Update on Fire ban: I spoke with the forest ranger of Yadkin County, and You ARE allowed SMALL campfires for cooking and heating purposes only. No bonfires. Charcoal and propane grills are OK too.
Please respect our land by not bringing firewood from off-site and burning it here. We are a working farm that allows camping, not a campground. Our native trees and crops could easily be devastated by outside diseases or pests that are carried in firewood. We offer firewood for sale from our farm (delivered to your site for no additional fee). You do NOT have to purchase it prior to your arrival, and we have large tubs too!
Our STORE offers firewood, meats, eggs, Tallow, lard (both rendered right here!), drinks, Amish ice cream and jams/jellies/preserves, hammocks, hammock chairs, smoked dog bones, soaps (made right here), rentals of: cast iron cookware, a tent, Coleman stove, fishing poles, ... and MUCH MORE!
Please note that all our sites are reserved with a one vehicle limit. Some sites are large enough to accommodate additional vehicles but each additional vehicle will incur a $10 per night charge. Free parking for additional vehicles is located at the office/store.
Looking for a camping experience with a little luxury to boot? Look no further than our Oasis at Harmon Creek Farms! You can drive right up to most sites, weather permitting. You will have access to a fire ring and picnic table (located at each site), firewood for sale on site (please do not bring firewood from off-site), clean well water (located near the pond), the creek to explore, our stocked pond to fish, and wooded trails to hike. Once roamed by Native Americans and now farmed by the same family for over 6 generations, Harmon Creek Farm is a working farm of over 160 acres. Peace, quiet, tranquility and privacy are overflowing along the creek, and hiking throughout the hills on the backside of the farm (and on the other side of the creek) leads to interesting and abundant flora and fauna. The stocked, spring fed pond is 'brimming" with angler challenges🎣

The entire property is oriented toward private farmland views, a half mile of river and surrounding mountains. It's really quite remarkable to be so accessible yet feel so remote! Come swim, fish, cook and play!
PLEASE NOTE, our rate is based on the number of vehicles in your group. The first vehicle is included in the nightly rate and admits 4 campers. WE CHARGE FOR ADDITIONAL CARS. The charge will be added to your booking once you select the number of vehicles at checkout.
Please note that each additional car admits four campers. For EXAMPLE, 2 cars = 8 campers total. If you only have two cars but more than eight people, YOU MUST select the "Extra Person" Extra for each night they are camping. Please select these extras at checkout. If you have questions about this PLEASE message me prior to booking.
Our 95-acre farm was once owned by the Davis family who predominantly raised dairy cattle. We now raise the wooly Mangalitsa pig and sell to the best chefs and restaurants. We sell our pork at the farm too!
All of our campsites are next to running water except the two hilltop sites.
Two porta-potties are on the farm and private porta-potties are available for rent. Groups of eight or more are required to rent a porta potty should you not bring your own toilet system with you. We do not allow the use of our small wooded areas as toilets. No porta potties are provided b/tw Dec 15 and March 15

Spacious camping lots, and great trout fishing along little snowbird creek which is on private property. Fishing privileges are actually written into property owners' deed on the purchase of land.
Views that can bring a tear to a glass eye and relaxing sounds of the creek can be heard from anywhere on the property. Hundreds of Hiking trails in the area, many just a short distance from the property. Please be respectful of others' property and no trespassing signs.
It’s a gravel mountain road the last several miles to the property and like driving through an enchanted forest. The secluded location, peaceful and breathtaking views make this place a must-see adventure.

Pull down a paved road and get out of your car and sit down at a picnic table in front of a private waterfall!
This site has a pull through, full hookup spot with 30amp for campers but tents are always welcome or a combination of the two. I've had a 33' camper, popup camper and 6 tents at this campsite all at the same time so there plenty of room for your family and friends!
We're 2.5 miles from the Cherokee Casino and 3.5 miles from down town Cherokee
If you're tired of crowded campgrounds then you'll love the privacy this campground offers. This is now a two site campground with each site being around 100' away from the other site with trees and vegetation growing in between, you more or less cant see on site from the other from May until November.
There is a orange cone that marks the border of the two sites. One set of campers will not be allowed on the other campers campsite, if this happens you will be evicted with no refund.
Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 12pm.
No shooting firearms, (although you may hear people shooting firearms because you will be camping in the mountains) but your more than welcome to bring your firearms. Its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
No fireworks.
No making trails or collecting firewood (This is not because I want to sell you firewood, its because I want to have the property remain as pristine as possible)

Dogs are permitted but message me first to see if your do will be a good fit.
There is a small Church around 200 yards from the campground. They hold services every Wednesday and Sunday. They generally start around 5pm and it lasts around a hour. If your into that they would love to have you come down.
The EBCI opened a dispensary around 3 miles from the campground. It will open to all adults over 21 starting September 7th 2024.

