Please read the site descriptions carefully to match your style of camping with the appropriate campsite. BBA guests frequently camp with a tent, vehicle, smaller camper, hammock tent, roof top tent, pop-up camper and similar styles. Most photos in this listing are taken onsite. Please keep in mind this is primitive and wild Tennessee landscape that may also contain poisonous plants and wildlife in or around camp.
Access to fresh water fun is a short down-hill hike for all guests, with the exception of our hike-in campsites which are positioned alongside the river. Each spot has been strategically selected to provide as much privacy as possible, and comfortably accommodates groups with two vehicles. We provide a rock fire pit and heavy-duty, cast-iron grill grate. You provide everything else, including drinking water and personal toilet waste bags if you plan to use our system. The hike-in sites come with extra seating. Every guest must be included on your reservation, and adult guests may be required to provide identification. Thank you!
COMMUNITY COMFORT STATION: There is a comfort station with an outdoor shower stall for hanging your own solar shower bag. The comfort station also includes a changing room which doubles as a private place to use your portable camping toilet. A toilet seat and bucket system is provided but guests will need to use their own waste disposal bags, available at most camping supply stores. The backside of the comfort station has a rain barrel (not potable) collection system for extinguishing fires.
OFF-ROAD CONDITIONS: Due to the primitive nature of our location, all reservations should expect hilly terrain and potential bumpy or some muddy road access, especially after heavy rain. We ask all guests to help us minimize impacts by driving with care. Vehicles with low ground clearance or low-profile tires are no longer permitted to use the off-road drive and must park at the entrance. If you want a campsite with the shortest walk from the entrance parking area, you will want to select campsite 5, 9 or 6. When the road is open during unusually wet periods, we recommend AWD or 4WD as a precaution. We are continuously working on improvements for our off-road drive.
Belle and Beau Acres is a farm homestead with a personal campground, conveniently located less than five minutes from I40. Expect nothing short of 360 degree views of relaxing nature, privacy, and spontaneous adventure when recreating at this agritourism location. Central to the most beautiful middle Tennessee destinations, BBA is the perfect home base for hiking, biking, kayaking, and fishing excursions to at least 10 nearby state parks and lakes. We came to this magical place to found a self-reliant, homesteading eco-community when I retired from corporate life in 2006. It's called the Village on Sewanee Creek, named for the creek 800 feet below the bluff where we are located.
I traveled the world as a senior executive for Baskin-Robbins, Dunkin' Donuts, Papa Johns, Blockbuster, 7-Eleven and other retail franchises, making the world safe for Pizza, Ice Cream, Pancakes Video Rentals and American convenience. And I was ready for something more fufilling. I scouted for a place of exquisite natural beauty and I found it here. I bought way too much land just before the real estate bust and learned how to turn a nice fortune into a very small one.
I faced challenges and had lots of fun. Now I want to share our experience.

The best part about this site are the views! Relax on the side of the Cumberland Plateau while overlooking Burroughs Cove and the Elk River. You can see the camp sites from the main road, so there will be some road noise.
Sites 1/2 are hard/large graveled, tent camping will be very challenging, heavy duty tent stakes are highly recommended with mats/padding.
There is an electrical box at each end of the hard graveled parking areas (Sites 1 and 2) with 20- and 30-amp plugs, plus 110v. If the power is not working, please check the panel and turn on/reset the breakers, many of our guests turn them off when departing. If you are at Site #2 and the steps above do not work, please check/do the same at the Site #1 panel (it is the master power source).
Water is NOT available on site. NOTE: Depending on the time of year (warmer months only) a water container with a limited amount of NON-POTABLE water is on site for your use. Please plan on filling your water reservoir(s) PRIOR to arriving. There is an outhouse for all guests, picnic tables and fire rings for Sites 1 and 2. The camping area is fairly close to SR-50 so please expect to hear some road noise, more so in the winter months.
The entrance/driveway is on a small incline, if you are traveling in a light vehicle and a heavy camper, it's best to maintain a slow and steady speed to the camp site (for almost everyone, this is not an issue). If you are towing a camper, we recommend the total length of the vehicle and the trailer not exceeding 30ft, There is not a significant place to "turn around" at the sites and novice drivers (not used to backing out of tight spots with longer rigs) may find this very challenging.
There is a double gate that is usually closed, and latched so it stays closed, it is not "locked". The site is self-serve (not manned), Site #1 is to the left, Site #2 is to the right, and Site #3 is down the path past the outhouse at the bottom of the path. It is recommended that campers set up early for Site 3 (still daylight) to get an idea of the layout. Parking for Site #3 is by the shed at the main entrance and power is not available at the site.

