Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping.
There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek.
There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area.
Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite.
Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

Running Water Creek is a unique, fully off grid campground just 20 minutes to downtown Chattanooga. We have 80+ campsites spread out over 120 acres. Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid.
Some info about the property:
-we DO NOT have water or power hookups
-we have gravel roads with a 5 MPH speed limit on the property (if you drive too fast the roads will seem rough)
-we are right next to a highway and train tracks so there will be some noise (some days are better than others and we have no way of predicting how many trains will/will not go by)
-none of our campsites have picnic tables (please plan accordingly)
-most campsites have fire rings built, but if you choose a site without one you need to build your own

Looking for the perfect getaway, you will find some peace and quiet here! Only 14.6 miles from I-40 and located on 97 acres, this campground is surrounded by nature, very secluded and private. There is a crystal-clear creek that runs parallel with the driveway and fresh spring water flowing from pipe in the rock close to the entrance on American Way. The creek is bio-diverse, filled with fascinating species, and spring fed, which means it stays cool in the summertime. There are three beautiful homes which are able to be rented out as well as a fourth home that is for the property managers. The A-frame log cabin at the top of the hill is called the Lodge. The second home, which is a two-story brown log Cabin, offers individual bedrooms. The third home is the Cottage. This is a special place and we are happy and honored to share it with you!
Peaceful Hills Retreat, a family owned business, started in May of 2017. It all began when Jennifer’s brilliant brother booked a two-story home through Airbnb for Jennifer and the family for a week in the Carolinas. Their Airbnb vacation was a great experience, and she loved having a kitchen to cook in, while traveling with her large family. She gladly said goodbye to tiny hotel rooms. Linda and her daughter, Jennifer realized they desired to run a BnB, and watched the scattered pieces beautifully fall into place.
Peaceful Hills Retreat is also a wedding venue. There are three beautiful spots for a lovely outdoor wedding. The waterfall site is a favorite. The lodge is a beautiful place for the reception to take place outdoors

Tri Mountain View Campground is located in the Northeast corner of Tennessee in the town of Shady Valley. With an elevation of 2,800 feet, Shady Valley is the second highest town in Tennessee. It is just 26 miles from the Bristol Raceway and the Bristol Caverns. It is just a 15 minute drive to Backbone rock and a short drive to the Appalachian Trail. The property was a Dairy Farm and went out of business in the late 90’s and since then there has been over 3,000 trees planted. Some of these trees include the rare Butternut and Hazelnut, but mostly White Pine, Walnut and Oaks. The property has approximately 1,000 feet of fishing on Beaver dam creek, so we recommend bringing waders. There is also a shower house, washer and dryer.

We came to this magical place to found a self-reliant, homesteading eco-community when I retired from corporate life in 2006. It's called the Village on Sewanee Creek, named for the creek 800 feet below the bluff where we are located.
I traveled the world as a senior executive for Baskin-Robbins, Dunkin' Donuts, Papa Johns, Blockbuster, 7-Eleven and other retail franchises, making the world safe for Pizza, Ice Cream, Pancakes Video Rentals and American convenience. And I was ready for something more fufilling. I scouted for a place of exquisite natural beauty and I found it here. I bought way too much land just before the real estate bust and learned how to turn a nice fortune into a very small one.
I faced challenges and had lots of fun. Now I want to share our experience.

Beautiful off-grid cabin within walking distance of the Appalachian Trail. Sleeps 4. Nestled on the mountainside with plenty of privacy. The roomy loft has an extra-long bed, and the sofa and chair also fold down into beds. Power boxes and a generator provide electricity.
A separate bathhouse includes a sink, composting toilet, and full-size shower. The property also features a creek with a picnic table and fire pit.
The cabin is set on the side of the mountain, so while the path up is short (about 1/10 of a mile), it is steep in parts.

Our location is phenomenal we are an hour from Knoxville and Asheville and just about 1/4 mile off I-40. Right at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and 35 minutes from Gatlinburg about 40 minutes to Pigeon Forge (Dollywood), also about 45 minutes to Sevierville and one of my favorite Tanger Outlets!! The beautiful Smoky Mountains the National Park is filled with hiking trails and horse stables and trails. Some of the best white water rafting is less then 5 miles up the road along with zip lining and a lil taste of moonshine here and there.
This property is primitive with no electric and has a camping style bathhouse. IT’s recommended for outdoor lovers and people that are not too needy. Hurricane Helene brought unforecasted changes in the land but the tranquility of the River remains. We have worked to restore as much as we could. As for us it’s still our happy place in the Smoky Mountains!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. The hosts are very quick to respond and send a lot of information before arrival. It was quiet and the tent sites were clean and a good distance from each other so that you don't feel like you are camping on top of one another. There are two bathrooms so when the site was full at times there might be a small wait to use the restroom. Bathrooms were very clean and I appreciate that they have a wash sink outside so that you can wash your dishes. There is no cell service but they do have WiFi at the site. Roads to the site can be tight and have a few blind spots so go slow and take your time. I cannot wait to camp with them again.

This was one of the nicest campgrounds i have ever stayed at! Not only was the view from the hill gorgeous, but the atmosphere was peaceful. Sites are well spread out, bathrooms are clean, and the hosts were extremely kind and friendly. It rained a lot during my trip but they had a barn available for us to still make food and play games since we only had a car and a tent. I highly recommend staying here!

The easement road is accessible by car, but i would definitely suggest a vehicle with some clearance if you aren’t used to driving gravel roads! Got to the spot in my VW golf but ended up switching out to my SUV to return for the night.

We loved our two night stay at the Beech Tree House. The Tree House is an admirable and creative construction nestled on the edge of a cliff right next to a Beech tree. It was fun to stay on the futon bed which is under a roof but on the edge of being 'outside' - so one could listen to night sounds, watch the night sky, and drift in and out of dreams. The night sky was incredible with so many stars!
The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook. There was also a grill and a firepit. The shower was strong and warm.
Our daughter who loves art and drawing enjoyed the sketches and paintings guests have left in the Treehouse. She added to the collection.
This was our second stay at The Falls at Sewanee Creek. The first time we stayed in the Trampoline Tree Tent - also fun, but more bare bones than the Tree House. We love the grounds, the opportunity to wander down the gorge at the base of the water fall, and all of the creative dwellings and whimsical art that are around the property.
Grant and Becky are fantastic and thoughtful hosts. Check in and check out was easy and quick, always coupled with an interesting conversation with Grant.
We came back for a second visit because we loved everything about The Falls at Sewanee Creek, and because there are great hikes nearby with beautiful old growth forests and rock formations (check out the Fiery Gizzard Trail).

This is literally a field at a quiet little horse farm, and it's exactly what I wanted. Its perfect if you like tent or truck camping. Its safe and secluded, no frills, close to town, and cheap. The bathroom and shower are built into the side of a shed and is mostly outdoors, but is still private and the water is hot. The shower stall could use a bit of cleaning but is serviceable. I will defiantly definitely return.

On our cross country trip, I booked this site super last minute and it was a great experience. We ended up arriving pretty late, but the host answered her phone and directed us to our site very kindly. There were some dogs in the distance that were barking most of the time, but that wasn’t super noticeable. And obviously nothing the host can do about that :)

Perfect place to chill and unwind. Easy to find. The hosts were both communicative. Clean bathrooms. Amazing view. I had a great time.
