Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping. There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek. There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area. Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite. Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

#11 - Creekside Site
We had a great experience tent camping at Low Meadows farm. Kat was extremely accommodating and the property was truly lovely. Hearing the creek running through the night was very peaceful.

#1 - Creekside Site
The location is excellent and the general amenities and communication were great. However much of the landscape had not been mowed- we moved campsites due to mud and found the open alternatives had knee high grass and well developed poison ivy between the creek and site. Not sure if maintenance has been lax but that was disappointing for the cost of the site. I'd come back if that was corrected because the location, size of the campground and politeness of the other campers made for a peaceful sleep.

Great space
Kat has a beautiful and simple place here. We really appreciated the port-a-potty and potable water. Our site (#11) was beautiful and peaceful. We loved listening to the sound of the creek beside us.

#7 - Creekside Site
If you like true primitive camping then this is a place you’ll like. They do have a toilet and if you don’t like to dip water out of the creek then they have a water faucet behind the wood pile If available go for #10. The white noise from the moving water is louder but all of them are nice for a good peaceful weekend or just a stop for the night on a long trip We met the owners while we were there and they were very nice and gave us advice and good directions to nearby trails to walk so you can get the most out of your stay For (primitive camping) I give it a 10 and we will return in the future. Just remember to leave it clean folks 👍
