Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping.
There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek.
There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area.
Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite.
Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

Please read the site descriptions carefully to match your style of camping with the appropriate campsite. BBA guests frequently camp with a tent, vehicle, smaller camper, hammock tent, roof top tent, pop-up camper and similar styles. Most photos in this listing are taken onsite. Please keep in mind this is primitive and wild Tennessee landscape that may also contain poisonous plants and wildlife in or around camp.
Access to fresh water fun is a short down-hill hike for all guests, with the exception of our hike-in campsites which are positioned alongside the river. Each spot has been strategically selected to provide as much privacy as possible, and comfortably accommodates groups with two vehicles. We provide a rock fire pit and heavy-duty, cast-iron grill grate. You provide everything else, including drinking water and personal toilet waste bags if you plan to use our system. The hike-in sites come with extra seating. Every guest must be included on your reservation, and adult guests may be required to provide identification. Thank you!
COMMUNITY COMFORT STATION: There is a comfort station with an outdoor shower stall for hanging your own solar shower bag. The comfort station also includes a changing room which doubles as a private place to use your portable camping toilet. A toilet seat and bucket system is provided but guests will need to use their own waste disposal bags, available at most camping supply stores. The backside of the comfort station has a rain barrel (not potable) collection system for extinguishing fires.
OFF-ROAD CONDITIONS: Due to the primitive nature of our location, all reservations should expect hilly terrain and potential bumpy or some muddy road access, especially after heavy rain. We ask all guests to help us minimize impacts by driving with care. Vehicles with low ground clearance or low-profile tires are no longer permitted to use the off-road drive and must park at the entrance. If you want a campsite with the shortest walk from the entrance parking area, you will want to select campsite 5, 9 or 6. When the road is open during unusually wet periods, we recommend AWD or 4WD as a precaution. We are continuously working on improvements for our off-road drive.
Belle and Beau Acres is a farm homestead with a personal campground, conveniently located less than five minutes from I40. Expect nothing short of 360 degree views of relaxing nature, privacy, and spontaneous adventure when recreating at this agritourism location. Central to the most beautiful middle Tennessee destinations, BBA is the perfect home base for hiking, biking, kayaking, and fishing excursions to at least 10 nearby state parks and lakes. Conveniently located on the Eastern Highland Rim between Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga in the lower Appalachian mountains, this area sits at the Upper Cumberland Plateau and is part of Tennessee's largest micropolitan area of Cookeville. Our location is phenomenal we are an hour from Knoxville and Asheville and just about 1/4 mile off I-40. Right at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and 35 minutes from Gatlinburg about 40 minutes to Pigeon Forge (Dollywood), also about 45 minutes to Sevierville and one of my favorite Tanger Outlets!! The beautiful Smoky Mountains the National Park is filled with hiking trails and horse stables and trails. Some of the best white water rafting is less then 5 miles up the road along with zip lining and a lil taste of moonshine here and there.
This property is primitive with no electric and has a camping style bathhouse. IT’s recommended for outdoor lovers and people that are not too needy. Hurricane Helene brought unforecasted changes in the land but the tranquility of the River remains. We have worked to restore as much as we could. As for us it’s still our happy place in the Smoky Mountains!

This camp spot on top of the mountain gave you all the amenities you need water, electric and an outhouse. You felt like you were so far from civilization but you we a stones throw from Benton Falls , Sugarloaf and some great hiking trails. Surrounded by watersport offering everywhere. Stephen picked up the phone when I called and directed me up the mountain to site #2. It was level ,gravel easy back in and start having fun. The view from the top of the other mountains was enjoyable with my coffee in the morning. The mountain is a little steep there is a sign when you should engage 4WD but I made it up with my Honda CRV no problem.

We had a great two days camping here. Clean site, electric and water were perfect. Wood provided for fire and peaceful....Just be advised the the sign up the road asks to engage 4x4 ....not noted in site description. If it rained or my vehicle was larger we may have not made it to the site.

We loved our stay at campsite 2 despite having to leave a day early due to rain. Campsites are clean as is the shower. I was able to use my inflatable paddle board in the pond no problem! We had a surprise guest from a property nearby and Randy was able to make some calls and figure out where he belonged. 10/10 stay

We really enjoyed our stay at low meadow farms it was close enough to town for access and yet still a peaceful getaway.
Fairly clean minus some residual cleanup that needed to happen in the stream after some flooding.
Very responsive to questions and concerns would definitely camp there again.

This campsite is a hidden gem! Crystal clear, cool water and the awesome bluffs made for a picture perfect place to escape the July heat. The grandkids had a blast swimming, fishing, catching crayfish and searching for that special rock. The campsite is so easy to pull thru and hook up. It is very quiet, with lots of amenities. The campsite is huge! It more like renting your own private park than a campsite!

Christine was more than helpful with navigation to the site, providing maps and clear directions to get us there safely! We had the most lovely time and plan on stopping back through on our way back (we just loved it that much) would recommend to anyone who’s just passing through or staying for a night or two! There is a BEAUTIFUL waterfall if you’re brave enough to venture down the creek bed too :)

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights and had the best experience! The hosts were so nice, accommodating and helpful!!! The campsites are HUGE and well spaced out, very private. The property is well kept and clean. The trails were clear and well kept, easy hike to a 27 foot gorgeous waterfall, we swam in the shaded creek right by it. There is a comfort station with an outdoor shower if you have a solar shower, ‘outhouse’, sewing kit, women’s hygiene items, extra bbq tools to borrow and tons more care items. Will definitely be back!

Nice land and host was super helpful. Easy to get too from Nashville. Campsite #2 was great and a bit isolated which was nice. Unfortunately if you take the ‘hiking trail’ you must be on the lookout for ticks. Grass is very long and after walking I found at least 10-12 ticks on my legs and they kept returning for the reminder of our stay. Because of this, was hard to focus on the good aspects but still a good campsite.

The grounds were beautiful, well maintained, and quiet. We comfortably had 8 people on our campsite, without feeling like we were on top of anyone else. The shower and porta potties were clean. Loved our stay and will definitely come back again!

The 'Ol place was straight forward and ready to find, camp sites count down as you go farther back on the lake. The site was clean and had a nice path to is own privy, shower house was a nice short walk around the lake. It's notable to mention that the shower is soft water. We had a peaceful time and the place to our selves one night!
