Camp site was clean. We were able to get down to the site pretty easy. Host put out flowers on our picnic table which was really kind. They had a variety of tools for the fire pit which was also very convenient.

We had such a wonderful stay at this Hipcamp spot! The location was incredibly convenient—easy to get to, yet it still felt like a peaceful little escape. It’s also just a short drive to the botanical gardens at Clemson University, which made for a perfect daytime outing.
The campsite itself was absolutely beautiful and very private, which we really appreciated. You can tell the host puts a lot of care into the space—they even left fresh flowers and rosemary for us, which was such a thoughtful and welcoming touch.
One of our favorite parts was spending time by the pond, where dragonflies were everywhere—it felt almost magical. In the evenings, the frogs put on a chorus that made the whole place feel even more serene. We were lucky enough to spot a luna moth and even saw some turkeys wandering through, which made the experience feel extra special.
If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic, and well-cared-for place to relax and enjoy nature, this spot is truly a gem. We would absolutely stay here again!

Don and Stephanie are amazing hosts. Kept up with updates and were there to answer any questions we had. The site was all set up when we arrived, even fresh flowers on the picnic table. Such a great way to feel invited and welcome. Having the option to pay for ready to go firewood was also a wonderful experience. We have a family of six, 2 under 5 and this was very helpful. You can see Don and Stephanie take care of the camping area, it was very clean and even had a grate for cooking on fire. They also provided shovel and sand to put it out. Definitely made things easier and more relaxing to take in the nature around. We hope to visit Don and Stephanie's place soon.

Great environment and a very private location! There is a potential that this location may not be as private in the future due to some construction being done just on the other side of the pond. Until that is complete however it is an amazing location!!

Don and Stephanie‘s place was amazing. It was so secluded and peaceful right next to a peaceful little pond and nothing but the sounds of nature. When we arrived, Don greeted us just to say hi and told us if we needed anything to holler, but we basically had the site to ourselves. There was everything we needed, including a grate for cooking over the fire and sand to smother it with. It was actually my birthday weekend and when we arrived at the site, there were beautiful flowers, waiting for us on the picnic table such a thoughtful touch. Absolutely would come here again.

Really nice tent camping spot! Beautiful water to view sunrise and sunset from the site. Very calm and quiet. Lots of nature activity (my favorite being toads of all sizes). 🐸 Trees for hammocks as needed, and easy to bring stuff in and out of the car with parking right by the site. Even my little 2014 Kia Rio made it up and down the path, but I will say had it been any muddier from rain my car might have struggled a little, so know your car well if you don’t have 4WD. Very clean site with all the amenities, from picnic table to fire ring to fresh cut flowers! Will return for more fun.

I stayed at Scotland Pond while competing at an agility event in Pendleton. I loved it and would stay again. The site is exactly as advertised with a table, campfire ring, and is a cute little primitive camp. I even had flowers left on the table as a welcome. I mainly was there in the evening and it was very peaceful and beautiful despite the somewhat overcast weather. Very quiet, with only rare road noise. Nice area for parking. I car camped and brought in my own water, camp toilet, etc, but the site was perfect for my needs. The hosts were extremely responsive to messaging and very welcoming.

Great spot to camp! Shaded area with several choice spots for tents. You can fish pond from the bank, but better access from a kayak. The fire pit and picnic table were nice to use. A low riding car may have a difficult time driving down to pond. We didn’t have any issues in jeep and truck.

Perfect little spot for a getaway. Nice and secluded in the woods with the cute little pond beside. Our dogs loved running around and they even had flowers on the table for us! Can’t wait to go back :)

I loved the fishing and camping and the kids loved swimming. The rest of the family loved the fire pit and picnic area. We really enjoyed ourselves. We really don't have anything negative to say except the parking area is difficult to maneuver, especially if you're not an experienced driver( my teenager lol)

Great quiet spot so close to Greenville! Nice and private with a nice fire ring. Option to add firewood was a nice perk and worth the money and the host even had some cute flowers on the table when we arrived!

I loved it! My dogs had a blast playing around the pond and in the woods. Between the frogs and all the birds there was constant music. The pond was full of fish jumping and turtles sunbathing. Natures medley was so relaxing! I did not want to leave and plan to enjoy Scotland pond again.

I just stayed for the third time and it's still great. The drive down to the site might be a challenge for 2 wheel drive/low sitting cars (especially after raining) but they have a spot you can park and walk down. Hosts are friendly and respect your privacy. The area has lots of trees for shade. It's quiet for the most part. You might hear some vehicles or dogs barking from across the pond, but nothing that is bothersome. Very peaceful and clean. It feels secluded but it's close enough to Easley that you can run into town for supplies or to grab some food. I'll definitely be back for a fourth trip.

Relaxing, peaceful and private.
My wife and I loved the entire trip. It rained most of the time. However the tree canopy was great when the rain was light.
I highly recommend!
We loved sleeping to the rain or the frogs. Both were nice.
We will be back.
We saw a fish in the lake that had to be over 3 foot long. (Unknown what kind)
Lots of birds and one cat that was doing a great job hunting around the lake.

I loved this place!! It's on a pond with the geese playing in the water and the fire pit right next to it. Sitting next to the fire watching the birds play in the water and my dog run free was pure heaven for me. Don and Stephanie are super hosts. They really cared about my stay there. I definitely want to go back again!

We had a wonderful time camping here. It felt like we were hours away from town—in the best way. Very secluded, peaceful, and well maintained. The owners have done a great job setting up the site by the pond. There’s a fire ring, picnic table, plenty of shade, and spots to hang hammocks. Our dogs were highly entertained by the geese in the pond. Totally recommend and we’ll definitely be back.

loved it! shovels and cooking grate were provided which was a nice addition. the pond is beautiful and overall the campsite was very spacious. we slept in our cars but could have easily fit multiple tents if we had wanted to!

This place was perfect! Easy to get to and we'll taken care of. We paid for firewood and it was a generous amount that was there on site when we got there. Spoke to the host on the way out and he was very friendly! I would totally recommend. They was some construction going on adjacent to the site, but it wasn't too disruptive.

Cool spot. Some big old bullfrog in that lake. Lots of.wildlife. heard a pack of coyotes pups having a puppy party so if you have a 100 pound german shepherd like i do and nobody has ever explained the "puppy party" it's nowhere near as fun as it sounds so do not let your dog attend🤣 we went to bed around the time Kaiser got his invitation to become one less threat to that packs food supply🤣🤣🤣

We loved the location! It was a hidden gem that was perfect for our visit. Easy to set up the tent and hammock with parking right next to the location for easy access. We needed a spot that was private where our three dogs could roam off leash and this was just that! We paid a small additional fee to use the kayaks and to have firewood ready for us. The fire pit had a grate for our cast iron. We will definitely consider coming back here!
