Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping.
There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek.
There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area.
Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite.
Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

Our land is totally pesticide-free and full of life — from colorful flower gardens to veggies, herbs, fruit trees, and our famous 14 free-range chickens (a.k.a. The Dixie Chicks). Guests love feeding them, petting them, and collecting fresh eggs.

Indigo Eagle Sanctuary is an incredible place to experience the abundance of nature in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our Sanctuary features two main areas: Mountain Tops, or Creekside sites.
Immerse yourself in beauty and adventure, with waterfalls, a rushing creek, fishing, and camping.
Our creek properties include the Creekside Cabin, and Waterfall Haven (multiple camping site options, with their own areas by the creek). Guests have room to explore the mossy wonderland along Hornbuckle Creek, take a dip in a swimming hole, take an adventure and follow a rough trail (at your own risk) to another waterfall, accessed across the creek, or just kick back and relax.
(Note to guests: Trail has not been maintained since last year. Go at your own risk.)
Our mountaintop options include Eagle’s Nest and Songbird Campsites. These two sites provide breathtaking, long-range mountain views and epic sunsets. They are great for quick get-aways, with ease of access to main roads/highways.
Indigo Eagle Sanctuary Sites are located within a few miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherokee Reservation (museum, shops, dining) and Maggie Valley, a quaint mountain town with more shops, food, and entertainment. Nearest grocery stores are Ingles in Waynesville, or Food Lion in Cherokee. The popular Asheville is about a 50minute drive from our Sanctuary. Plenty to explore here, while being able to unplug and unwind.

The creekside camping involves a road that will require vehicle clearance in order to access campsites. 4wd is not required but adequate vehicle clearance will be necessary as we have received damages from storms.

Our location is phenomenal we are an hour from Knoxville and Asheville and just about 1/4 mile off I-40. Right at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and 35 minutes from Gatlinburg about 40 minutes to Pigeon Forge (Dollywood), also about 45 minutes to Sevierville and one of my favorite Tanger Outlets!! The beautiful Smoky Mountains the National Park is filled with hiking trails and horse stables and trails. Some of the best white water rafting is less then 5 miles up the road along with zip lining and a lil taste of moonshine here and there.
This property is primitive with no electric and has a camping style bathhouse. IT’s recommended for outdoor lovers and people that are not too needy. Hurricane Helene brought unforecasted changes in the land but the tranquility of the River remains. We have worked to restore as much as we could. As for us it’s still our happy place in the Smoky Mountains!

1. 100 % Refund less credit card processing fee if you cancel before 14 days of your arrival date. 50% Refund if you cancel between 14 and 7 days of your arrival date. No Refund if you cancel within 6 days of your arrival date.
2. CHECK IN: 4 PM. CHECK OUT: 11 AM.
3. QUIET TIME. 10 PM - 8 AM
4. CHECK OUT PROCEDURES. Camp must be broken down by 11 AM on departure day. If you stay past time you could be charged for an additional day. Extension possible with pre-approval.
5. All Overnight Guests Must Pay
6. Trash must be taken to the Green Bins located at the lower corner of the upper field
7. No washing vehicles
8. PETS must be kept on a leash at all times. Please clean up after your pets and do NOT leave them in the campground unattended.

If you're looking to explore the surrounding towns and cities, you're in luck. Our site is located just an hour from Gatlinburg, TN, and Pigeon Forge, TN - two popular tourist destinations known for their theme parks, attractions, and shopping. You're also just an hour away from Asheville, NC, a vibrant city known for its arts, music, and culinary scene. And if you're looking for a more low-key experience, Hot Springs, NC is just 45 minutes away, offering natural hot springs, charming shops, and restaurants.
Our RV site is the perfect basecamp for your next adventure in the mountains. You'll have access to all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay, including electric and water hookups, and ample space for parking. And when you're ready to relax after a long day of exploring, you can kick back and enjoy the stunning views from your RV or around the campfire.

