A secluded 43.3 acre property bordering the Blue Ridge Parkway with a once in a lifetime expansive view sitting at 5,100 ft. which gives you cooler summer nights. Some sites you’d see right in front of you include Clingman’s Dome, Newfound Gap, Mt. Leconte, an expansive view of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, the town of Cherokee and many other things.

***4x4 or AWD vehicles only, no exceptions*** **There is no electricity available on site so come charged up or have a way to power your things** Spectacular wide range views over 5,100 ft. facing west towards Clingman’s Dome and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as well as other notable peaks such as Newfound Gap and Mt. Leconte. The campsite is located up a private 1/2 mile driveway at the top of the property. There are two picnic tables on site, a nice size fire pit and plenty of seating. There is also firewood for you to use during your stay. To access the property you will need to enter a code to unlock the master lock for the red security gate. You can access miles of trails / old logging roads and numerous unnamed waterfalls directly from the property.

Red Spruce Camp

The campsite is located up a private 1/2 mile driveway at the lower lot of the property. There is a nice size fire pit and plenty of space for sitting around it. You can access miles of trails / old logging roads and numerous unnamed waterfalls directly off the property.

Billion Dollar View Campsite
Pros: View is amazing! Arguably better than most of the overlooks on the Parkway Elevation makes it a great spot to escape the summer heat Great centralized location to enjoy local attractions & hikes/waterfalls in the area Host was awesome! Very responsive, great communication & instructions Complementary firewood available to use at site Secluded, quiet, relaxing Cons: Not many level spots on the site. We did not notice until the day we were leaving, but there are some pieces of 2x4’s that could have been used to level our cooking station & cots Very rocky. Difficult to get tents stakes into the ground. Even used lag bolts and an impact driver in place of stakes & still had a hard time Not much grass, mostly dirt site Things to note: 4X4 is absolutely required for the drive up Long drive up the mountain but the views are worth it There appears to be multiple trail cams on property which provided a sense of security while we were away from camp. There’s one at the entrance that Scott told us we could turn off, but we also noticed one at the top of the camp that’s not accessible. We weren’t made aware of this cam. Not sure if it was on or not but it appeared to be pointed directly at the campsite and did make the site feel less private Spacious site with beautiful views. Scott has added some nice amenities like a grill, plenty of seating, picnic tables, hammock stand, & free firewood. We absolutely enjoyed the place and would recommend to others. Billion Dollar View Campsite
We had an absolutely incredible stay at Scott’s property! The views and sunsets here are truly magical a real 'billion-dollar view'. The campsite was perfectly organized and safe for our family and our small dog. Scott is a fantastic, responsive, and helpful host. Highly recommend this spot for an unforgettable camping experience. We would definitely love to come back!

Best view I’ve ever seen while camping. Almost looked surreal at times. Super spacious, more than enough seating and hardly any bugs at all. Would definitely recommend. Will be back!

We had a great time at Scotts campsite, the view is not portrayed well enough in the pictures, it is honestly breathtaking. Scott was helpful and quick to respond when needed. I would definitely recommend to add this to your bucket list!

Absolutely safe and with a view far beyond imagination. It is a must to see the mountains peeking through the mist in the morning and the beautiful pastels that paint the sky in the evening. The site if very well maintained and the host is absolutely wonderful. Heed by the host’s request to drive a 4x4. I 110% recommend. This site would be great for two couples or a big family as well. A must do camp site for sure. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy!

Billion Dollar View Campsite
The view is amazing and exactly as pictured. Very private site but also plenty of room if you are camping with multiple people. The site is simple enough to find with Scott’s detailed instructions. Close to some many hiking trails and other activities. Scott was an amazing host, very helpful. We were running late due to work and traffic and Scott was kind enough to escort us to the site since it is not the easiest to find in the dark. Above and beyond!

Beautiful view with gorgeous sunsets over the mountains...... Perched 5100 feet above the valley overlooking Cherokee into the Smokey Mountains National Park! Just a warning..... The 4WD requirement is serious! There are some loose gravel off camber spots on the road up to the property that cause some issues! Scott is a great host with a very well appointed site! Room for a few car camp rigs on the site so bring some friends! Will definitely visit this one again!