The Spruill Farm belonged to the Spruill Family for over a hundred years and has been set up as conservation easement protected land in '23. It includes hardwood forest, swamp, a beautiful swimming beach* on the Albemarle Sound - one of the largest freshwater sounds in the world-, acres of farmland, vegetable garden and perhaps the largest fig orchard for hundreds of miles around. The purpose of the Spruill Farm is to further environmental research, promote ecological education and sustainable practices, and provide access for the public to the ever-diminishing shoreline experience. Please enjoy the incredible sunsets and woodland views, while respecting the serenity of this unique gem on the inner-banks.
Wildlife on the property include Red Fox, River Otter, and 95 species of birds, including Bald Eagles (2 nests on the farm), nesting Osprey, Wood Ducks. Visit the 'Spruill Farm Conservation Project' on inaturalist(dot)org to see all 95 species, and upload any images from your observations.
Because it is a nature preserve, please read the guidelines and rules closely if you choose to book with us.
*Note: the shoreline changes with the wave action and the seasons. The beach is bigger in winter, smaller in summer. These changes make the Bobby Wilkins shoreline trail so beautiful- always changing.

Lee's favorite song and the inspiration behind our name is "Puff the Magic Dragon" by Peter, Paul and Mary. A land of whimsical imagination, beauty and maybe a dragon or three is our shared vision for the farm.
The camping options are flexible, ranging from prepared campsites along both Little and Deep creeks with composting outhouses nearby, to "Camper's Choice" options where you may hike in or drive in and create your own camping experience. Please note that since the "Camper's Choice" options allow freedom to select hike-in or drive-in options, the exact distance to nearest outhouse may vary.
There are 144 acres to explore so campers can set up a secluded getaway or cluster together in a group.

Honah Lee Farms has over 140 acres of woods with open fields distributed throughout. We are bordered to the south by the Flat River, to the west by Deep Creek, and to the north by Little Creek. Most of our campsites are nestled in the trees along one of these bodies of water and all campers have access to the 10 foot waterfall area where Deep Creek runs into the Flat River.

We have sheep, pigs and a donkey rotating through pastures behind electric fencing. Take a walk to say hello, but don't touch the fence! We also have 3 very friendly farm cats.
Pork and lamb from our farm (as well as kiln-dried firewood) is available for purchase at our farm store.

Heartstone is located on a modestly pitched, terraced slope where a divided mountain stream, the tumbling Squally Creek rejoins itself! Islandsite is located at the top of the island where the tumbling Squally Creek divides! Access is provided by the 40' long fallen tree bridge! Islandsite is amazing and very unique!

Coweeta Creek Campground is a charming small "boutique" campground nestled along Coweeta Creek in the heart of an Otto rural neighborhood. Each RV site is gravel, shaded, and sits along the peaceful Coweeta Creek. The campground property has a large field for games (kickball, soccer, volleyball), as well as a flat 1/4 mile loop which you can view our mini homestead farm. We have chickens, bees, vegetable gardens, and a small fruit orchard. Turkey Foot Trail is a 1/2 mile trail that takes you through the wooded area to the peak of the property.
The campground is only 15 minutes from Franklin, NC and 20 minutes from Clayton, GA with plenty of shopping/restaurants. Once you are at the campground you won't want to leave the beauty of the creek!
Strong Wifi is available at all sites. Network password will be provided before arrival.
Property History: Coweeta Creek Campground WAS a 20 site, thriving, family/church oriented campground from the 1970's that was later sold, then neglected. My family purchased in 2022 and opened a few camping sites for a more family friendly, intimate setting.

