Herzen Plaz ways so beautiful! I can't wait to come back again. Staying at this yurt was like stepping into a woodland dream. Tucked away in a secluded, mystical forest clearing, the space offered perfect peace and quiet—with just the soothing sound of a babbling stream nearby. One of our favorite moments was sitting on the patio swing right next to the stream, coffee in hand, completely immersed in nature’s calm. The entire campsite was thoughtfully designed and full of charm. Soft patio lights twinkled overhead, and we had everything we needed: a grill for cooking, corn hole for a little fun, a hot shower that felt amazing after a day outdoors, and the most adorable, clean little outhouse. Inside the yurt, we were welcomed with a cozy interior complete with a coffee station, wine setup, and inviting, comfy touches throughout. Our host was simply exceptional. Every detail—like offering breakfast and s’mores—made the experience feel not just cared for, but loved. It’s rare to find a place that offers so much tranquility, comfort, and magic all at once. We didn’t want to leave, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for anyone looking to disconnect, reconnect with nature, and be wrapped in woodland serenity.

2 nights at Herzen Platz (a place in the Heart)

Gary's place was perfect for us! From the hot tub, to the beautiful lights that lit up the creek, down to the details of having a coffee station set up in the tent, and a hand washing station next to the commode. He was incredibly accommodating and personable, and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for helping us have a great vacation, Gary!

Weekend Trip to Serenity on the Saluda

Not just a beautiful spot on the river, but a great host as well. We are going again. A clean out house and beautiful spacious campsights to enjoy. Although remote, if you find you need anything, it's a short 10 minutes drive to a store/gas station. I recommend this campsite. A great river to enjoy.

4 nights at Wooded Camping at Pond

Great little campsite. Frog was a great host. Easy access to water and electricity. 20 min from downtown Helen. Lots of shade. Plenty of armadillos hanging out near the site at night! We would stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Chattooga Belle Farm Lakeside

This was our first hipcamp experience, and we didn't know what to expect. It ended up being perfect for the weekend! We had our canoe so we spent a lot of time on the lake. The lake was small, and the swimming area was great. We were able to pull our van down close to the water and found a level spot. We had our dog with us and he had a great time as well. Very chill. Overall, highly recommend! The only complaint, and it is minor, was that the outhouse stunk.

Weekend Trip to Serenity on the Saluda

My friend and I had an amazing time catching up and spending time connecting with Mother Earth. The river was amazing, and the owner gave us a great recommendation for a float down the river, we sat with our feet on the rocks looking at the beautiful nature and sunset and went back to drive off by the fire. The lot was flat, shaded and comfortable and over all the experience was awesome. Definitely hope to visit again!

Weekend Trip to Lakefront get away

We will definitely be back. The site was exactly as described we loved how peaceful and secluded it felt. The views of the lake were great! My husband enjoyed fishing and I enjoyed the kayaks. Our dogs enjoyed the lake and lots of area to explore. Having full hook ups and WiFi were perfect! He even provided firewood! We had a hot weekend so we didn’t build a fire but would like to come back when it’s a little cooler! Also if you walk to the point the sunset was amazing!

2 nights at Serenity on the Saluda

This was such an amazing few days. My sister and I took our two boys (4 and 5) for their first camping trip. The tent site and view of the river was gorgeous. The site was clean and really well set up for us to have a good tent set up and plenty of room for the kids to play. Being two lone women it can always be a little scary camping alone but John was super nice, dropped our firewood off promptly, and even gave our kids some cucumbers from his garden. He was even nice enough to jump our car battery when one of the boys inevitably left the car door open. We booked the spot without direct access to the river so we could relax too but the other site had a boat entrance where we could drop in our kayaks. We spent the two days fishing, kayaking, and swimming on the rocks. It’s rare I go somewhere and say I want to come back and have this exact same experience again but we’re already checking our calendars for when we can come back to this beautiful spot for part 2. 1000/10 recommend to anyone considering this. Thank you so much for having us John. We will be back.

