Natural, secluded and beautiful!
Remote and secluded deep in the Cherokee holler. This was exactly what we were looking for. Other review highlight some things as negative that we thought were a plus. I enjoyed the rough road entry, getting a little 4x4 in. It wasn’t too rough, but definitely recommend a high clearance vehicle. The directions had me concerned, but they are actually very spot on and you do exactly what they say, not hard to find, just follow directions. We took spot 5. The spots are a bit randomly placed, but by the nature of the creek and the holler, the spots were available as well as they can be designed. Very peaceful and quiet, deep in the forest. No other guests when we went so we had a very private experience. To say it’s beautiful is an understatement, very lush untouched land for the most part. Our 4 & 5 yr old boys had a blast creek climbing and wading. Mossy rocks, tall trees, flowing waterfalls, it is wonderful. If you’re truly into rustic camping and want to get remote without having to be 6 hours into the forest, this spot is perfect. Bring your gear and enjoy true nature. Will do again! Two dads and two boys. Cherokee township is 25mins down the mountain and we had a great fly fishing Saturday there no problem and got back to camp in time for nice fire and meal. Thanks to host (we didn’t see or meet them, but property was as listed). Enjoy the outdoors!
