produce (in season), canned jams, jellies and bottled ciders. Grass-fed, natural, antibiotic-free Black Angus beef is sold in the store. The cattle are raised on pasture which produces some of the healthiest beef you can buy. Using only natural, humane and environmentally sustainable practices, the Lands and their staff raise beef as nature intended. Bringing the best to your family has never been easier.
Belle's Bistro at Chattooga Belle Farm serves salads, sandwiches, burgers and soups made with the freshest ingredients possible. The bistro is open for lunch Tuesday – Sunday from April – October. Their menu includes Certified South Carolina Grown food which makes for an outstanding menu, also which can be viewed on chattoogabellefarm.com.
When it comes to weddings, Chattooga Belle Farm has it all! With all-inclusive packages that offer rental items, catering, a wedding coordinator, photographer, flowers, music, bar service and even the wedding cake. We are a 125 acre property that has 36 holes of championship disc golf. The North Oconee River runs through our property as well as three ponds throughout. We have plenty of room to pitch your tents. It really depends on how far you would like to be from the bathhouse. We are 6 miles from Lake Lanier and the Chattahooce River, and a short drive to hiking/mountain biking trail heads.
We have a wonderful bathhouse with restrooms, showers and laundry just a very short walk from our sites (maintained by the staff at the park).
We're also pet-friendly and love our furry campers! Just add the pet fee for each pet in the extras section at check out or send us an email letting us know ahead of time and we will get that added. We just ask that you do not leave your pet alone in the tents at any time unless properly crated. You are financially responsible for any damage that is done to our accommodations by your pets.

Coweeta Creek Campground is a charming small "boutique" campground nestled along Coweeta Creek in the heart of an Otto rural neighborhood. Each RV site is gravel, shaded, and sits along the peaceful Coweeta Creek. The campground property has a large field for games (kickball, soccer, volleyball), as well as a flat 1/4 mile loop which you can view our mini homestead farm. We have chickens (currently no rooster), bees, vegetable gardens, and a small fruit orchard. Turkey Foot Trail is a 1/2 mile trail that takes you through the wooded area to the peak of the property.
The campground is only 15 minutes from Franklin, NC and 20 minutes from Clayton, GA with plenty of shopping/restaurants. Once you are at the campground you won't want to leave the beauty of the creek!
Strong Wifi is available at all sites. Network password will be provided before arrival.
Property History: Coweeta Creek Campground WAS a 20 site, thriving, family/church oriented campground from the 1970's that was later sold, then neglected. My family purchased in 2022 and opened a few camping sites for a more family friendly, intimate setting.

- Bath House: The restored bathhouse is split into boys’ and girls’ sides. Each side has 2 private showers, 4 flushing toilets, sinks, hot water, and gas heat.
- Community Pavilion: The Pavilion is a large 40x30 ft. open sided structure overlooking the Nantahala River. It has an ample fireplace, running water sink, counter space, couches, and table with benches.
- Pack Room: Where the adventure begins! A cozy hub where all guests get local information, view maps, and grab some local seasonal groceries. Also available to all campers are washing sinks with hot water, toaster oven and microwave.
- Communication: Or rather, lack thereof! There's no cell service on the property so it's a great time to get away from it all. There is limited Wi-Fi available near the Pack Room and an emergency landline available.

Heavily wooded area. Some sites are more level than others. There is no water or electric to these sites and the campground bath house is about 200 feet away. All sites have a firepit and a simple log bench. The sites that are not fairly level for tenting have grommets installed on trees to hang hammocks. All five primitive sites are isolated from the glamping tents on the property. There are no vehicles allowed in the camping areas.

Located in the heart of the Pisgah National and Nantahala Forests, the Balsam Grove community is known for its secluded trails & waterfalls. There are a plethora of activities to do in the nearby surrounding area. Explore in adventures like hiking, cycling, mountain biking, canoeing, tubing, fly-fishing & kayaking. Transylvania county is also known as “The Land of Waterfalls”, where you’ll find over 250 spectacular cascades & cataracts.
Just 9 miles away, take in a day of scenic beauty up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. You’ll discover amazing long-range views of the Appalachian Mountain Range, stunning waterfalls, fields of wildflowers & trails, over-looks & elevations that reach more than 5,000 feet. Depending on the time of year you are visiting, you can catch a floral show as the seasons change. Afternoon picnics and sunsets on the Parkway are highly recommended as well as star gazing on a clear night is indubitably hypnotizing & will leave you awestruck!!
A few nearby waterfalls under a 15 minute drive from campsite:
3.7 mi- Living Waters. Three easy waterfalls all within a short walk. French Broad Falls, Mill Shoals Falls, & Bird Rock Falls.
7.5 mi- Courthouse Falls. 45 ft. waterfall that plunges into a deep pool. Perfect spot for a dip on a hot summer’s afternoon. Ten minute fairly easy hike from trailhead.
7.7 mi- Paradise Falls Trailhead. One of the best secret swimming holes! A magnificent oasis. Challenging & steep hike, but worth it.
11 mi- Upper Dill Falls & Lower Dill Falls. 50 ft. Waterfall (lower) with just a short easy hike. Upper Dill falls is beautiful and tucked into a lush cove.
7.9 mi- Wolf Creek Lake. Better known to the locals as Wolf Lake, this 183 acre high elevation lake offers spectacular scenery & great swimming, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding.

