TN PRIVATE, SINGLE RV SPOT ON 8 ACRES: OFF-THE-GRID single private self-contained RV; (additional tent is OK), primitive camping, not a "camping" subdivision with neighbors within 10 feet, your private mountainside and Hummingbird Valley to enjoy. In Pigeon Forge but ABOVE the city hustle and bustle, adjoins Dollywood so you will at times hear the train whistle and roller coaster excitement (Dollywood hours are not too early or too late); less than 5 minutes to Old Mill, Dollywood, le Conte Center, grocery stores, shopping and many attractions, short drive to Gatlinburg, white water rafting, zip lines, hiking, horseback riding, Smoky Mtn Natl Park Off-the-Grid, - NO water, sewer or electric access to propane grill and picnic table 3 minute walk up the road at barrier gate. Only 1 site on private gravel road on mountainside acreage with no thru traffic; you will unlock/lock gate for entry/exit to your private mountain-side wooded retreat with view of valley through the trees and mountains in the distance. This RV site is on the mountain side not in the valley or mountain top. Access road is blacktop to the barrier gate and then 2 minute drive on a 1 lane gravel road to the campsite (see pictures). There is a 50 foot circular area to turn around so if you are too big to turn around in 50 foot area--you are too big for this site. There is wildlife in the area so be sure food and trash are inside your RV or vehicle. Do not leave food or trash out as that will attract wildlife. Trash should be deposited in the garbage cans in the metal cage by the barrier gate. SO OBVIOUSLY - AS ALWAYS/EVERYWHERE -- DO NOT FEED WILDLIFE; AS THAT CAN ENDANGER YOU AND FUTURE CAMPERS. These are wild animals even if they are within the city limits of Pigeon Forge.There is black top road to the barrier gate which you will unlock to enter your private mountainside. You will have access to use the gas grill and picnic table at the barrier gate.. The mountainside acreage borders Dollywood. You are minutes from the activity of Pigeon Forge but you will be above it all and have PRIVACY! You will see into the valley below (fire flies in season) and more mountains in the distance. Even though camping site is in the city limits there is the possibility of wildlife in the area so manage your stay accordingly.

It was a good spot to park for a week and enjoy the numerous activities in the area. We really liked how it was in a very convenient location just far enough off the main strip that you dont have to deal with to much traffic. If you really wanted to you could easily ride a E scooter or bike to dollywood. Brain's directions were very easy to follow. He was very responsive and friendly. At the end of long hot days walking in the sun it was enjoyable to take a dip in the pool.

Had a wonderful weekend at the campsite. Enjoyed the pool and the peaceful surroundings. Only took about three minutes to drive to Dollywood and near to all local attractions. I can't recommend enough how much of a treasure this place is.

Woodsy Mountainside Solitude

I enjoyed my 3 night stay at this primitive campsite. I arrived late in the evening and GPS took me almost to the right road to turn on. Unfortunately for me, there is another road 75 ft before the actual road where one is to turn. I mistakenly took that road and ended up having to do a near impossible turn around given my truck length and short 12 foot trailer) near some dumpsters and the exit from another campground/trailer park. The host's directions are very good, it was just darkness and unfamiliar area that led to my challenge. The entrance gate was at the end of a condo complex and kind of looks like a dead end. I was relieved the gate code worked and I was quickly through. I proceeded down the single lane gravel path til it opened in to a small clearing sufficient to turn around and park in. I actually parked on the road as Brian said I would be the only traffic. The site was peaceful, quite and felt surrounded by woods. There's a little bit of mountain view in one direction. Signage both by the condo garbage dumpster you pass on the way and at the actual campsite remind you you are in bear country and need to take appropriate precautions. I didn't see any bears, but did see plenty of deer scat and one pile my imagination said could be from a bear. I was happy to have my more secure camper to stay in. If tent camping, I would recommend familiarizing oneself with how to do that safely. It was a great home base for me during my short visit. I definitely will go back.

This property is a great option. It’s easy to get to and it’s just minutes from downtown Pigeon Forge. If you can do dry camping, it’s a great spot. We got a great day of rest one entire day. Very secluded but minutes away from civilization too. Brian, the host is very responsive to messages.

This is a perfect “dispersed” or rustic camp site with a lot of privacy, yet it’s so close to the heart of Pigeon Forge. If we needed something from the grocery store, there is one a little over a mile from the campsite. Brian, the host was very friendly and helpful in helping us have our best stay possible. We will definitely be back!

One word, WOW! This site is super private with a thick forest on one side and a wood embankment on the other. There was ample space for two vehicles and our tents and camping equipment. The campsite was clean and easy to find based off the hosts directions. A private locking gate separates you from the rest of the world! I ABSOLUTELY loved being next to Dollywood hearing the rollercoasters going by and the train choo chooing along! I would think a medium sized RV would have no problem navigating the road to the campsite and turning around! I had access to the pool which was a great way to cool down after a day in the national park! Garbage cans and a grill were available for use near the locked gate. I couldn't have had a better private campsite so near to Dollywood and all the local attractions. Thank you Brian for allowing campers in your private retreat!!!

When we arrived at this campsite it was locked behind a gate. Although the owner gave us a code to unlock the gate, after multiple attempts we could not access the site. We tried calling and messaging numerous times before abandoning the site and staying at a nearby Walmart. When we finally got in contact with the owner the next day he said this had never been an issue but would not come and assist us, even after we sent a video of us trying to unlock it the way he explained. I would be very wary of anyone booking here.
