OUR NEW CABIN IS OPEN MAY 24, 2026!!!! Located on one acre of our 10 acre hobby farm, which includes 2 peacocks, chickens(only 1 rooster now, so it's much quieter!) AKC registered Show Collies, cats and a goat named Pickles. While we are still working on the outside, the interior is ready to give our guests very unique getaway. Our tent was fun, but a cabin was always the dream, and we are very excited to have our first cabin guests! A spacious 16 x 18 cabin built on the rocks for a very unique, relaxing, peaceful and comfortable off the grid experience. Situated on one acre of our property, you will be provided with queen size bed, comfortable daybed, reading space, game area and a coffee station. Plenty of battery candles and lighting, with a large Yeti battery for charging or electric needs. We also provide water for drinking and washing up. We have a cedar outhouse with composting toilet, no showers, as the cabin is completely off the grid. Firepit with plenty of seating to hang around in the evenings, pretty wooded views from the cabin to wake up to in the mornings. The cabin will accommodate 4 adults, and we do allow you to bring your own tent if you choose to do so, as we allow up to 6 campers per night.
REI BRAND tents for rent for an additional fee. We provide plates, utensils, cups, and some pans for cooking, and there is a gas grill provided. You will find a coffee maker with supplies for coffee, hot chocolate and tea. Lots of solar powered lights and string lights around the trees for a wonderful ambience in the evenings.

We have water, septic and electrical hook ups (50 amp). This is a back in site. If you are not comfortable backing in, this is not the site for you! If you are staying over the colder months, we do not allow the use of space heaters. You must be using propane to heat. This is a farm and you are free to roam about in the front field around the camp site and watch the sunset, relax and simply enjoy nature. We are less than an hour drive to 4 different Tennessee State Parks and about 40 minutes east of Nashville. We do not typically allow dogs for long term stays We have had some confusion come up because people aren't reading the site specifications, so here is the most important. It is a gravel site, so it is not level. We do have cinder blocks at the site to help with leveling. The site is going to accommodate rigs 35 to 36 ft max However, you MUST be comfortable backing your rig. In the winter, it is dark here by 4:30-5. So if you arrive at that time you will be setting up in the dark. Make sure you are reading the rules and safety for what is allowed here.

Quarter Spring Farm is located in Liberty, TN on the western edge of the Cumberland Plateau. It comprises 63 acres of wooded ridges and hollows with exceptional hiking and distinct landscape features. Smith Fork Creek, which feeds Center Hill Lake, is visible from the campsite. Quarter Spring Farm’s history is murky and still being discovered. The house is over 100 years old. There are stone property walls that may predate the civil war. We believe this site was a Mississippian period settlement because of the large amount of artifacts we have found.
Please note: there is no electricity at the dome. There will be a battery with a light and the option to charge your phone. There is no parking at the dome. The walk is uphill and takes about 5 minutes or so. This is still a tent, the dome is not insulated and is not 100% sealed. Bugs do get inside from time to time. I will also provide you with water for cleaning and at least a gallon to drink. Just let me know if you need more. If you can get here before it gets dark, that is the best. If you can’t, that’s ok, we’ll just be hiking in the dark. Luckily I know my way around pretty good.

We discovered this small homestead 18 years ago. It was built by a man preparing to go off grid, but he never did. In the intervening time, we became enthralled with growing vegetables, raising ducks, grazing sheep and hiking the hills behind us.
Then Nicole discovered permaculture and began the process of changing the land using these practices. With our three dogs, cats, goats, sheep, rabbits, ducks and chicken (there is only one chicken), things can be pretty merry around her. There are aquaponics and hydroponics to check out for fun. Plus, Nicole is one of the region's only craft coffee roasters, so you are in for a treat if you come visit and like coffee because she tends to make coffee most mornings.

The camp site is a two-minute walk from the driveway and outhouse so be prepared to carry items in and take your morning constitutional walk.

Hidden Timbers Homestead is a 7 acre campground retreat just 25 minutes outside the city of Nashville. With its open space and tall trees, it’s a private getaway still close to the action. The easy access and gravel roads give way to covered camping spots and quiet slips. The property also serves as a working homestead in its early years of development. On any given day you may be accompanied on your walks by our farm dogs or a chicken or two.
Here you’ll find peace.
It’s our goal that you leave revived and refreshed after hiding away for a few days on the homestead.

My kids and I had the best time at the GeoDome! A much needed break from the city. We played games all night. But first enjoyed our hiked in dinner on the patio with the sunset. The rainstorm sounded lovely as it put us to sleep. Accommodations were comfortable. And the visits from the goats were a delight. We look forward to coming back in the fall. Hopefully to make use of the wood burning stove.