FREE FIREWOOD FOR LIMITED TIME: I have more split oak firewood than I know what to do with. While it lasts, campers can take as much as they need for free. The wood is piled at the site.
Our homestead is home to our family, chickens, and a livestock guardian dog.
Most of our 12+ acres are wooded and our property backs up to thousands of acres of public forest land owned by Clemson University. A trail connects our backyard to the main network of hiking/mountain biking trails in Clemson Forest. For those familiar with the forest, our property is in the vicinity of Wildcat Technical, Wounded Road, and Chainbreaker trails.
As private and wooded as our property is, we are only 10-15 minutes from downtown Clemson and less than 10 minutes from the small towns of Central and Six Mile. Lakes Hartwell and Keowee are also short drives.
We currently offer a single campsite, which can accommodate several tents or a camper van. Our campsite features a composting toilet outhouse, and water is available from spigots at our house if needed. Though fairly close to our house, the campsite has a very private feel due to being completely surrounded by a hardwood forest.

Oh wow!!!! What a GEM!!!! We actually lived real close to this Hipcamp property and had no idea there were views like this! Franklin is lucky to have such a nice property to camp on. There are port-o-jons near each campsite. I didn’t use them but my friend did and said they were extremely clean. This site fit both of our vehicles and her tent. The platform is awesome. The view is incredible. There is a grill, fire extinguisher, hose, garbage bags and a fire pit ring at the site. Damien is very communicative. The directions are probably thee clearest ones I’ve ever seen on Hipcamp. I look forward to going again!!!

Great location, super responsive and really nice host & on-site manager/maintenance, super clean and well kept, beautiful scenery, very quiet and private campsite (we stayed at campsite 10), and nice accommodations. Fire pit area, charcoal grill (utensils were in the grill for use), & water spigot, deck for the tent. We were surrounded by nature and made great memories with the kiddos!

This was an amazing place we were so pleased with finding it, a little sad we only booked it for one night, but we will be coming back! Hands down the best camping/glamping I have experienced. Every detail is attended to right down to a heated toilet seat. They truly have a little slice of heaven and we are great full they have shared it with us. 40 years of camping in 45 states and this one makes my top 10 for sure!

Weekend Trip to Destination Outdoors! DO IT!
We arrived at little late and tired. Matt was wonderful, got us all squared away. The light was on, it was so welcoming and cozy. We hiked down to the river and fished. Grilled steaks, watch the sunset glow thru the trees. The yurt was so cool. I loved that we chose this place over a hotel. Best Glamping with a river, disk golf course to the river, hammocks in cool spots on the property. The beautiful hike and so peaceful. Great camping bathroom with a big shower. Great host, provisions, instructions were great, comfortable space, great parking.Nice way to unplug and be relaxed. Can't wait to visit again

Beautiful stars and the Milky Way at night then waking up to the sound of the creek is already pretty wonderful. But it’s also clear that a lot of love and attention is being put into this place. Highly recommend as either family camping weekend or an easy overnight when traveling between Atlanta and Asheville.

Our experience here was wonderful! Our daughter learned to ride her bike in this gorgeous spot, after which we made smores and hung out in the hot tub stargazing. This spot and cultivated area were magical for our little family and we are so grateful for the time away here. Highly recommend!

This location was perfect in every way. Clean facilities, picnic tables, fire ring, incredibly private, large sights, quiet, peaceful, and dog friendly. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The sounds of the creek were amazing at all times of the day and night and the water was beautiful. My dog was in total heaven here as well. I can't wait to return actually.

We loved camping at the lakeside camping deck! The view was absolutely beautiful, especially during sunrise in the mornings. There was a full moon this weekend and we had a front row seat to as well. The distillery, u pick fruits, farm store, and local hiking trails were all wonderful as well. We enjoyed cooking meals together over the campfire and enjoyed pizza from a local place nearby. We will definitely return!

I had a great time. I found a nice place to set up the tent close to the pole barn, I like my coffee in the morning and didn't want to waste time getting it so I opted for the use of the electricity. The ducks were fun, I think they thought they were dogs. I was impressed by how well maintained the property was and was completely comfortable walking around. I really enjoyed walking on the grass barefoot and the mosquitoes really weren't that bad. I went for peace and quiet and that is exactly what I got. Coffee and quiet.
