Twin Falls Wilderness Retreat is a tranquil outdoor paradise immersed in nature, just a bike ride away from DuPont State Forest and all the waterfalls and trails it has to offer. This magical woodland features a majestic 50-foot double waterfall on the property that we call "Twin Falls." We currently offer four spacious campsites, each with its own fire ring, picnic table, and tent area. There is also a larger communal fire pit, picnic table, and hammock area where campers can relax, connect with each other, and enjoy peekaboo mountain views. We have a beautiful outdoor heated shower available for a small fee per use, along with a clean, regularly serviced portable toilet. We are pet-friendly, and our fur babies, Leia and Bo, love greeting our guests. We also have a small dog pond available for your furry friends. We ask that all dogs remain leashed at all times. Pet owners are responsible for respecting other guests by managing noise and preventing disruptive barking. Dogs must never be left unattended. We also welcome children and have plenty of room for them to explore and play. Please note that we have natural water areas that may be dangerous for children, so we ask that children remain within your line of sight at all times. Our sites are primitive and do not have electricity. We provide natural mountain spring water from two separate spigots. Because we are located in the mountains, the terrain is uneven and includes several hills. We cannot accommodate trailers or towed campers — tent camping and camper vans only. We have a canoe and kayak available on a first-come, first-served basis for guests who would like to explore nearby lakes and ponds. This is a true outdoor mountain experience. We are only ½ mile from the entrance to DuPont State Forest via Crab Creek Road/DuPont Road. We are also: • 5 minutes from Holmes Educational Forest (a favorite for children) • 15 minutes from Pisgah National Forest and Brevard, NC • 25 minutes from Hendersonville • 30 minutes from Asheville, NC We can accommodate small family reunions or spiritual retreats if all campsites are available at the time of booking. We can also host very small weddings, elopements, or proposals near the waterfall. All gatherings must be respectful, quiet, and nature-focused. No loud parties are permitted. Please bring your own tent and camping gear — we’ll provide the picture-perfect nature to help you reconnect, relax, and recharge.

Bo's Camp

Named after our super happy, fun-loving, energetic boy Bo. He is the sweetest Belgian Mallinois that ever exsisted. This is a large space near a little spring fed creek and at the very top of the campground. Peekaboo long range mountain views are really magical in spring, fall and winter when there are less leaves. Bo's Place has a large, flat pad for a tent and level ground for campervans. Private fire pit and picnic table. This is right next to the community fire pit and hammock.

Luke's Place

Named in memory of Luke, he was truly the best dog ever. This space is tucked away on the opposite side of the community fire pit. It also has it's own fire pit and picnic table.

Sequoia's Retreat

Named in memory of our sweet girl Sequioa, this site has all the feels of tranquility with views of massive trees almost as big as a real Sequoia. It is closest to the falls so the sounds are like a lullaby while you relax and enjoy the serenity. Private fire pit and picnic table. There is a magical path to a creek which ends at Bo's Camp. This site is also closest to the outdoor shower and very clean portable toilet with minimal slope/grade so it's a little easier for those who can't handle hills easily.

Site 4

Site 4 still needs a good name but until we find one, it will be site 4. This is the only site in the campground with electric and seasonally has water. It has it's own fire pit and table with 2 chairs. Peekaboo long range mountain views but in the months when the leaves are gone, the views are quite impressive. This site is also very close to Leia's Pond, a really cool 4 foot cement bottom pond with a tiny waterfall feature our dogs have fun playing in every day.
