Creekside Bluff Primitive Camping is tucked away on Mowbray Mountain, overlooking the Soddy-Daisy Valley. Just 26 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, this secluded campsite is surrounded by woods, bordered by a peaceful creek and a beautiful bluff line, offering a true back-to-nature experience.
If you're into rock climbing or hiking, this is your ideal base camp. The property is just minutes from some of the best climbing and hiking access on the Cumberland Trail, with Mowbray Mountain offering miles of rugged terrain to explore.
Even better, North Chickamauga Creek Gorge State Park is only 10 minutes away and features a refreshing blue hole — perfect for cooling off after a day on the trail. Whether you're chasing adventure or simply looking to unplug in a beautiful natural setting, Creekside Bluff has you covered.
Please note: This is primitive camping. There is no running water, electricity, or bathroom on site. It’s recommended that you bring all necessary supplies and are prepared to pack in and pack out.
Access to the campsite is via a gravel road. While not extreme, it’s strongly recommended that you have a 4WD vehicle or one with good ground clearance to navigate the terrain safely.

There are good trees for hammocks, perfect for relaxing.
This is a primitive site, so please pack in what you need and pack out everything when you leave.