Located only minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, our riverfront campsite has all the amenities necessary for camping in comfort and ease. It includes access to river and pond for fishing, kayaking, rafting, tubing, etc. You will be surrounded by all the necessary creature comforts for your stay, electric, potable water, fire pit, string lights,etc. Just relax and be completely immersed in the mountains and nature. This is a very large private site with no other campers. We provide a large amount of firewood. If you require more wood than supplied there will be an additional $25 charge. We also provide a fifty five gallon drum of water for washing and a five gallon container of drinking water. We have an outhouse that is sanitized prior to your arrival. You will have access to three swimming areas on Big creek where you can float or just take a dip and cool off. There is a small “Snack Shack” where you can purchase eggs, ice, candy, ice cream, snacks and drinks. We are located at the foot of Rocky Top mountain with scenic trails accessible with off road vehicles or four wheel drive vehicles or a two mile walk up the mountain. We are located little over an hour from Dollywood and about half hour from rafting the Pigeon river.

The spot was perfect. Close enough proximity to the park while still feeling secluded. Swimming and the view of the mountains from the water was a fantastic touch. I would definitely return to this spot. Worthy mention of the proximity to the intestate, you are definitely convenient yet far enough away but you can hear semis Jake brakes at night, but the sound of the rapids to fall asleep to was great.

This is such a great campsite! Very easy to find, easy to get my trailer parked, and well maintained property. The bathroom was private and had plenty of room. Each RV site had an electrical hook up and water. It was great falling asleep to the sound of the creek and I enjoyed seeing the chickens roam the property. Anne is super kind and very responsive! Highly recommend staying here and will definitely be here again.
This place is also super close to the Smokies Natl Park and about 20min from NOC for all the kayakers and rafters out there :)

Incredible camping location. Hannah and Andy were so incredibly nice and the site was no different. We appreciated how large it was, how they had some kayaks for us to use, and even let us fish in their stock pond for some dinner. We had such an amazing weekend and I would definitely stay here again.

The Host's Hanna and Andy were fantastic. Everything they said the site was, it was. Even more with Kayaks, Lawn chairs, a gas grill, Andy put hot dog forks so they could be roasted on the fire. They put out fish food so we could feed his little pond of Trout. The seclusion is what really stood out. It was the perfect amount of people me and my wife. You could hear the rapids all night long. We would go to sleep to that. We fortunately had full moons, and we were able to keep the windows open. Go to sleep to the rapids and the moonlight reflecting off the river. One of the Camper frienly items most RVers appreciate a little thing but the granite stone on the camp site where Rv was parked. It kept the dirt down to a minimum going in and out of the coach. A really great stay, Thanks Andy and Hanna.

The tents are terrific, weathered and entire night’s worth of thunderstorms and almost an inch of rain beautifully. Cots were comfortable. Facilities are clean and the stable itself is gorgeous. My dogs enjoyed the stay too!

This property is beautiful and well worth a visit. I highly recommend this! The host, Mark, is super communicative and helpful, making the whole process seamless. Also they have a snack shack with eggs from their chickens, plus other go-to essentials. This site is awesome.

We honestly didn’t realize how badly we needed a place like this until we got here. From the moment we arrived, we were completely overwhelmed by how beautiful and peaceful the property was. The pictures truly don’t do it justice.
Being right on the river, surrounded by trees and mountains, listening to the water all day, sitting by the fire at night under the string lights, and waking up to that view was incredibly relaxing. We spent so much time just sitting outside, watching the river, letting our dog enjoy the property, and actually slowing down for once.
There’s something special about this place. It didn’t just feel like somewhere we rented for a few days; it felt like an escape from everything. We came here expecting a nice getaway and left realizing it was exactly the reset we didn’t know we needed.
If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful, private, beautiful, and genuinely relaxing, this is it. We absolutely loved our stay and already miss sitting by that river. We would come back without hesitation. 5 stars, easily.
