Sway Forest Private Camp
Absolutely MAGICAL! Such a beautiful site; I felt like I was in heaven and got out with surprisingly few bug bites. The path to the campsite was a little bit rough but the experience was amazing.

I love this place!!!
The land is absolutely magical, I am so grateful for the peaceful experience. You get to be within what feels like an infinite amount of trees while also near a River (lil mini water falls!) We we’re the only campers, so it felt like we had all of the land to ourselves. I love the sway campsite that we booked. It was in a wide open field , allowing us to receive the sun medicine, but also surrounded by trees. I have T-Mobile & did not have phone service at all, it stopped working within about a 15 miles in proximity to the land. My partner has Verizon & he was able to get one bar of signal. Not that this matters, but just in case any fellow travelers aren’t able to go off the grid, so to speak. One of my favorite parts of the experience is when my partner & I decided to explore a mysterious trail into the trees, it let us to various campsites & then to the river. We walked along the river & came across a rope swing that was so much fun, you catch a lot of air over the river yet it’s secured in a very safe way. It was so exciting to stumble upon it without first knowing it was there. My inner child certainly woke up. There’s only one thing that I didn’t like about the experience, day1 we woke up to VERY loud machine sounds. It sounded like huge bulldozers taking out trees. I was a little upset at first because I came there to get away from noise pollution. The second day, I went to investigate & found that it was just one guy in a big tractor thingy. He saw me & moved a lil!

Hammock Sway is the spot!
My girlfriend and I came to Chris’s property for a weekend camping trip as we love to camp but hadn’t in a while. Chris was an amazing host and was very flexible with where we could set up camp. Would definitely recommend this place to someone looking to get away and disconnect for a little bit.

Sway Forest Private Camp
We camped as a group of 9 with 2 dogs! Plenty of space and such a beautiful location. Chris came out to greet us and was really kind. We will be back.

Amazing host and land!
Chris's land and his kind and friendly demeanor were everything you hope for when camping. He was welcoming, accommodating and went above and beyond for us during our stay. Furthermore, his land was beautiful with fields, woods, and a river. If you're looking to get away from people and relax outside, this is an excellent choice!

Chris was a super nice fella and his property was gorgeous. Me and my friend had a very nice stay. Lots of area to explore and hike without leaving the property and it was very private and secluded. Would totally recommend !!

Soul Play RV
Chris was really nice and we had a great time. He gave really good directions and met us at the gate. Gave us enough firewood for the first night and let us use a lantern for our stay there. Great location that is really close to Rock Island and Fall Creek Falls State parks among other nice places to hike . I would stay here again but in one of his other spots and not the RV as I like sleeping under the stars. Really nice access to the river here and we enjoyed the swing. Thanks for a great weekend.

We really enjoyed camping on Chris’s land. We had a private space and were able to let our dogs roam (we have 3 little girls and they all got along well with Chris’s dog). The trees were gorgeous and, as the name of the property suggests, great for throwing a hammock up. There was also a clearing that allowed us to check out the stars. Chris was responsive and friendly. We hope to come back soon!

Pristine campsite in nature
This was the perfect camping spot in my opinion: Private camp setting, a minute walk from a beautiful creek, relaxing nature, great site options, and an A+ host. We rolled our van into the pines, found some flat ground, and stayed the night. The morning was super relaxing as I walked around and explored the sites. We wanted something a little extra nice as we were with our three week old bebe and we were not disappointed.. I’m looking forward to coming back and using the campsite as a jump spot for rock climbing in the area or hiking in the surrounding parks.

Tent Camping in the Pine Forrest
Chris allowed us to stay on his big group pine Forrest grounds because the river was low due to drought. The Forrest was beautiful and allowed for full immersion into nature.
Chris was a wonderful host and I recommend booking with him.

Perfect spot for contemplation
Chris the host was friendly and welcoming. He provided great directions to finding the place, welcomed me when I arrived, and personally escorted me to the site.
I stayed at this site while visiting Isha Institute of Inner Sciences, which was a short drive away. The site was serene and secluded. The array of colors and leaf litter from the turning of the Autumn season made the site especially spectacular. There was plenty of flat ground, perfect for pitching a tent without worrying about sliding in to your tent wall in the middle of the night. I hung a hammock in nearby trees for a cozy night's sleep. I also enjoyed a campfire in the solid fire ring using the wood that was available for purchase.
Great place to stay if you are looking for some time alone, for some place to contemplate, or while visiting the Isha Institute and you enjoy primitive camping.
