FREE FIREWOOD FOR LIMITED TIME: I have more split oak firewood than I know what to do with. While it lasts, campers can take as much as they need for free. The wood is piled at the site.
Our homestead is home to our family, chickens, and a livestock guardian dog.
We also have a small orchard and a garden.
Most of our 12+ acres are wooded and our property backs up to thousands of acres of public forest land owned by Clemson University. A trail connects our backyard to the main network of hiking/mountain biking trails in Clemson Forest. For those familiar with the forest, our property is in the vicinity of Wildcat Technical, Wounded Road, and Chainbreaker trails.
As private and wooded as our property is, we are only 10-15 minutes from downtown Clemson and less than 10 minutes from the small towns of Central and Six Mile. Lakes Hartwell and Keowee are also short drives.
We currently offer a single campsite, which can accommodate several tents or a camper van. Our campsite features a composting toilet outhouse, and water is available from spigots at our house. Though fairly close to our house, the campsite has a very private feel due to being completely surrounded by a hardwood forest.

We are only 1/2 a mile from the Interstate 85. So bring your tents, campers or your small RV and come and setup down by the babbling Neal creek, or rent our private covered camper located on the horse farm. Build a nice fire in the fire pits. The firewood is provided, just bring your fire starter.
The Neal Creek campsites are semi-wooded areas with plenty of shade. They are very large private, peaceful and quiet sites.
The Back Forty Camping is semi-wooded area with plenty of privacy!
View the stars at night, relax during the day or if you are into biking or hiking, go to the Overmountain Victory trail located about 15 minutes away and enjoy the 6.7 mile loop around Lake Whelchel right off I-85.

Choose a tent camp location or pull/drive your RV/camper right near our cow pasture and watch the cows graze. Fresh drinking water at campsites. Bathroom and heated shower. Pick wild blackberries in early summer and wild grapes in late summer early fall, and we may share some of our home made jellies with you. We welcome family groups year round. At night enjoy the sounds of wildlife while watching the highly visible twinkling stars and tracing the many constellations and if lucky see a shooting star or two.

The site was exactly what we were looking for. It's nice and quiet and there are cows near the campsite, which is super fun!
Three warnings:
1) The campsites are very close to each other, so if you're looking for privacy, this is probably not the place for you.
2) The road to drive to the campsites had quite a few large, deep potholes. We were driving and SUV, but I don't know if a sedan would survive.
3) The original code we were given to enter the gate was incorrect, but Linda picked up the phone right away to give us the correct one. Maybe just double check the code before arriving if you do decide to book.

Recently moved here permanently I am a person who is an avid Outdoorsman Hunter and fisherman. It felt like I stepped back in time when I entered the gate to your property.