There is a crystal-clear creek that runs parallel with the driveway and fresh spring water flowing from pipe in the rock close to the entrance on American Way. The creek is bio-diverse, filled with fascinating species, and spring fed, which means it stays cool in the summertime. There are three beautiful homes which are able to be rented out as well as a fourth home that is for the property managers. The A-frame log cabin at the top of the hill is called the Lodge. The second home, which is a two-story brown log Cabin, offers individual bedrooms. The third home is the Cottage. This is a special place and we are happy and honored to share it with you!
Peaceful Hills Retreat, a family owned business, started in May of 2017. It all began when Jennifer’s brilliant brother booked a two-story home through Airbnb for Jennifer and the family for a week in the Carolinas. Their Airbnb vacation was a great experience, and she loved having a kitchen to cook in, while traveling with her large family. She gladly said goodbye to tiny hotel rooms. Linda and her daughter, Jennifer realized they desired to run a BnB, and watched the scattered pieces beautifully fall into place.
Peaceful Hills Retreat is also a wedding venue. There are three beautiful spots for a lovely outdoor wedding. The waterfall site is a favorite. The lodge is a beautiful place for the reception to take place outdoors

The dwellings are spaced far enough apart for privacy yet not to far of a walk to the common area where the kitchen and shower are. You'll be surprised at how cool the tents stay under the forest canopy in the heat of summer. Then in the colder months we have various heating options to keep you cozy in 3 of the dwellings. Come to share this with us, it's an amazingly peaceful area.
Nearly 3 miles of hiking trails to enjoy during your visit. Take a spur trail off the main trail loop and there is a prayer shelter with a fire pit inspired by Luke 6:12 in the back corner of the property. Located at the edge of the prairie on the main trail is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, Blackstone grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill.
A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer!

The cabin is nestled on over 5 acres of wooded land complete with 2 wet weather streams. Just off the covered back porch you'll find an outdoor fire pit, chairs, an outdoor kitchen with a rain collection barrel for washing dishes, and a picnic table illuminated by solar string lights. We have one disc golf goal and a croquet set if yard games are your thing. Or simply relax and play fetch with your dog and watch your cat play on the set of cat steps leading up their very own cat-sized cabin.
Other amenities include basic cookery and dinnerware, a Coleman stove (please bring your own propane), an outhouse, board games, art supplies, local hiking guides, trash service, and more.

This is a one room historic log cabin furnished with a queen bed. It has a stone fireplace. This cabin has a large new bathroom with a tile shower. There is a microwave oven, refrigerator with small freezer, Keurig coffee maker, small dining table indoors and one on the covered porch.
Hiking: Old Stone Fort is located 43 minutes away, with beautiful waterfalls.
Rock Climbing and Hiking: at Stone Door, Foster Falls, and Denny Cove, all 1 hr 24 minutes away.
Biking: the 12 mile Stones River Greenway is 13 minutes away.

This place is amazing. It is truly a retreat. It is a spiritual place. There is an energy there that is beautiful. You can walk a trail with eight Buddhas and read these affirmations that just are simple and tell you to breathe in good things and breathe out bad things. It’s so beautiful. I could not recommend this place more. The people who own it and run it are amazing and kind and very generous. I will be back here regularly. Just to go hang out and spend a couple of nights there here and there. It’s $12. Well, $15 with tax to sleep in a tent for crying out loud. I mean come on that’s amazing. I love this place. It’s beautiful. The energy is clean and peaceful and regenerative.

4 nights at The Falls at Sewanee Creek
This is our second time staying at the Beech Treehouse. What a magical place. Its quiet, calm, a perfect place to recharge. At night, fireflies come out to light the treelines. Deer can also be sleeping in the field in front of the tree house at night. The cooking setup is quite nice also, if you want to cook your own meals. The AC in the loft is a nice touch during summer. Such a wonderful experience.

My partner and I had the BEST time camping at this property. We loved the creek and our campsite had perfect privacy and proximity to the comfort station. Christine was a very lovely and kind host. Very responsive and helpful and she even went above and beyond to help recover a necklace I left at camp.
This property was such a thriving natural space that was exactly what we were looking for to celebrate our love.

This place was great. I booked the site last minute and the hosts were responsive and warm. We had plenty of room to set up a tent and bonfire, and the site felt safe (important to me as a solo female) to lay outside and stargaze at 3am.
My son and I were surprised by a golden retriever and friendly kitty who joined us for a while!
The outdoor shower was well kept with great water pressure. This was a lifesaver with the high temps!
A great find. Would love to stay in one of the cabins another time!

only thing i will say is that the entrance is gated (great, i love that i felt safe) but if you have a big vehicle over 25/30 ft, like a truck and trailer, the section of driveway before the gate, is not long at all so you’ll have to leave your vehicle in the road (hazards on obviously)and open the gate before pulling into the drive. the gate opens towards the road.

We loved the whole experience of going to Honeysuckle! The whole campground is beautiful. The sites are a nice size and spaced apart nicely so everyone can have their privacy. The viewpoints of the smokies was incredible on the hikes that are just on the property. We loved the stay in the RV and will definitely look into the cabin for next time with our family.
