Private property bordering Nantahala National Forest on Little Snowbird Creek in Robbinsville, NC. 16mi from Lake Santeelah, about 10mi from the Cherohala Skyway. MUST HAVE 4X4 OR AWD VEHICLE TO ACCESS MOUTAINTOP CAMPSITES. Property damage fee of $100 for 2WD vehicles not adhering to rule. 2WD vehicles must camp creekside, sites 1-6. NO AXES, HATCHETS, MACHETES ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY. NO NAILS IN THE TREES TO HANG THINGS. It damages the tree and causes them to die. Keep pets on a leash, especially if they like to roam or have any aggressive behavior. Spacious camping lots, and great trout fishing along little snowbird creek which is on private property. Fishing privileges are actually written into property owners' deed on the purchase of land. Views that can bring a tear to a glass eye and relaxing sounds of the creek can be heard from anywhere on the property. Hundreds of Hiking trails in the area, many just a short distance from the property. Please be respectful of others' property and no trespassing signs. It’s a gravel mountain road the last several miles to the property and like driving through an enchanted forest. The secluded location, peaceful and breathtaking views make this place a must-see adventure.

Grateful for this experience! I happened to get very lucky and had the whole place to myself. Caught three beautiful rainbow trout and had the best sunset and sunrise with my dog. Solo female traveler and reactive dog approved (especially the mountain spots). I will definitely be back.

This place is beautiful and I will absolutely stay here again. I stayed at one of the lower sites along the creek and dispite there being no range mountain views, the location was perfect. I loved listening to the sound of the creek while I slept. The host was great and always available to help. This was a real find, and I'll certainly be back.

Very nice site with a great view. The site is peaceful and well maintained and access is easy (with 4wd). The site has a very large, cleared flat area so there is lots of flexibility with where to setup a tent. Easy drive into town or to lots of scenic drives, boating, hiking, and forest service roads to explore.

This was a beautiful campsite right on the creek. The only thing I didn’t like was that for the wifi I had to walk up the hill about 3/10 of a mile and crank a generator. After all of that, the wifi still didn’t work at all. Other than that, it was a great site…

We absolutely love Lil Snowbird Primitive Campsites. Been here multiple times and it’s easily one of our favorites. The mountain sites like Big Ian are so spacious and the views are unrivaled. We love the creek side campsites too and can usually see the rainbow trout in the creek. Cannot wait to come back.

Sometimes you have to lose all cell service to truly find your connection. Our family getaway to Lil Snowbird in Robbinsville, NC was pure magic the ultimate reset we didn't know how badly we needed. Tucked deep in the mountains, sleeping right beside the rush of the cold stream, the rest of the world completely faded away. No notifications, no endless scrolling just the sound of flowing water lulling us to sleep and open mountain skies stretching out forever over the truck bed. We spent our days completely unplugged. From sitting camp chairs straight in the middle of the cool, clear creek with a fishing rod in hand and snacks nearby, to watching pure joy unfold on top of scenic overlooks, every single moment felt grounded. Cooking meals over an open campfire in the Dutch oven, sharing laughs in the woods, and breathing in that crisp mountain air reminded us what really matters. Lil Snowbird isn't just a campsite; it’s a sanctuary for the soul. If you’re looking to trade screen time for genuine family laughter, cold mountain water, and crackling campfires, this is the place. beautiful site. the sound of the river rushing by is very peaceful. i didn’t realize that there were other sites so close by but there wasn’t much noise and it still felt secluded. something i didnt know and wasnt prepared for when we got to the site: there is absolutely no cell reception. the host does offer free wifi up at the camp office.

Campsite 2 was large and pretty private. We had plenty of room for our tents, and large kitchen setup. It was great! The water was amazing. Perfect for tying out our floats and just relaxing! Andrew was very helpful and checked on us every day. We will definitely be returning to Little Snow bird farm!

We had an awesome stay here with Brady. Everything was exactly as advertised. Site 9 was absolutely breathtaking. The sunsets and sunrises were unreal. Also seems to be a hawk living nearby as it would soar over our campsite each morning and then glide out over the valley. Absolutely awesome. Brady was so great. We really enjoyed getting to meet and chat with him. Super friendly and helpful. Made sure we were settled in well and got us a great map to navigate the area - hikes, lakes, etc. The location is gorgeous. Very remote, which is what we were looking for. But close to the Cherohala Skyway, Joyce Kilmer, Lake Santeetlah and of course fishing right on snowbird creek. We couldn't recommend the place enough and plan to come back as soon as we're able. Thanks for a great stay, Brady!

Andrew was a great host, very friendly. Appreciated him giving us a map of the area, including recommended scenic spots and just learning so much about his property. This is a great place to camp by the creek. When I tell you the last 20 minutes are gravel to the site, you don’t have anything to worry about. It’s all about the adventure. Beautiful view and perfect spot to watch the stars at night. It was a great spot to cool off especially mid day when the sun was at its highest point. You really do get lost in time since no notifications come through due to the signal. But when signal was needed just to let our loved ones know we were safe, Andrew was kind of enough to give us a ride to where the starlink was located to send a message out.

Awesome trip with a large group, kids, and dogs. We didn't have any luck fishing but the water was refreshing and super fun for the whole group. It was peaceful. The drive to the site it long but really beautiful and enjoyable.
