As a solo camper it was super important for me to find a campsite I felt safe and comfortable at and Kimber’s was just that! I felt totally safe the whole time and the campsite itself was well maintained and comfortable. The animals were a plus as well :) Kimber was an attentive host and gave great recommendations for hiking trails and cool places to check out. Would stay here again if I’m back in the area. Thank you Kimber!

really chill campground overall. lots of space to spread out and set up tents without feeling on top of each other.
the community fire pit is a vibe at night, just hanging out and relaxing.
host Kimber is the goat, super easygoing and welcoming.
also the horse and donkey are super friendly which is a nice bonus
would definitely come back

Kimber, the host, has created a truly exquisite and open space here. It’s quiet and vast, perfect for soaking in the greenery. Kimber herself is so down-to-earth and inspiring, especially given her background with animal rescue. Seeing Cherokee the horse and the dogs (shoutout to Daffy!) added so much character to the stay. I left feeling refreshed and inspired!
The fellow campers were a lovely bunch to strike a conversation with.
Absolutely recommend this HipCamp.

we had such a fun weekend here! kimber was great and provided amazing suggestions for places to go. this was the perfect place for us to stay as 2 young women… we felt safe, the space was clean and it fit our needs! would definitely stay here again, thank you for a great weekend!

Critter camp was great! We had a couple cold nights but Kimber was extremely accommodating with firewood and anything else we needed. Great site, great animals, amazing host, couldn't ask for anything else on our visit to the Smoky's.

Simple place to stay especially if you have a dog. Great hiking nearby and of course it's a 15min drive from Pigeon Forge TN!
She does have a bunch of neighbors that can be a bit noisy if you're tent camping. Would definitely go here again

I had such a peaceful time at Kimber’s farm. I really enjoyed seeing the horse and donkey while it still felt relaxing and quiet. Close enough to some touristy stuff but also felt adequately tucked away.

Corkey's Critter Camp
The host was very cordial and kind. She has a great deal of property there and had several other people come during the weekend however we were able to pull our travel trailer in a fenced area which allowed us to let our dog run free, which we greatly appreciated. This was the first hip camp we had ever stayed in and it worked out really well for us because it gave us the opportunity to be right in the middle of the things we wanted to see and do like Cade‘s Cove Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
She was actually hosting I believe a community scavenger hunt on our property and the other campers participated and had a good time with it. My husband and I just stayed within our little area because we’ve just recently gotten married and wanted our time.

Camping at Critter Camp was such a wonderful experience, so highly recommended for anyone taking a trip to the Smokies, or Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge.
We came up to camp, do Dollywood, and hike the smokies, and Critter Camp plus our amazing host Kimber was just such an awesome experience!
We got to meet and feed and pet some very sweet animals on the property! We met Cherokee, a 24 year old horse, and Abby a 30 year old donkey, and Bailey the 10 year old dog. All of them were just such an awesome addition to the trip!
Cherokee and Abby hung out with us around the campfire, and while we were winding down for the evenings. They love carrots and apples!! We pet them and they would clomp around munching on grass and just hanging out. Overall just such a great addition to have animals around while camping.
Kimber was also such a gracious host! She brought along a trash can for us to use, and also we got the firewood bundle, which is SO worth it! Overall 10/10 would camp again! Just watch out for the droppings when setting up camp!

Host was very kind and accommodating. The space was wonderful and in a good location. Saw some said it was hard to find. The host sent specific directions that made it super easy. Cherokee the horse and the donkey (don’t remember her name 😔) were great company. Will stay here again

Beautiful Small Farm near a small town with shops places eat not far from Pigeon Forge..Host was friendly...I had little trouble finding the place as I was so tired mis read info place clean fire pit..table Beautiful Dunky came to visit. Love it! Will be back thks !

Kimberly met us as soon as we got there and gave us all the info we needed. She was very nice and everything was just as advertised. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

our stay could’ve been a lot better. the worker is very… odd. she walks around with her little cigarettes and doesn’t speak to anyone but heterosexual, white people i guess. everyone is extremely passive aggressive, and the owner knew how many people would be in our group (5) and the worker left a note AFTER taking pictures of our things telling us to move right now. we had three small tents with us due to the amount of people we had and our resources. we immediately moved once they told us too, and apologized for the inconvenience. we also paid the extra $10 that she had asked for. the tent sites are not marked, there is only room for 2 sites inside the gated area despite the owner saying there’s 3 in her message to us, i’m not sure where there would be room for a third… 2 fire rings available but oddly spaced and makes everything just confusing. there’s also a cute table inside the gate but someone took all of the chairs away after we arrived so we couldn’t utilize it. but as soon as another guest showed, bam the chairs were back. the horses and donkey are very friendly but those were the only animals we saw. the attendant was friendly with the other campers but didn’t say a single word to us. the walls are very thin when you are using the restroom, but watch out. they will talk about you behind your back lol. we had run out toilet paper and nothing had been stocked. they knew we were out but guess what.. another guest? stocked! at first i thought the owner was a lovely lady when she introduced herself on the third day of us being there. our final morning this lady decided to confront our teen in the group ALONE. inside, and stated “we are just breaking every rule in the book”. she stated in the messages to my spouse that it was okay to have 5 in the group. we followed all the rules provided to us.
we wish no ill intent. just trying to be respectful, do our part and let people really know what’s going on here and will not be back.

It was a great first experience camping with my dog. The camping area with completely enclosed. It had a canopy, table, fire pit and chairs which made the camping easier. Bathroom facilities were available at all times.

A good place to spend the night.
Pros: Convenient location, excellent host communication, great to have a flushing toilet and hot shower.
Cons: The bathroom and basement "lounge" area are musty, a little cluttered.

Great place to camp! Felt very safe as a solo traveler and Kimber is so nice. The location is perfect if you are visiting SMNP. Would enjoy a day of hiking and would come back to enjoy some time with the animals. If you visit (which you should) make sure you follow the host’s directions, not a mapping app. Will definitely stay here again if I am down in Tennessee!

The owner was very nice & informative of all the amenities provided. Firewood was plentiful & made for great fires, having a bathroom & shower was a nice amenity to have when you normally don’t get those. She also gave me directions of how to navigate to certain spots in the area. All the animals were friendly & caused no issue. Highly recommend this place & I would stay again for sure.

We had a great time staying here in our van. The horses and donkey were sweet. The lynx was super cool. Kimber was very kind and graciously helped us out of some mud we got stuck in. We also had a great time getting to know her and some other campers around a fire. This is a very country set up - everything works but it's the opposite of fancy so be prepared for practical.

Had a great experience here ! The host was nice as pie and Annie the donkey was just a real treat and the most friendly donkey this side of the Mississippi . The campground itself isn’t far at all from town or the national park . Would for sure book again !

We had a uniquely great experience camping on Kimber's land. Our travel trailer rolled into the fenced in area adjacent to a sheltered picnic area and fire pit. The dog loved being off leash!
Kimber (Corky) was a fantastic host in every way. My wife had a memorable experience hanging out with Muzzle the lynx. The two horses and donkey were friendly and seemed to enjoy having us around.
I won't claim this is a site for everyone. It's a little rough around the edges. But, if you appreciate authentic character, you can't beat the Critter Camp.
