Nice, wooded area with plenty of space. Loved the proximity to Clemson and the trails through the Experimental Forest. Ursa is very sweet! Great spot

Heather and Hudson were so hospitable! The campsite was not too far from the house but still felt private. Very close to biking trails and places to take paddle boards/ kayaks. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Excellent camp site! Has a great setup with a fire pit & table. Easy access & great hiking trails nearby. The host was very friendly & helpful! Their dog Ursa is great, 10/10 would pet again. I would’ve paid extra just to have more time with her as my camping buddy. :) Definitely recommend! :)

A foragers dream camp!
Absolutely loved staying here! Campsite has all you need, the outhouse was clean & well-stocked, the eggs were incredible, and our hosts were very kind. For any foragers out there, we found reishi & bicolor boletes within the first 5 minutes at camp, and then chanterelles & chicken of the woods on the trail to Wildcat Falls. It’s a fantastic area for fungi!!

Just a peaceful spot in the woods away from it all. Trails on property. Natural forest pond with frogs. We loved it. The golden retriever was like a spirit guide. Off to the side giving off good vibes

Hudson & Heather's camp site was awesome and just as advertised.T hey are wonderfully responsive hosts. We loved having visits from Ursa, the dog! You can hear the sounds of chickens, children playing, and sounds of the forest - all wonderful stuff. We hiked into the Clemson Experimental Forest from their property and had a great hike. We definitely plan to stay there again for more hiking.

Quiet Camping at Wildcat Outpost
Just a short, scenic drive from Clemson University, and Twelve Mile Recreation Area, Wild Cat Outpost is perfectly situated for relaxation or adventure.
Peaceful and enjoyable describes our stay at Wild Cat Outpost. Our kind hosts, Heather and Hudson warmly welcomed my husband and I upon our late, nighttime arrival, and made us feel right at home.
During our short stay at Wild Cat Outpost, we camped in the quiet seclusion of the forest. The camping plot was well-maintained and offered acres of wooded privacy. Equipped with a fire ring, outdoor charcoal grill, and exceptionally clean outhouse, this Hipcamp offered everything my husband and I could possibly need for an enjoyable camping experience.
The next morning, after having had a quiet night’s sleep in our tent, my husband and I were ready to explore the grounds of Wild Cat Outpost.
Heather, and her lovely family, generously walked us around the property. They showed us their garden, chickens, and the elaborate and expansive Clemson trail system directly accessible from their property. If you enjoy walking in the woods, or trail-running, this place is for you!
Thank you for sharing your Hipcamp with us, Heather and Hudson. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Wild Cat Outpost, and deeply appreciate your genuine hospitality.

Quiet, peaceful place to get away for a weekend. The trails nearby (hike from the site) were perfect to get further into the woods. We enjoyed sitting by the fire, and relaxing.

Endless Forest was just that! Trees everywhere, all kinds of hiking trails was an added bonus. Heather was a sweetheart and made sure I had everything I needed both days. And their beautiful dog ursa came down to visit quite a bit. She is a very friendly dog and wants to protect her property. There is plenty of firewood on the ground if you wanna gather it yourself, and they also sell split firewood. The site itself is very private, you can see the house from the campsite but that is not a problem. Only complaint would be the site is not real level, if that doesn’t bother you then this is a place for you!

Beautiful piece of land. Have the feel like you are way out in the country but are actually not far from most things. Had a wonderful time.

What a gem! We enjoyed our little spot in the forest even though all we did was sleep there. It’s a perfect spot for us on Clemson game day weekends. And of course we loved Ursa visiting us & the amazing eggs. Next time we’ll do some hiking.

Great Campsite — Highly Recommend!
This site was great! Loved the exclusivity and large fire pit. We had a lovely visit from their farm dog, she’s a sweetie and not at all a bother. There is also an option to purchase some of their farm fresh eggs! A very beautiful, peaceful place to stay. We were fortunate to find it.

I had the most wonderful time staying here. Nice downpour on my 1st night but stayed bone dry. They were very responsive when I had questions.

The Perfect Spot
This site was just perfect! Hudson and Heather were kind and accommodating hosts, and the property was a whimsical farm scene that created the best environment for a weekend away. We drove right up to campsite, and had easy access to water, and enjoyed the grill and a trail that led to nearby Wildcat Falls onsite. 35 minutes from Lake Jocassee, this is a perfect spot for those who are wanting to spend time there but could not obtain a campsite within the park.

Amazing time at Endless Forest
My family and I had an awesome time at this campsite. Heather and Hudson were extremely amazing hosts and the site itself was great. We enjoyed spending the day hiking the Clemson experimental forest trail system that is accessible through their property and other sites in the area.

Beautiful, Clean, and Comfortable
If their absolutely majestic dog Ursa won’t win your heart over, then the camping spot definitely will. It is nicely secluded in the midst of an expansive forest, while also in enough proximity to the house that the water provided near it isn’t hard to get to. Plenty of natural wood is around, so building a fire is very easy and accessible. The outhouse is extremely clean and convenient too. Hudson kindly greeted us when we got there and showed us the ropes, and when we had gotten stuck in the mud the next morning Heather was very kind to help, enough to call neighbors to come pull us out. A great experience hosted by wonderful people.

This was an awesome place to stay! I throughly enjoyed the easy access to trails and the large fire ring and picnic table. The hosts were very welcoming, especially the dog host, Ursa! The house was in sight of the campground, but it felt private due to trees and distance.
