I loved staying here! There were many options for us to set up camp and the animals were all so friendly! The indoor bathroom is always a plus and Kimber was very kind.

We had a great time staying here in our van. The horses and donkey were sweet. The lynx was super cool. Kimber was very kind and graciously helped us out of some mud we got stuck in. We also had a great time getting to know her and some other campers around a fire. This is a very country set up - everything works but it's the opposite of fancy so be prepared for practical.

Had a great experience here ! The host was nice as pie and Annie the donkey was just a real treat and the most friendly donkey this side of the Mississippi . The campground itself isn’t far at all from town or the national park . Would for sure book again !

We had a uniquely great experience camping on Kimber's land. Our travel trailer rolled into the fenced in area adjacent to a sheltered picnic area and fire pit. The dog loved being off leash!
Kimber (Corky) was a fantastic host in every way. My wife had a memorable experience hanging out with Muzzle the lynx. The two horses and donkey were friendly and seemed to enjoy having us around.
I won't claim this is a site for everyone. It's a little rough around the edges. But, if you appreciate authentic character, you can't beat the Critter Camp.

This is my second time coming here. We absolutely love Kimber and her animals. Her donkey Abby is my favorite, she yells at us over the fence when she sees me demanding pets and will follow me around like a dog. I will always stop back anytime we are in Tennessee.

Pleasant space surrounded by farm and critters. Kimber (“Corkey”) ran out an extension cord so I was also able to charge my batteries. She is a warm and welcoming (and quite entertaining / funny host. I will stay there again if I ever return to the area.

Absolutely amazing stay! The host is incredibly sweet, as are the critters! Great views of the moon and stars. EXCELLENT location. Very easy access to the national park.
Definitely reach out before you arrive to get a lay of the land, but it had everything we needed for our trip :)

Kim helped us park, hook up electric, and know the layout on a cold night. She is very accommodating.
It isn’t a private area but we never had any intention to hang out. We needed a safe place with quick access to pigeon forge. It was exactly that.
We had a trailer so we can’t really comment on fire pits or bathrooms.

A wonderful, unique experience! Kimber was so friendly and easy to communicate with before arrival, and even helped us get a fire going once we had set up camp. Slept in a quiet area with tons of stars and woke up to friendly horses and a donkey, which we were welcome to pet and brush. We would happily stay here again!

Kimber was the sweetest lady making sure we felt welcome and had a nice stay there the entire time. Some complaints but the main ones I have are that the area where we were camping had horse manure in it and then the reason we booked the stay here was for the shower which is her basement shower that ended up being too bad for us to use. It had water that was stuck in the drain for the first 2 days so we went and paid for showers at another campsite for our trip. You’re better off staying at an actual campsite with other campers if you’re coming for the Smokey Mountains but she is sweet.

Kimberly was a wonderful host. She eagerly helped me settle in - even helping me back up my camper, and lending me tools that I needed for a repair.
If you don’t mind neighbors, this is a great place to stay!

FASLE ADVERTISEMENT!! The host didn’t even pick up the yard before!!! From what we saw there’s only one of the horses and it’s the little white one & the lion things cage…. RACHET!!!

This property is like a mini farm, but the camping area is too close to the neighbors' backyards. The main reason we pick this place was to have a shower and be near the Smoky National Park. But the smell in the basement and bathroom is really funky and the tub/shower doesn't drain well. We tried to clean up the shower, but the nasty stuff would not go down the drain. We were so disappointed, it was too gross to use it more than once. Also, we didn't realize we would need to open and close 2 gates every time we came or left. On the plus side, Kimber is a really kind host, it is a great location, and it was fun to see her critters roaming around.

I was set to be here for two nights but due to car trouble only made it for 1. I have stayed at many hipcamps and this one was different. You have regular house neighbors all around you so if you seek space and privacy this is not for you. There is a covered patio area but my truck camper baked in the sun during the day. It was cool to see the horses and donkey roam with the sunset in the background. There is a full bathroom but it needs a deep clean and the tub backed up and it was a little gag worthy. The pros are the location to the national park, the camping area is fenced in so my dog got to run around, and the view of the stars were out of this world.

It’s a nice property and location. I’d say that summer is a tough time of year as it was quite hot. Otherwise a nice stay if you can find a way to best the heat.

Corkey's Critter Camp
My wife and I had a great time camping here, everything was fantastic. Our dogs had a large fenced area to explore, there were covered areas and plenty of seating, and two fire pits. The nearby horses and donkey were also friendly companions. Overall we had no complaints and would recommend Kimber’s land as a great camping spot to just about anyone.

If you love friendly animals and the Great Smokey Mountians then Kimber's property is perfect. She provided us with up close experiences with her animals that you won't forget. She also took great care of my dog when we went tubing and gave great suggestions on where to go to see wildlife and eat and things to do. She was very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable.

We enjoyed our time here, and found it to be both as advertised and priced accordingly.
We weren’t looking for an isolated, wildlife immersive experience though - and if you’re looking for that, you should try another spot, as this location is very close to a residential area..
What we got was a safe, clean place to pitch a tent, surrounded by fence, complete with a covered area, fire pit, beautiful Mountain View’s, and coincidentally a star- filled sky. Running water, and a bathroom/ shower are nearby, outside the gate, and we found the location to be 25 minutes from our key weekend destination, Dollywood. The farm animals (very social) and serval were a bonus for us, and a nice touch if you have kids. (Bring apples for Abby the donkey, and horses Cherokee and Pet)
Kimber was pleasant, accommodating, and honestly exceeded my expectations as a host. We’ll definitely recommend this place to others.

Critter Camp was perfect for us! I loved being around the 2 horses and donkey. They would graze around the campfire and loved getting pets. Kimber was kind, helpful, and easy to get along with. There are other houses around, but I still felt like we had some privacy. Being in the valley, we had a big sky with good views of the stars and mountains. The location is so close to the National Park and Pigeon Forge, making exploring the region super easy.

Kimber was super friendly and helpful, my girlfriend and I had a wonderful time staying at her camping spot. Her horses and donkey were both very friendly and we had a lot of fun interacting with them. The lynx encounter was also very cool and I'm glad I got to cross that off my bucket list. The views and anemities are top notch and the location was very central to all of the things we wanted to do.
The only thing I would say is that you have a high likelihood of being within 50 feet of another camper and may end up sharing a fire pit. We did have the option to love into a larger field to get away if we wanted to but most of the camping amenities are in one area so we chose to stay there.
We had a great time getting to meet another couple but if you're looking for true isolation, this might not be the perfect spot for you.

We came in on a very rainy night and despite being park in an area that we wouldn't have gotten out of on our own we were pulled out by a tractor (which my kids were ecstatic to watch). The animals were sweet and Ms. Kimber was a wonderful and patient host, even with my small horde of tiny humans, introducing each animal to the kids. Will definitely come back again.

I enjoyed tent camping at Zoo Rescue Camp! I also liked having access to an interior bathroom and shower with hot water. The directions were very clear and Kimber was very accommodating when my plans changed last minute. Also, great views and loved interacting with the animals.

I loved this place. I am really bad at backing up my pop-up camper and nearly gotten it stuck. Kimber used her own farm equipment to free my camper. She really went the extra mile and made our stay great. On top of that the lynx was Beautiful and amazing to encounter in person. I would strongly recommend this place and would come back if I was in the area.

The whole family enjoyed our stay with the critters! Abby the donkey was hilarious, she kept us and the kids laughing every time she came around. The horses are so beautiful and well behaved. The serval and lynx are absolutely gorgeous!
Accessing the site and amenities are easy and both are well taken care of and you can tell improvements are being made every day.
