My friend and I had a really lovely Memorial Day weekend at Honeysuckle Springs! The hosts were incredibly personable, communicative, and accommodating — it's clear they deeply care about their guests' experience.
The property is beautiful with gorgeous Smoky Mountain views. There was a main bathhouse that offered hot showers, a convenient single bathroom near our hilltop site, and a potable water pump nearby. The location is also perfect for exploring — close to Dollywood, the Great Smoky Mountains, and several scenic spots and hikes the hosts recommended.
We're giving 4 stars instead of 5 because we came in expecting a more private camping experience based on previous reviews and photos. The two nearest sites were closer and more visible than anticipated — one right next to us, another in our line of sight — with little sound separation. Neighbors packing up at 5:30 am woke us and at least one other camper. This was obviously not the hosts' fault (quiet hours are 10 pm–7 am), but worth noting if privacy and quiet are top priorities. See photos for an idea of the distance between neighboring sites and #1 Hilltop Mountain View [Hosts - please correct if any sites are labeled incorrectly]. There are other sites at the campground that are more secluded.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay with gracious hosts! We’d happily return, aiming for a more private site, and would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t mind a more social camping environment.