Our farm is vast and sparse,
focusing on sustainability while giving back to the community. We are a safe haven for animals and humans alike.
Situated on and between two peaks of Little Phoenix Mountain range in Jefferson Ashe County. Our sites’ altitudes range from 3100 feet to over 3600 feet, which is a lot of slope and hillside to say the least. As a guest you will be offered insane long views and limited exposure to the oldest registered breed of bovine in the world. Our Scottish Highland Cattle are majestic and fit in quite well in the NC mountainside. Located in the Blue Ridge mountains, we have natural water springs popping out, some of which are tapped to drink from. (10.1.23 currently farm springs are not accessible to guests, shatley springs up the road approx 4miles north has a public spring that we highly recommend)
If you are looking for a camping spot that is only 5-10 minutes from town (Jefferson NC or the quaint Downtown West Jefferson) but feels like you're in the middle of no where, then we have it!
The Blue Ridge Parkway is less than 20 minutes away and the New River equally close.
Looking Forward: July update. We are currently working on provided an all downhill mountain bike trail from 3600 to 3150ft. This path will be double wide for the most part and wide open at first to soak in the se view. Will update when completed! *a ride back up for your bike and yourself will be scheduled if requested

Our yurts are nicely appointed with a queen-size bed, mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. The detached 144 sq ft shared bath house provides all the facilities, as well as towels and basic bathing necessities for yurt stays only. Lie on the heated mattress pad with soft linens and watch the stars sail across the clear dome as you drift off to sleep to dream of the day's adventures. Nestled up to the Great Smoky Mountains National park, this property is unique in everything it offers. Riverside on the renowned fly fishing river, the Tuckasegee River, or ridge top on Cullowhee Mountain, elevation 3850'. There are improved camp sites, yurts, or free range camping and hiking. The views are spectacular, wherever you decide to locate on the property. We implement " Leave no trace" rules and welcome respectful 4wd access to the entire mountain. My wife and I moved to the area, from Boone, in the spring of 2014.
Our dream was to own a house, preferably a cabin, on top of a mountain with long range views and a gradual winding road to the top.
Living in Boone, this dream was definitely out of reach.
When we began our search for a new home in the Asheville area, we discovered that the more affordable homes were in fact on the mountains.
Perfect!
In general I always have a pretty positive outlook on what’s possible, however, I was skeptical that we would ever find our dream home.
As Jeannie began her Zillow browsing adventures, one particular cabin with acreage,
that was outside of our budget continued to pop up.
Jeannie would delete it and then it would come back.
At some point the price began to drop, and drop, and drop.
On our way back into town one weekend after attending a wedding, I convinced Jeannie to drive by the cabin
just because we had the time.
Immediately we fell in love and reached out to our realtor buddy.
It was more of a shot in the dark but it couldn’t hurt, right?
We held our breath for the next month totally expecting someone to get it under contract before us or the sellers not accepting our offer.
It had already been reduced significantly so we knew our chances of a lowball offer were slim.
We offered the most that we could get a loan for.
They accepted!
I still get anxious thinking back to that month, October 2014.
Many years and two children later, here we are, just as excited everyday to make the long trek up our mountain as we were that August of 2014, and now we are happy to offer a similar experience to you, without having to buy the place.

Pitch your tent in the grass on the tip top of the mountain or park your camper in the flat gravel spot with a fire pit just below the top with beautiful views overlooking Cane Creek. In the fall and winter enjoy 360 degree views and in the summer enjoy the shade and cool breeze while relaxing & snacking on wild wine berries and black raspberries. What you will not find is light pollution, traffic, and a desire to leave the mountain. Fall asleep to the calls of the hoot owl and wake up to the knocking of the wood pecker.
If & when you decide to explore the area, be sure to checkout Hickory Nut Gap farm just 7.9 miles away & Whistle Hop Brewery 7.7 miles away. Turgua brewery just down on Cane Creek road is only 6.2 miles from camp. Cane Creek Valley Farm as well as the Cane Creek Community swimming pool is also at the base of camp just in case the kids need a dip of ice cream or a dip in the pool. Justus Apple Orchard is only 10 miles down the mountain towards Hendersonville. We love taking our kids there.
We are only 15 miles from downtown Asheville & Hendersonville, and 22 miles from Lake Lure. The site backs up to over 100 acres of forest for a truly wilderness feel just outside of town.

