My husband and I had a wonderful and relaxing time! The place was cozy with everything we needed. Christine was very responsive and and we enjoyed talking with her and learning about the farm. Would definitely recommend and we will be back!
My wife, our 4 year old daughter, doggo and I had the best time staying at the RiverNest. The space was perfect for our needs, combining cozy and functional, after the first night we all knew we’d love to come back. Exploring the forest on Christine’s land was a lot of fun, my daughter especially loved the easy hiking. Highly recommend this hipcamp, I’ve stayed at a bunch of hipcamps and airbnb cabins and this one is a stand out for sure!
We loved the River Nest and our dogs just loved the trails. The best feature are the glass garage doors which can be opened completely. The view is amazing. It is a perfect place to relax. The kitchenette has all the gadgets one can need to cook, heat.
I cannot recommend this campsite enough!!!! It is a gorgeous, well-maintained property and the hosts are very kind and attentive. You can tell there is a lot of love and thoughtfulness put into organizing the property. It’s a truly special space. Hope to come back one day. 💗
Christine's easygoing nature made using their property so pleasant! We were paddling and camping on the Yadkin River State Trail. We scheduled ahead and loved having a campsite that wasn't next to a road, had a shower and a portalet. The community spaces of the shelter and sitting area makes this camping opportunity one not to miss. Strongly Recommend you making this part of your paddling trip!
This site was absolutely perfect, so peaceful and quiet! Christine was so friendly and accommodating! I will definitely be staying here again for a longer trip and highly recommend!
The view is fantastic from the deck. The garage doors for in and out feel was awesome and the dogs loved it with a great breeze flowing most of the time. Hosts were very friendly and the property is well kept. Shorter drive from Charlotte than going to WNC mountains
We had a blast for our short trip staying in the River Nest. Christine was so warm and welcoming, and she provided everything we needed for our stay. We loved the cozy, soulful feel of the place - so many fun touches. Can’t wait to be back one day and explore more of the trails! -James & Rebecca

I truly cannot find the words to accurately describe how magical the River Nest is. I can tell you that it was very hard having to leave!
This place is an absolute oasis for anyone looking for a place to enjoy some solitude and/or be surrounded by beautiful nature and scenery.
Christine has thought of every detail, there was truly nothing I needed that wasn't available to me.
From the magestic views, to the great hiking trails, picking fresh blackberries, having access to the river below, I was beyond happy to be there every minute of the day. Cannot wait to return!
Incredible view, amazing space. Pictures don’t do the entirety of this place justice. Everything is perfectly setup, and there’s zero confusion about anything.
I loved everything about this place! Camp site was perfectly private but close to the outdoor shower and outhouse.
Shower and outhouse was clean.
We slept in hammocks in the campsite. Chilled by the firepit by the river in the evening.
We’re gonna try to go back soon.
I camped here with my 5 year old boy and loved it. Christine was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. We picked berries on her farm and borrowed a Kayak for some fishing and wading around in the river. Devine llama vineyard is 10 minutes down the road which made the experience even more memorable for both of us. We also enjoyed the fire pit area where we cooked beans and brats over the fire.
We had a great time! So close to local hiking, and the trails at the property are breathtaking. We didn't even have to leave to see beautiful things. campsite was well maintained, and the covered porch was nice because it rained all morning the second day there. Very convenient to use the tables for our camp stove and sitting under the cover.
We had a wonderful time at the treehouse. We signed up for a guided hike and loved getting to explore the land. It was equipped with everything you need. We wish we could’ve stayed a few more days. We would love to come back.
Christine's property is incredible! They have built such a special place down by the Yadkin. The land itself is gorgeous, and the pavilion is perfect for hosting large groups of people.
Christine is also a great host. Very easy to communicate with and easygoing.
Looking forward to our next trip :) Can't speak highly enough of both the place and the host.
Such an incredible spot! The treehouse was absolutely gorgeous- beautiful view, comfy beds, and super easy access to the river. Such a gem! We will absolutely be returning!
We loved staying in the Rivernest cabin in the treetops! From the deck we had a view of both the Yadkin River below and Pilot Mountain across the valley—truly breathtaking. The bed and soft seating were comfortable, and the kitchenette was well equipped for our long weekend of glamping. We added on a dozen eggs fresh from the onsite henhouse, and they were delicious! We enjoyed walking the many trails and hanging out at the river access on site. And we enjoyed meeting Christine who is a kind and friendly host. We look forward to returning—maybe for blackberry picking season!
My puppy and I LOVED the treehouse! It was cozy, quiet, & had just about everything you could need for a trip. There were dog treats, doggy shampoo, & a doggy towel which was awesome after spending the day on the trails. The property & the views were so beautiful and Christine was such a pleasant host. She made us feel right at home. 11/10 would recommend. I will definitely be taking another trip here during blackberry season!
Christine's home is absolutely amazing. The views are breathtaking and the hikes down to the water were a delight! It had everything we needed and she even stopped over the first night to make sure we settled in. The directions were spot on, definitely follow them. Definitely do not hesitate to book here, you wont regret it!!
What a wonderful stay at Christine’s treehouse! She has truly thought of everything to make this the perfectly cozy and relaxing stay. It has everything you need. The place is beautifully decorated and I felt like I was in a cozy artist’s studio. Even though the nights during our stay were cold, we were very warm and comfortable inside the treehouse with the heaters doing a great job. The views of the river from the treehouse is gorgeous and being able to open both garage doors to let the fresh air in really merged the outside freshness with the indoor relaxation. Christine’s property is also super cool! She has miles of hiking trails available and has stand up paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes available to use! There were even doggie life jackets! The treehouse is also only 45 minutes from Winston-Salem and the perfect weekend getaway. This is a stay we’d absolutely love to do again! (Also, make sure to follow the directions and NOT plug the treehouse address into Google Maps because that may lead you somewhere quite different).
Christine was an excellent host! The layout was great with amazing views of the Yadkin river. It slept 4 people very comfortably. We very much look forward to returning!
What a beautiful place to escape for a short week! The space was even larger than we expected from the pictures and was stocked with everything we needed. We'll be back soon. <3
The treehouse was gorgeous, and the land is clearly loved and well-tended. Christine and Ken were so very kind and responsive. Everything was clean and the kitchen was stocked with essentials. I wouldn't have changed a thing. Thank you for a great weekend.
We cannot believe our incredible good luck to have found this place. Christine and Ken cover everything - with so many thoughtful touches in every area to make our stay over the top. There is ample space for multiple tents with flat sandy/dirt as the base and boat-ramp access to the river. The large open kitchen area is beautiful and would hold many if it were raining. Our group was there for an annual get-together, and we’ve decided not to explore other locations or venues, looking forward to returning.