We absolutely stumbled onto a hidden gem with this HipCamp stay. The property was peaceful, beautiful, and felt like something straight out of a storybook. Huge wooded trails, wildlife everywhere, quiet campsites, and the sweetest screened-in sitting area with fresh flowers waiting for us when we arrived.
But what truly made this place unforgettable was the host, Ditte. She went above and beyond in every possible way. We were welcomed with a thoughtful gift bag that included homemade elderflower jam, fire starters, dog treats for our pup, and a hand-drawn map of the entire 50-acre property with trails marked out. She even brought us fresh eggs for breakfast!
The trails were gorgeous and clearly loved and cared for. We saw peacocks, toads, peaceful forest paths, and little signs throughout the woods that made the whole experience feel magical and personal. It honestly felt less like renting a campsite and more like being welcomed onto someone’s little slice of paradise.
If you’re looking for a relaxing, nature-filled escape with an incredibly kind host, this is it. We already can’t wait to come back.” 🌲✨🐾🥚🦚

Lovely spot. Communication with Elisabeth was great! It was so nice to have a quiet place to park in a pretty, woodsy setting and still be near the city. It was raining heavily, but it would've been nice to enjoy the fire pit and seating area if the weather were nicer!

1 night at Quarter Spring Farm
The dome was a unique stay! The ambiance inside the dome was surprisingly homey. We got to enjoy a beautiful sunset and saw the goats and sheep on their morning walk about.
The walk up to the dome is a little steep and rocky at first, but otherwise not too bad.

We drove in from Louisiana for one night just to see a show in Nashville. This was the perfect place to park and van camp for a night. The homestead is peaceful, host was great. The shower house and restrooms are very nice and clean. Loved our stay.

Incredible place to camp! The creatures are really cool and the camper is just awesome. My favorite part was listening to bigfoot recordings from 1975 on the provided cassette tapes while sitting around the fire. Also has a good supply of VHS tapes to watch on the provided little TV while it stormed outside.

Weekend Trip to Quarter Spring Farm
We cannot possibly recommend thunder dome any more enthusiastically! Our weekend was so relaxing. Heather greeted us upon arrival and helped us get everything to the dome. The dome itself is perfectly cozy and quaint. Wood stove was so nice and warm on a chilly spring night, and the bed was comfy. This is THE definition of glamping. And the property is gorgeous with several trails into the woods. Last but not least, their goats are absolutely adorable, and one even bonded with us and followed us back to the dome. Absolutely perfect place for a weekend getaway in nature!

Overview
About
Cedars of Lebanon State Park offers 1,139 acres of natural beauty in Middle Tennessee. Named for the eastern red cedar trees that reminded early American settlers of the famed Biblical cedar forests that thrived across Mount Lebanon in the Mediterranean, it also provides a wealth of recreational and wildlife viewing opportunities. The park has four trails that meander through woodlands and meadows where you can look for foxes, deer, squirrels, rabbits, and turkeys. After a peaceful hike, enjoy a picnic lunch beneath a canopy of these majestic trees and then camp (both tents and RVs are welcome) under the starry skies.
Notable campgrounds
- Best for animal lovers: Chatty Heifer Farm permits pets and invites campers to visit with their goats, cows, pigs, and chickens.
- Best for a one-of-a-kind experience: Hike to the geodesic dome at Quarter Spring Farm.
- Best for stargazing: The Farm on Douglas Ridge is next to the highest spot in the county and boasts the best views of the moon and stars in the area.
Tips for snagging a campsite
- You can reserve the park’s 117 campsites in advance via the Tennessee State Parks website. Reservations are available all year-round.
- Campsite reservations open 12 months in advance.
- The park is a popular destination due to its proximity to Nashville. So book your campsite well in advance, especially during peak seasons, holidays, and weekends.
When to go
Cedars of Lebanon State Park invites you to visit at all times of the year. However, spring and fall usher in mild temperatures that are perfect for hiking. May and June, with its green tree and blooming flowers, provide a delightful window between spring rainfall and the oppressive heat of late summer. October offers crisp air, brilliant foliage, and very little rain. During the summertime, swimming and boating provide relief from the heat.
Know before you go
- Find Cedars of Lebanon State Park about 30 miles east of Nashville. The drive takes less than 40 minutes.
- There is an admission fee for day-use visitors, while separate fees apply for camping.
- Each site contains picnic tables, grills, and RV hookups. There is also a bathhouse within each campground loop.
- The park features additional amenities like a nature center, swimming pool, and a disc golf course.