Winding Stair Campground sits at an elevation of 3,380 feet, next to the headwaters of the Nantahala River and is surrounded by national forest and undeveloped private land trusts. The stunning mountain views in a remote tucked-away setting make our farm a perfect getaway!
Just a 15-minute scenic drive from Franklin in North Carolina, easily accessible off Hwy 64, our campground offers a chance to enjoy nature without being far away from the public amenities of a small but well-equipped town.
A few features about our property:
- Working farm: Campers are welcome to meet our Icelandic sheep and take a self-guided tour of our farm, along designated pathways.
- Security: The campground and farm are fenced in on three sides with the river being the fourth boundary. Personal code to the entrance gate will be given at check in.
- Bath House: The restored bathhouse is split into boys’ and girls’ sides. Each side has 2 private showers, 4 flushing toilets, sinks, hot water, and gas heat.
- Community Pavilion: The Pavilion is a large 40x30 ft. open sided structure overlooking the Nantahala River. It has an ample fireplace, running water sink, counter space, couches, and table with benches.
- Pack Room: Where the adventure begins! A cozy hub where all guests get local information, view maps, and grab some local seasonal groceries. Also available to all campers are washing sinks with hot water, toaster oven and microwave.
- Communication: Or rather, lack thereof! There's no cell service on the property so it's a great time to get away from it all. There is limited Wi-Fi available near the Pack Room and an emergency landline available.
- Charging: Traveling in an electric vehicle? Recharge for free at our dedicated EV 50amp outlet when you stay at any of our sites. First come, first served.

We stayed here for 5 nights with our kids and dogs in our pop up camper and everyone loved it! The creek is amazing and great to explore--its not too fast and shallow enough to wade in. If you're visiting the area from out of town, it's very convenient to many local towns and attractions. We made frequent trips to Franklin, Clayton, and a number of waterfalls. In the evenings, the kids chased fireflies and we saw a lot of whitetail deer. Melissa and Adam were responsive and helpful. They have firewood, honey, and eggs for sale on site. Looking forward to a visit in the fall!

I’ve been camping my entire life and been to amazingly beautiful places, but this campsite was too 5 (the others being backpacking sites). All the sites provide privacy and each has its incredible qualities. We should stayed at island site and the bridge combined with the tent platform right above the creek was magical. Brian was the absolute best host and hands down one of the kindest dudes I’ve ever met. I cannot say enough about our experience. I’m from Los Angeles and I’ll definitely be back as soon as I can.

Brian is such a steward to this stunning pocket of forest along a rushing creek. The campsite was extremely well organized and laid out, impeccably maintained, and felt very safe. I would come here as a solo woman camper. 10/10 would recommend, I’m coming again!

We had a great time! So close to local hiking, and the trails at the property are breathtaking. We didn't even have to leave to see beautiful things. campsite was well maintained, and the covered porch was nice because it rained all morning the second day there. Very convenient to use the tables for our camp stove and sitting under the cover.

This was an ideal campground for our group of 16 (8 adults, 8 kids). The setting was gorgeous, creek access was superb, and the bathhouse was clean and conveniently located. There was plenty of space to run around for group games, and the pond was a hit for the fisher-folk among us. The orchard and chickens really added to the charm, too. All in all it was a lovely, well maintained site that we all agreed we return to (even despite a very soggy weekend!). :)

Second time at Coweeta Creek Campground! This time we had tents and a bunch of kinds ranging in ages from 1-8 years. The kids stayed busy exploring, fishing, biking, and playing in the big field; despite the rain. Melissa is a fabulous host, always available, and is a great reference for what the surrounding area has to offer. We will be back.

We loved the Glamping site! It was such an awesome experience. Everything was set up perfect for us. We generally tent camp so the glamping was quite an upgrade. Bed was comfortable and the solar tree lights were great for sitting around the fire. The meat and eggs bought on site were incredible. We enjoyed them so much we took a bunch home. Please stay here and support a local family and enjoy a piece of nature. We will be back!

Richard was a wonderful host! I would definitely recommend staying at his camp sites. You can tell he worked hard to make it as private as possible. He even met up with us at the campsite and gave us a tour and showed us how the shower worked. He communicated with us before check in and even after leaving from the brief tour. He reached out to tell us if we need anything or recommendations and to adjust the water temperature just let him know, he’s not far. The grill was clean, the creek was wonderful. He recommended fishing spots nearby and activities! Even gave us spots to see elks! The church was not a bother I hardly noticed it not loud at all. The driveway is only used between you and the other campers or you if rent out both campsites to have an even more private stay for you and your family.

The BEST campground in Brevard. In the mountains, no neighbors, incredibly flat and perfect tent sites, easy access to DuPont and Brevard. The outdoor shower is the best - every thoughtful touch, well planned. If you are coming to the Brevard mountains - this is the place to stay!

Paul is wonderful and his property is awesome! We camped at camp 7. We approached site during high tide and while its a short walk, the tide floods the area. We personally enjoyed the adventure of walking in the ankle-deep water and sleeping on the platform that seems to be on a little island in the middle of the marsh. All of our belongings stayed dried regardless of the tide. Highly recommend this campsite or any site at Paul's campground!
