The amount of time, care and attention that Keith's put into bringing the place back to life is impressive. The porch, bathroom, slabs around the firepit and cooking areas, bedding, managing of the grounds, the list goes on... It's a cool spot, and I enjoyed learning some of the background of the place from him.

We entered the cabin to find our bedsheets covered in dead bugs, alive bugs on my pillowcase, what appeared to be rodent droppings in the shower, giant bug traps covered in spiders and cockroaches, and what looked like nests in the ceiling, and mold in the drawers meant to be used for food. We had to leave the premises and find last minute lodging which made our vacation start off very hectic. The host has been unresponsive and not interested in working with us on finding a solution.

Upon arriving to this HipCamp dead bugs were EVERYWHERE. And there was urine in the toilet. We found USED k-cups in a dresser drawer resulting in mold in one of the drawers and a musty smell, there was trash in the bin that wasn't ours, there were live bugs and nests on the ceilings, dead bugs in the shower, dead bugs on the ground, and old leaves in the dresser drawers. We contacted hip-camp support and left right away, resulting in a frantic search for last minute lodging. We didn't want to disturb the host with these issues since we arrived a bit past check-in but the vibe was overall not great, and I didn't feel safe. I wanted to give the host the benefit of the doubt but theres a difference between a couple of bugs here and there and the amount of bugs we experienced down to multiple dead bugs on the comforter. If I wanted to sleep with bugs I would have paid much less to camp outside. This is unacceptable, and we are quite frankly upset that we would've been potentially ingesting mold, bringing home bugs, or getting all bit up while sleeping in what we thought was a better alternative to camping. Do not stay here.

This was a lovely one room historic log cabin with an attached very nice bathroom. We had everything we needed for a one week stay.
We brought our Insta pot to cook with, but he also supplied a very good set up with a gas or charcoal grill to cook on.
It was a beautiful and great location. The host was exceptional, and we enjoyed visiting with him daily.
We would definitely stay there again!

This place was magical. You sleep in what was the original kitchen on the homestead, complete with a big rock fireplace, which you are welcome to use.
There is also a corn crib and a one room schoolhouse on the property along with the original log cabin.
Keith was the perfect host.

It was such a relaxing night! We slept well. Learning the history of the land was very cool. Our dogs loved the cabin and running around the property. Keith has taken great care of the property and done it justice. We will definitely come back.

Historic Log Cabin
A charming little cabin on a beautiful property! I stayed here with my three dogs, and they loved having the space to roam freely. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, and the modern bathroom was a nice touch. Both the main room and the bathroom have their own window unit. Keith was wonderful to chat with, a friendly and welcoming host.

This place is just magical. So much history and if you want to know the story, just ask Keith! Who, btw, is an incredible human who will make you feel comfortable and completely at home, but also away from it.
Amenities, there is not a kitchen, but there is a mini fridge and a microwave. There aren’t any cooking implements, or dishes, but there is a propane grill, hibachi (charcoal), and HUGE firepit, and if you need some cookware, Keith can hook you up (not to blow up his spot). The bed is super comfortable, don’t try lighting a fire unless the flu in the fireplace is wide open(ask us how we know), the shower gets hot, two ac units keep it super comfortable, and there’s a spider we named “ole’ 4 legs” (she has 8 legs, we just called her that for short) that builds a web on the porch each evening that is magical to watch.
Other than it being perfect, it’s even more perfect when it rains. The front porch is the perfect vantage point for the mist relaxing time you’ve EVER had listening to the rain.
Ok, I’m going to stop before I give away too much of the secret and we can never book it again. That being said, it’s terrible and you’ll hate it. Stay away. 😜 jk it’s amazing. Thank you, Keith!

Great place to stay to get out of the heat! Larger than expected! Nice shower! Lovely covered deck and fire pit area. There were outside games and a grill too! Host was super welcoming! And gave lots of ideas for the surrounding areas.

Historic Log Cabin
Gorgeous cabin and I slept like a log. The bathroom was more than I expected for an 18th c. cabin. I arrived later than intended so didn't get a chance to start a fire, but the fire pit looked very inviting. Keith was very kind and accommodating to a change in schedule and suggested places for breakfast in the AM. Would absolutely recommend if you would like a relaxing place to stay for the evening.