🌿 5 Stars for the Owl’s Nest in Clarkesville, GA! 🌿 We just returned from an unforgettable 4-day stay at the Owl’s Nest, and we can’t say enough good things about this little slice of paradise. Tucked away in the beautiful Blue Mountains of North Georgia, the property is peaceful, private, and absolutely gorgeous — the perfect spot to unplug and unwind. 🌲 Our host William was fantastic — incredibly accommodating, hospitable, and friendly. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel right at home and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The site is well-marked and easy to find: just follow the Hipcamp signs — the parking lot is on the right , and the clubhouse is on the left. When you see those landmarks, YEP — you made it! 🙌 We spent our days hiking to waterfalls (Hemlock Falls, Anna Ruby Falls, Unicoi and Moccasin Creek State Parks), watching ducks and hawks, and soaking in the peace of the woods. 🦆🍃 We already can’t wait to come back in the fall to see the colors of the leaves and camp at the Owl’s Nest again. I loved this spot. I felt completely private and relaxed. My dogs enjoyed walks around the property and the garden. The river was muddy from rain so bathing/swimming was not an option but I enjoyed every minute.

I actually extended my stay so this was my third night here and again I did really enjoy the quietness and the lake. Also, like that, there was a kitchen up top that was able to be used and I could charge my stuff during the day. I will definitely be back! Hopefully with my group! Only thing I didn’t like was the ants.

I found this little spot after driving all day and really just needing to get some sleep. I booked my reservation around 10pm, and within minutes I received a call from Byron. I was there within 20 minutes or so, at which time I had the pleasure of meeting Byron, who led me to my spot. It was dark when I arrived, but the reservoir was still beautiful. I rolled my windows down and fell asleep to the sound of fish catching their dinner. I awoke in time to watch the sun rise over the water, and man was it worth it. I got a good night's sleep, a beautiful sunrise, and the absolute pleasure of meeting my gracious host, Byron. I will coming back many times in the future, without a doubt. Thank you for everything, Byron! You've got a beautiful spot there, and I enjoyed my stay very much!

I loved this hip camp I even extended my night an extra day! I enjoyed the water views and that it was very peaceful. It very close to Helen, Unicoi and other places to hike or explore so awesome location. I am not really sure how it’s set up though….if the lake site numbers matter or if it’s just first come first serve but I enjoyed it. The owners and other people that live on property were nice! And they have a full kitchen thats shared with the people who live there and bathrooms shared with them as well. For a campsite it’s nice amenities. Also includes free fire wood which is awesome!