Keith was very welcoming and had our cabin ready upon arrival. It was a very comfortable stay as we rested up before continuing our journey. So easy to check in and out. Beautiful area! Hope to return.

Great location. Keith was very friendly and helpful. Property was clean and well maintained. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.
Only disappointment was that there was no Claw foot tub like in the pics but, that wasn't a huge deal.
Fire pit was great to lounge around.

Very peaceful. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. Stayed for two night for my daughter’s birthday. The spring within walking distance is so beautiful and the kids loved swimming in it. The fire pit was really nice and relaxing. Grills were really clean and easy to use. Keith was very nice and very helpful. Very relaxing at night absolutely in love with it perfect for couples trying to get away!!!

Great little rustic cabin with a full bathroom attached. The queen size bed was comfortable and we slept very well. We brought our own wood so the fireplace was great! We got creative cooking with the grill and microwave, plus brought our own camp stove. Don’t forget your dishes, silverware, and other necessities for clean-up or cooking. The mini-fridge was helpful. It was under 20 degrees during our stay, the cabin is drafty, and it takes awhile to warm up, so if winter camping, bring extra blankets. We felt warm enough with our extra blankets and pillows! Keith is very friendly, and it didn’t bother us at all with the main house near by. We look forward to staying again!

Keith was an amazing host! Very welcoming and responsive and friendly. There’s no claw foot tub in the cabin but the stone fireplace and brand new fireplace made up for it. We would stay here again and highly recommend this place!

Great little get away. I live in the nashville area and i was so happy to just come stay a night in a quiet cozy little cabin. Great fire pit and super peaceful. The pup had blast running free and i didnt hear any sirens or traffic the whole time i was there! Keith had everything ready for me when i arrived. Great host! Would highly recommend checking this gem out! Thanks again for a great stay!

Site was great for a quiet evening away. Keith is a fantastic host. Highly recommend grabbing dinner at the Fried Tater just a couple of minutes up the road. I’ll be back!

Mr Keith was very nice. I think for us we were looking for a more remote style get away so being pretty close to Mr Keith's house took some of that magic away but the cabin was really nice and legit. I didn't gather it would be that way from the photos. He provides a very warm welcome and we went to Christiana, TN to Millers Grocery, (after Mr Keith gave us advice to do so). They were sweet little establishment and had live music. Over all we were happy with how close it is from Nashville to get to for a Dad son hang for a 1 day getaway. I would recommend but I would also say that if you're looking for a more remote get away this prob isn't it. The bathroom was nice and there is shower in it. It was neat to stay in a cabin that was built in 1790. We do like history so it was really cool to have been able to stay in a place older than the town of Franklin.

First off I want to say Keith was amazing me and my wife got there late and he met us outside to welcome us his land is beautiful and the cabin was perfect I wanted a little get away for me and my wife and I could not have been happier with everything that the cabin offered it was perfect it had know tv and we barely had cell service so we played bord games and spent much needed one on one time together the cabin was clean and perfect with a beautiful fire place wood burning I brought along my own wood so we had a fire every night in the beautiful fire place it was just perfect to disconnect and get away for a couple days me and my wife both loved it Keith also had a lot of information to offer about his cabin and property and the sorounding county bell buckle Tn we loved it there small town not far from the cabin and they had grate food and the bell buckle cafa thanks so much Keith for your hospitality and letting us enjoy the cabin for a couple nights we will be back everything was amazing

I fell in love with this cabin from the second I stepped inside. It’s a perfect quick rustic getaway for anyone living in the middle Tennessee area. Even beyond it’s a great place to check out.
It’s the perfect blend of rustic with the real fireplace, original cabin walls from the late 1700’s and one room construction, but also has some great modern amenities like an attached bathroom, mini fridge and even a microwave! The bed is extremely comfortable and the air conditioners came in handy when it was time to sleep.
Keith was a great host, was happy to share some of the history of the property with me and made sure I had everything I needed. I will absolutely be booking this cabin again.

Keith’s cabin is the ultimate place to rewind. The cabin is historical and cozy. I built a fire and could hear the coyotes and owls. I also grilled a filet on the provided gas grill. The bed was comfy and the window ac unit put off the perfect temperature and white noise. 10/10