Since the Lands opened their doors in 2010 they have come. There have been families, couples, groups, the media and fruit pickers who have all visited the farm; and they return year after year. Having been written up countless times across the southeast, US and more recently featured on The Today Show, the farm just keeps growing and getting better. With a history of growing sweet juicy apples, the soil in this part of the world has proven to be excellent for peaches, muscadines, scuppernongs, and blueberries. The farm also grows exotic fruits like persimmons, paw paws, Asian pears, figs, and more! The landscape is picturesque and the mountain views are truly breathtaking in every direction. The farm hosts farm to table dinners that sell out year after year. Their U-Pick fruit opportunities evolve throughout the season with something always coming in from early summer through fall. A list of available fruit is updated often on their website, upcoming events and information about cabin rentals on Horseshoe Lake. The recent addition of a distillery on the farm means the fruit is grown, fermented, distilled and bottled on the farm. The distillery is open year round Monday – Saturday. ged in oak barrels and aged to produce some of the finest liquors made in these mountains. The farm store is complete with fresh produce (in season), canned jams, jellies and bottled ciders. Grass-fed, natural, antibiotic-free Black Angus beef is sold in the store. The cattle are raised on pasture which produces some of the healthiest beef you can buy. Using only natural, humane and environmentally sustainable practices, the Lands and their staff raise beef as nature intended. Bringing the best to your family has never been easier. Belle's Bistro at Chattooga Belle Farm serves salads, sandwiches, burgers and soups made with the freshest ingredients possible. The bistro is open for lunch Tuesday – Sunday from April – October. It is safe to drink, however if you are sensitive to hard water, we recommend bringing bottled water. - This cabin is on a septic system; it cannot handle food scraps, wipes, nor toiletries. There is a basket in the kitchen sink drain to stop food from going down; empty this basket into the trash as needed and at the end of your stay. Toilets can only handle septic-safe toilet paper. Do not flush hygiene products, wipes, nor excessive tissue, EVEN ONES MARKED AS FLUSHABLE, as this will cause a blockage and render all plumbing unusable. - ***All trash must be BAGGED and TIED in kitchen-sized 13 gallon bags, then placed in the outdoor trash bins. The trash company does not have a dump truck; they pick up each bag individually. Please be mindful of this. Dog poop bags must be enclosed in trash bags as well*** - Pets require an $80 additional cleaning fee; there is a $180 fee for bringing an unannounced pet. Ensure all pet waste is picked up. We have seen bobcats and bears, please be mindful of your pets. - We are vape & 420 friendly, however tobacco products are permitted OUTDOORS ONLY. - Outdoor cushions are located in the storage bench under the outdoor tv. In order to preserve them, please place cushions back into the storage bench when not in use. - Magnetic darts, cornhole bean bags, and board games are located inside of the coffee table and outdoor bench. - The cabin has a Take One, Leave One library; feel free to bring a book you’re finished reading and trade out for one of ours. Of course, this means there may be all sorts of books on our shelves, which may not represent the opinions or values of your host. If you see something you find offensive or inappropriate, please tuck it away and let us know. - You may eat and play on the whiskey barrel arcade game, however do not move, lean on, or hit the glass top. - If you are sensitive to political signs/flags (US, Confederate, or otherwise), this may not be the right listing for you. Although we do not post affiliations, some surrounding homes do. - Because this is a rural area, we recommend turning off any lights that are not directly in use, as bugs are very prevalent and attracted to light, especially at night. **If you are sensitive to insects (indoor and outdoor), this listing may not be the right fit.** - There is community area access, however it is not always maintained. For boating especially, we recommend the nearest Boat Launch at 499 Choestoea Rd, Westminster, SC, where there are docks, a public launch, and a sandy beach. - The inflatable hot tub can reach temperatures up to 104°F. Due to the nature of inflatable hot tubs, it will lose about 5°F per hour that the lid is off; weather conditions and use of the jets may expedite this cooling. Unlike a traditional hot tub, there are no seats inside. There are flower-shaped sponges in the hot tub, which help keep the water clean. **If you prefer to take these out while in the water, they must be placed back in when you exit. DO NOT throw these over the railing.** After use, please toss 2 sanitizer shock tablets into the water (located above the stove). There will be a video on hot tub operation in your check in directions.

Scotland Pond

Learn more about this land: Secluded 16 acre woodlands near a an acre pond, with a dam. You can fish, and observe wildlife on the property . It’s a quick drive off the gravel road to campsite. Picnic table and fire ring provided. This is a taste of country near a small town, with the best of both worlds , and you will hear cows and trains. It’s 5 miles to the nearest grocery store. Short drive to Table Rock and Paris Mountain State parks, Jocassee , and Keowee Lakes. Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway for Motorcycle rides or hiking. Our motto is “ Leave No Trace” , so please don’t cut down trees, or burn pallets. ****** We are a Certified Wildlife Habitat and are also partnering with Hipcamp and The Xerces Society to increase habitats for pollinators . We just started working with Clemson Fisheries students to stock the pond and make it a healthy habitat ***** Cars, regular size trucks, and vans are welcome.

While everyone can find something to love in these rolling hills, golfers in particular will become raving fans of this little northern Georgia secret. The park’s golf course is decked out with a clubhouse, golf pro, and a program designed just for junior golfers. You can even rent the Bluebird Cottage for overnighters. If golf isn’t your thing, there’s no need to fret. Picnic along Victoria Bryant State Park’s delightful stream, and then explore wherever your feet take you. There’s a short nature trail and a longer perimeter trail to tackle, and plenty of wildlife in all directions. There’s even two ponds that can be used for fishing, and a swimming pool that’s open during the summer. You may not want to leave, so good thing there’s a campground!

When to go

The best time to visit Victoria Bryant State Park is during the spring and fall when the weather is mild and the natural scenery is at its peak. Summer months can be warm, making early morning or late evening the ideal times for activities. Winters are generally mild, but check ahead for any unusual cold snaps.
